  1. It looks like im gonna be. The whole reason for this was that i found a good deal on a 99 z28 and was going to sell off this stuff for my down payment. Needless to say tge woman shot it down before i even got 'i want to buy' out lol
  2. Actually the NHTSA was aware of the problem and never forced a recall either. With your friend, im sorry to hear that happend. While im no way defending GM, as there obviously was a defective part, they did say that it seemed at least a majority of the cars they have had issues with, the owner had to much weight on the key ring which caused them to fail. Ive been told since well before i could even drive, never to do that (not saying this was friends case as i dont know)
  3. After doing a quick search, i believe they are arias pistons. Flat top with valve reliefs
  4. Im just asking for right now, nothing may come of it, but im curious as to what you guys think these might be worth. The engine: 383 stroker 95 2 bolt main block .030 over eagle cast stroker crank eagle forged I beam rods the pistons i cannot for the life of me remember the name of bought them off my neighbor, said they were some $900 set, i did lookat the manufacturers web site and that did seem to be about right. All i can remember is they are 10.5:1 compression and forged (if i do decide to sell, will take the pan off and see if i can, names on the underside of the piston) Fairly mild comp cam (if i remember right, like .530-.540 @113 lsa) - this also with 1.6 rockers, but i believe i have 1.8's. pro comp aluminum "gen 3" heads. 2.02 intake 1.60 exaust, 190 cc heads. 1.8 proform rockers victor jr intake manifold 1 7/8 stainless long tubes (bought em off a member on here, not sure of brand) Also have A double roller timing chain, cover, summit racing "383 stroker" valve covers. The transmission: honestly, i dont much about it. Bought it from a friend that had it built by hard shift in johnstown. Its a turbo 350 and has a full manual valve body. Let me know what you guys think. Ill try to see if i can figure out exactly what pistons are in it and exact cam specs.
  5. Welcome, great intro. Any idea what kind of car your looking to get into next?
  6. Damn thats awesome. Tim is a good guy. Hes also the one who built the twin turbo 8 sec 3800 firebird
  7. You and me both. Only thing ive found sitting on a store shelf was some mexican made subsonic crap, and they still wanted $49 for it
  8. Bad ass man. Sign me up for the 14 class.
  9. While the gtr is bad ass, ill take the z28 any day. How much does a track edition gtr go for? 100k? For that money ill buy a z28, blower + bolt ons and extra set of rims and slicks, rape said gtr in the 1/4 and track and still have money left over
  10. The envoy is a decent truck. We had an 04 trailblazer with the i6, never had any issues, and asside from sucking down gas while towing, it did alright, but id still get a 5.3 version. With hyundai, personally id say anything pre maybe 2010, is at your own risk. Havent found a kia hyundai yet that wasnt junk.
  11. very good looking car. cant wait for this event

  14. Yep deffinately. should be a good race lol
  15. Ill probably do this, sounds like fun. My only question, i think i know the awnser but just getting wags opinion, but i have an electric water pump and a switch for my fans. Are those allowed in the cooling process?
  16. Amen lol. With billy running the lanes, if you dont have a full blown slick car, you might as well go home
  17. Oh it deffinately was a little better, but still had issues a few nights. Although alot of it i dont blame on management. Some of the guys working just seem like they really care.
