  1. glad you got the no start problem fixed
  2. go check pick-n-pull they might have one it'll be cheaper than new if you can't swing the money for a new one, part does cross over to some civics
  3. that looks like the cap only, get the rotor too if your gonna try that first, but 95% of the time when the tach doesn't move when cranking its the ignitor
  4. sounds like the ignitor is bad, take the distributor cap off check for moisture and is there any white powder looking stuff inside the cap? if so the coil is junk if not ignitor. I do remember a few years ago we had a 98 GSR come in with a no start issue and the distributor rotor was bad, so I would start with the cap and rotor first since its the cheapest area to start, if that doesn't do it then the ignitor
  5. most common issue with those cars are: A. ignitor is bad, B. coil is bad. both are inside the distributor cap. however you said the engine was a little wet, make sure the distributor cap isn't cracked or the seal isn't allowing water in. if you do get it running use a spray bottle filled with water and spray the distributor cap and look/listen for arching if so replace the distributor cap and seal
  6. when cranking the engine over does the tach bounce?
  7. I didn't get any boo's when I was there in the SS brice road was horrible, boring and just a total let down
  8. WHAT? you finally give up on that stink up north?
  9. Jim is our District Rep, he's fair with all our customers, I'd still call it wont hurt anything, and Jason is there a code for EGR valve lift or EGR air flow? BTW Kevin do you work at Roush Honda?
  10. I've seen customers bring their high mileage TL's in for a trans issue, get pissed at us for telling them they have to pay for it, next thing I know the car is in the shop getting a Honda/Acura re-man transmission for free all because they called customer serivce a bitched, so its worth a try
  11. how long have you owned this car? your best bet would be to call Honda customer relations and complain to them, but they will check your service history and if very little to nothing has been done then your s.o.l. but if all services have been done they might take care of it or do a 50/50 split with you.
  12. Incorrect gear ratio, was the code aP0720 or P0730? its common on a lot of Honda/Acura cars, but it means the trans will need replaced unless you can find a shop that can rebuild it, but all Honda/Acura dealers replace automatic transmissions, we only rebuild the manual transmissions.
  13. it was a rhetorical question, and NBC has apologized about their story, hmmmm
  14. sounds like a rear transmission mount to me
  15. I read somewhere that they removed the rings so people wont know their system is getting the RRoD, I don't know how true that is
  16. just upgrade your HD and save your money, I bought a PS3 80g and upgraded my HD to a 500g, the HD cost me $79.99 its WAY cheaper than buying a new system with a bigger HD
