everything else i needed to get the 383 in.
that is fucking sexy....
im hoping the firebird will be done, but if not, got an issue with the GTO straitend out, so ill just try to beat the firebirds best time lol
this.
talk to them first, give them a chance to make it right and keep things peaceful. if they choose to ignore you, either a giant rock or some sort of stake to mark your property
For those that arent aware, the engine is a carbed gen 1 sbc 383 thats going in a 4th gen firebird. I need a starter, alternator and distributor (its going to be a bitch getting in anyway, so the smaller/more compact, the better.
Nice.
Yea im gonna miss mine as im sure my new setup wont last nearly as long as this one has. ive been bracket racing the car with this engine for 7 years strait making at least 3 passess every week. Never had to touch it other than to change the oil once a year
Ah ok, that makes sense lol. Yea ive never really seen someone build one up like that, but i figured they wouldnt make much over 500 or so on stock blowers. Very impressive though
How did you make that much with the blower? cant say ive ever seen one make nearly that.
On another note, i may happen to have a good running 3800 s2 for sale as well as a 4l60e with a 3500 stall. Perfect starting point lol
I have a set of dunlop sp winter sport 3d's. 245/45/17's. They go for $173 a tire on tire racks website.. not sure what they are worth, but ill say $400 obo about 75% tread left
From what ive read, the chevy ecotecs have been tested to around that power before something let go.
Gn 3800 would be good, pretty sure they hold power well and dont think it would take alot to get it there.
Dont bother with the blown 3800's. You would be far better off pulling an NA. One out of an f body and going turbo
1991 pontiac grand prix se 3.1 v6.
Bought it from my mom for $300. Drove it for like 6 months when i noticed the motor eating oil. So i bought the firebird and sold the gp to my uncle for $500 and used the money to buy the cat back for the bird lol
They make 4 doors. You need to get your priorities strait. Even concerning yourself with possibly needing to give your kids friends rides, is plain out dumb.make sure you and the wife can get to and from work reliably and leave it at that.
