  1. That made me laugh. The torque of a nitrous shot has nothing to do with the balancer, now the input shaft of the tranny might feel that way. Crank pinning is mostly used for blower cars. They create the most load on the crank pulley, as you are spinning another item that increases in load with rpm. The accessory drive doesn't create a huge load, which is why GM doesn't pin the cranks.
  2. I will assume you mean loosening the balancer bolt, and I will agree with you on principle. The only time I have seen a balancer come off was a boosted LS1 RX7 that had reused one of the factory crank bolts. Thats a definite bad idea. That should be LSx tech tip #1: If for any reason you remove the crank bolt, do not reuse it. A new one can be purchased for 8 dollars.
  3. Do you actually understand how these are pinned? The pins go parallel to the crank, not perpendicular. The bolt retains the balancer.
  4. The pin isn't going to retain the balancer, the balancer bolt is supposed to do that job.
  5. Don't bother pinning it unless you are running a blower.
  6. I borrowed a buddies for a few runs at the track and loved it. I am going to Bestbuy tomorrow to pick up the HD version. This film was the standard version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGZtC6x2O28&feature=related
  7. That 10 bolt will last even with big power as long as your not side stepping the clutch at the track. Mine lasted for a long time with 5ish at the wheels launching it at 6400 on Drag Radials.
  8. Eibach sportlines. And with the headers, go stainless. Top of the food chain:Kooks, Stainless Works, or QTP. As nice as your car is, I wouldn't put junk headers on it. If you aren't going crazy with power, skip dumping a bunch of money in the suspension, and box the LCAs with some flat stock. That will clear up most of your wheel hop issues.
  9. You can upgrade that, don't put a stock one back in. Are you using stock 3 pinion planetaries in that still?
  10. 15,500 but they offered you 13,500 or less
  11. These guys make some of the best meals ever!! The TurBaconEpic was....EPIC!
  12. C'mon, you gotta put a cam in it , longtubes and a lid. You can pull fuel out in the lower rpm's , and get better mileage. I was putting down a lil over 450 to the wheels and still getting 30 on the highway.
  13. That is a nice car, I went and looked it over at Hidy.
  14. Oh, my bad, you have an LSx in that thing? If not, Eat shit, ricer.
  15. Rally's fries are a meal by themselves.
  16. It makes it easier if you have a musical background. Starting from scratch will take you much longer.
  17. If you have ever played any other instrument, it is 50% easier.
  18. As an investment opportunity, not wise. As a driver it needs to be 16500 or less. Built 3rd week of June, Red interior, bolero red paint. Red buckets, Center console, RPO Z21 style trim group. Built in Norwood, Ohio. It doesn't have any codes for up level equipment, and was either a base 327 V8 car or and inline 6.
