from some one that is about to do this exact thing, id say its just a matter of what your looking for out of thr car. For instance if you want a fast street car that still has options like ac and power windows, just save your self the trouble and buy a v8 car because one way or another its gonna cost you more for the car alone. But if you dont care about that stuff, go pick up a cheap bare bones car and do the swap because you will end up with a car that will weigh alot less along with saving money on it. (Mine weighs just over 3k pounds) and i only paid 2300 for it.

do what i do in these cases, get on kelly blue book. That will usually give you a good idea of what its worth. Plus if you still want the car, take the quote and show the guy his car isnt worth what he thinks.

ok i have a few things ive pulled from my car that i need to get rid of. 96 firebird passenger side air bag- These list at almost $700 dollars on GM's website. i know there isnt much demand for something like this, so i dont know what its really worth. but ill say $300 OBO. it looks like brand new. Rear seat belts With retractors- these work great the last time i checked. they were taken out a while back cause no one ever sat in the back anyway- $50 4.8L LR4 V8- For those of you that dont know, this is an LSX based block. it has all internals (crank, rods, pistons). from what i was told, the block needs bored over a little, but is in otherwise great shape. Does not come with heads, intakes or oil pan.- $100 ill get pics up tomorrow and more to come. i also have a lot of 3800 series 2 parts laying around that ill go through and get up. ask if you need something and ill check though.

its not technicaly test and tune. Its bracket but they have time trials for 2 hours. And nice run scott. my 60 got even worse on my tt pass. Fuckin worthless trails and there worthless track prep

im not completely sure on this but my dad works at bob daniels on morse rd and they are going under soon and he said they had to start getting rid of there cars and they had a few g8s even a gxp the last time i was there. Gm isnt buying any back from them so they may be willing to give ya a good deal on one.

night of thunder sucked ass this year. shockwave (the semi with 3 jets) wasnt even there, and i did the bracker racing and got my first and only time trial run in at about 11:30am then didnt even get my first elimination run till midnight. and they even cut us down to 1/8 mile which sucked ass.

Anyone know what f-bodies weigh on average? Im just curious because a friend of mine has a 98 trans am with most of the options available, and said he had the car weighed in at about 3700 pounds, but i had mine weighed last night and it came in at 3085 pounds. I just cant see how f-bodies can get upwards 3700 pounds. I mean i know i have a V6, but its cast iron so it probably weighs near the same as the LS1 and the only weight reduction i have is, the spare tire and jack, A/C, passenger air bag and stereo + speakers. mine is also is just a base model with power nothing though.
