  1. And the Veyron goes 10.8@140 stock, no one gives a shit.
  2. http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/2013-shelby-gt500-24.jpg just check out that speedo:zoom: also, fuel cut off just over 7000RPMs for faster 0-60 - 62MPH in 1st gear @ 7000
  3. Another car on the way is the Fiesta ST. Simply based on looks, i would go with the Fiesta(but I hate the style of the 500 with a passion...), and I guarantee that it performs every bit as well. Now, the Fiesta ST vs the Cooper S is an interesting comparison. I expect the ST to be on par with the Cooper S and cost a few $k less.
  4. I don't have any first hand experience, but I've heard that most of these long travel trucks need front end alignments on a regular bases. A TTB-equipped Ford Ranger('83-'97) is definitely the cheapest and most durable way to get into long travel.
  5. That's bullshit. Nearly every bent frame came from the one "Raptor Run" in Nevada(IIRC), and every truck from that event that had a bent frame(10 out of 14) had the speed limiter removed and was running 100+MPH when they hit the kicker(that no one was warned about of course). Most were also running softer Deaver leaf springs in place of the stiffer stock springs. Even trophy truck teams pre-run courses, but these guys didn't. There are a lot of guys that have "went out and off-roaded" the Raptor, but extremely minute amount have had issues - let alone bent frames. Ignorance and stupidity IS NOT an excuse!
  6. would rather have a mini cooper S JCW, the 500s are ugly as all hell. the abarth is definitely an improvement in looks though, more so in the way of 'functional ugliness' rather than actually looking good.
  7. Alright, we went to a junkyard in Lancastor to try and locate some wheels and couldn't find anything that "actually" fit. We picked up a Toyota Camry wheel and it was "close enough" - 5x4.5(114.3). Definitely not safe in any way, shape, or form - especially with fawkin lug bolts instead of studs - but it made it home. Had to put it in the rear since it has a fawkin 44" Bogger on it(*obvious exaggeration*). Thanks for the offers though, was worth a shot. Still looking for a VW Passat wheel if anyone has one for sale. PM me if anyone has one they want to get rid of. I don't think he's interested, he just wants to get rid of this thing now. It's been nothing but problems.
  8. Yea, still stuck here. We should have a ride showing up at 11, but still need a wheel if anyone has one.
  9. My friend traded his civic(which has a common bolt pattern of course) to another friend's cousin for this Passage, and that guy said it had the spare in it. We hit a pot hole and bent the rim, went to change the wheel and of course it want there.
  10. Stuck in lancastor with a bent rim in a VW Passat and no spare. Is there anyone close willing to sell a spare(5x112)? Will pay for gas to bring it out.
  11. http://beta.demonoid.me/files/details/2774411/?hl=gold%20rush Let me know if you need a demonoid invite code.
  12. While they might not be "that poor", I'm sure they're racking up some serious fucking debt with these Alaska trips. I don't even want to imagine the kind of up front investment it takes just for one season up there.
  13. I'd rock the shit outta the 3.7l Mustang. One of my dream builds is a ~450-500HP turbocharged V6 Mustang spinning 8000RPMs, full Griggs Racing suspension underneath, set up for some hardcore road course work, and the 2011 3.7l would be the perfect candidate for this. Anyone want to donate some cash to the cause:gabe:
  14. So why in the fuck do have the cities never have it during halloween? Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Stupid ass shit.
  15. It's amazing that someone can really be that much of a piece of shit! That's just unbelievable, yet at the same time not too surprising after the last season of the show. As far as whether or not these guys are complete jackasses, at least they are out there trying. Their idiocy will be completely irrelevant if they hit gold(that's if they don't get fucked out of it again). I would love to give it a shot even if I didn't get much of anything, would be a hell of an experience! Of course I don't have the same expenses that most others do right now though(a family and that crap).
  16. Cool, I'll definitely check that out. What is the pay like? From what I've read, a business guy in Columbus and AJ Almendinger are partners on the IRL. Really surprised that they made the jump this year after cutting back from 3 cars down to 1 full time in Grand-Am(the reason i was laid off, sucks being the low man on the totem pole) last year, but this season is definitely prime for a team entering IRL. The new engines, chassis, and aero packages should put everything on a level playing field.
  17. Cool, i'll definitely be checking that one out! Can I go there and fill out an app or is it online only?
  18. No I haven't actually. I heard that they are fielding an Indycar next year, haven't heard about NASCAR though. Definitely great people though, he's damn strict about the details, but a great boss. I would like to go back there, but I was only making $8.50/hr when I was there and would really like to make a bit more if possible(at least $10.00) due to bills, blah blah blah. I'll definitely get ahold of them if I can't find something soon though, that was really an experience working there.
  19. Like it says, I really need a job! I live about 30-45 minutes east of columbus, so preferably something this way or even the east side but definitely nothing on the west side. I would like to get into something in the automotive field, but I'm open to just about anything. My last job was an entry level position at Michael Shank Racing(rolex grand-am daytona prototypes), but was laid off after the economy hit them. (was in charge of keeping the fueling rigs for all 3 cars full during the 24hrs of Daytona this year - fucking amazing experience!) I can start ASAP, post up or PM me and I'll send my resume and contact info. Thanks guys!
  20. love the body kit, the hood looks horrible(2 scoops???), the wheels are too fawkin big, and the rest looks great.
  21. the ford raptor has ford specific BFGoodrich all-terrain TA/KO tires. they are identical to the aftermarket TA/KOs except for compound and(IIRC) a stiffer sidewall.
  22. $12k max. then i replace the shit 305 with a 350. a kitten died every time GM produced a 305(early trans am years aside).
