A buddy text me the other day and said that he had found an adapter kit for my 4L60E to work with a SBC.
For those that dont know, i also have a turbo 400 trans that is about to go to the shop to find out for sure if it is built like ive been told.
assuming it is already built, ive been debating on which to go with.
Pros of using 4L60: smaller more efficient trans, would still have OD.
cons: would need to have work done (ive quoted at about 400 for a rebuild kit with stronger components and 300 for labor), adapter kit is 600 bucks
pros of using TH400: possibly already built, would bolt right up, can use trans brake (which i really want)
cons: bigger less efficient, no OD, not sure if same size as 4L, so may need new drive shaft.
which would you choose?
