You really do learn to appreciate tech ins when your at the track alot. But there deffinately are the situations like this where tech may not be able to save the car, but it can save a life.

ok so right now i have 11.5:1 speedpro hypereutectic pistons for my motor. well my neighbor just came over and said he had picked up a set of pistons for a build he was doing. He said his builder said they would not work for his motor, so he picked up another set according to his builder. Come to find out, the pistons he has for sale are a set of Forged flat top arias pistons ($95 a piston and the ring set, which he also has is $106 bucks from arias) they are for a 383 stroker basically and he couldnt use them because he just has a 355. these are 10.6:1 compression which i like because i could run pump gas. opinions? just an esimate i know, but any idea what the power differance might be between mine and these? oh and these have never even been in a motor and are still in the original packages. he wants $200 for everything (worth over $900)

dont know if it will be any help, but we used to have a couple that lived in my neiborhood that had a couple dogs that they just left outside at all times. Both dogs were very aggressive towards other animals mainly. The first issue i had with them was an attemped attack on my dog at the time. My dog ended up bitting one in the ear and i kicked the other strait in the throat. second occurance was just one of the dogs and it got a baseball bat to the side. third accurance (which i dont know if you could get away with this where you live) Dog got approx. 200 paintballs to the head/side while it attempted to charge at my dog once again. Not sure if it finally learned its lesson, or the owners did when the dog showed up back home cover in pink and yellow paint lol.

When you get 2 people with broke ass junk cars talking shit back and forth about them and cody trying to give advice, its getting bad...lol. On a serious note though, sir post a lot, dude, you need to get a life. Its quite appearant not to many people are a fan of you on here, but yet you continue to get on here more than me (which is really kinda sad) just to argue with people while you wife is bitching that you spend to much time on here and not with your family. And having your wife fight your battles is just sad...

thanks for the help guys, we got it figured out. the rod froze to the wrist pin in cylinder 5 and locked it up. chad, i told him a while back we should put my 383 in his car lol

he said from what he could tell, there wasnt anything in it, but the motor was still in the car so he couldnt just look in the pan yet. Doing that tonight. is it possible for a motor to just lock up that quick and not be a main bearing?

nope, checked that first and top end is all ok. Mike up and m and m racing in delaware did the heads

also saw those cars, from what i could tell, it deffinately sounded different than a stock SS. i saw the the quad tips and figured it was prolly a ZL1

long story short, found out the motor in the mustang had a cylinder with low compression and needed new rings all the way around. tore motor apart, all new bearing in bottom end, had valve spring seats machine due to bad wear, new valve springs, all new piston rings. dad fired up the motor while i was at work. said it ran fine (in park) for a few minutes, made a quick ticking/tapping sound then the motor locked while he was messing with the timing i guess. it wont turn over at all, even tried with a pry bar and wouldnt budge more than an inch at best. is the motor toast?
