They are a bit on the heavy side which is probably why people prefer the s2k. Starky on here has one with some mods and i know he was enjoying racing it. Gm makes a cheaper kit to boost power to like 290 as well.

My winter car and the wifes daily are both gm h bodies (olds 88, bonneville), neither is obviously as nice as the caddy, but i just put new tires on the olds and some suspension work on the bonne, now both feel like your floating on clouds. Also drove the bonneville to tennessee with 4 adults, a child and a trunk full of crap and still managed 31 mpg with cruise set at 70 for the most part.

There's a black G8 GT with 106k on it for $13,500 in Chillicothe. Has longtubes, x-pipe and nitrous. I just have the owner as a friend on fb, not sure if he's on here, but I'd say there are a few members familiar with it.

For a daily stay away from the GTO and the G8. It is getting really hard to find some parts, and if you find them the prices are crazy.

 

CTS-V due to overall comfort for a daily.

 

Camaro would be a close second if you have no kids.

 

Newer mustang would also be nice.

Luckily there some aftermarket places that are making parts for them now so its not as bad.

 

I have an 04 gto with 125k on it, no rattles or anything. The main issue with these cars are that alot of the suspension bushings are junk. They can be replaced with poly mounts though and wont break. The rear ends arent as weak as some make them out to be. Although yes if you abuse a stick car you may be rebuilding it.

 

Never driven a gen 1 v, but heard good things.

 

Driven a g8 and honeslty liked my gto better. It rode well enough, but i thought the gto interior was far better. Looking at the dash, i thought i had gotten in my buddies 04 gp.

 

Love driving the camaros. The interiors are pretty cool to look at, but they are a biotch to see out of.

People say they want more weekend meets, but the last two Columbus Cars and Coffee Saturdays have been dry weather, warmer than average for winter, yet only one or two CR members attended.

 

Nick attempts to get CR people together almost every weekend, but lately there's been little interest in either dinner or going to the Hangout. I'm willing to open the place up if there are at least four people wanting to go and if I don't already have something planned. Sometimes you can call me just a few hours in advance, but usually my Saturday night dance card is filled by then.

 

IMHO it is best to plan in advance (as Gary said above) and start a thread to let people know.

 

I would love to come to more C&C, but sadly i work every saturday.

 

Dinners i can do, but do need some heads up in case tge wife already plans and such.

I just read this and think this MAY have some merit as I do believe Rey being Luke's daughter could be a little too, "obvious." I know JJ Abrams likes to keep things a mystery for the audience.

The only thing that points me away from that theory is, maybe im remembering wrong, but didnt obiwon give anakin hell about trying to get with padme because jedi werent suppose to do that kind of thing?

People try to get meets going, but it usually ends up with people bitching About the distance, prior commitments, time of meet, where it is, the weather isn't perfect or any other number of reasons.

 

True you can never make everyone happy, but at least if we say hey, were meeting here on friday nights unless noted, people will know where to go. Come if you want.

There is also a theory that Kylo Ren is undercover to infiltrate the Knights of Ren and get close enough to snoke to kill him. He had to kill Han in order to gain Snokes trust...

 

The funny part is, ive heard harrison ford is already signed up for the next film....

Me theories at this point:

 

1.) Rey is either Luke's daughter, or was part of the Jedi Academy that Luke had instituted.

a.) Kylo seemed to pay special attention when he was told the BB-8 escaped with a girl. "What girl!?!?!?!?" He took specific interest in that.

 

b.) I was told in one of the Star Wars games, Kylo can be heard referring to Rey as "cousin," though I haven't been able to personally verify

 

c.) Another buddy said something to me about it, "he mentioned something about her having her father's lightsaber" I believe in regards to the video game

 

2.) Supreme Leader Snoke

 

a.) Best theory I can run with is Snoke is either darth plagueis (Palpatine/Sidious' former master), or the character was at least inspired by him.

 

b.) The Same music plays in the Snoke scene as is playing in Ep III when Palpatine tell Anakin about his former master.

 

c.) Palpatine tells Anakin in Ep III that his master had learned not only to prevent people from dying, but could even create life. (Palpatine also says his master had taught him everything he knew.) So two things on that. Palpatine wasn't successful in actually killing him or Snoke/Plagueis was able to bring himself back. (In the expanded stories, Sidious didn't actually die when Vader through him down that shaft, and he was actually able to reincarnate himself multiple times). AND...Anakin was immaculate conception. Did Snoke/Plagueis create Anakin? And if he did, that would make Snoke/Plagueis the great grandfather of Kylo Ren/Ben Solo, (Jacen in the EU).

 

As for Rey using the force...yeah, she learned a little quicker than I would have probably portrayed, but it certainly didn't ruin anything for me. Everyone is different. Look at how Kylo uses the force compared to how Vader did. Vader choked a few people. Kylo has demonstrated an ability to do far more than that. Maybe the force gets stronger the longer the skywalker lineage carries on? Or the previous theory, that she was actually a jedi in training before her memory was erased or her brain blocked the horrible memories of her past. Doesn't matter. I got goosebumps and an adrenaline rush every time that lightsaber flew to her hand instead of Kylo's. I was most pleased with the fight scenes.

 

This absolutely felt like star wars to me. Not as much crappy CG as 1-3, real props and costumes....it just felt right.

 

I really liked the characters, Poe, Finn, and Rey. Finn was crackin me up.

 

I want to see it a 4th time, but I have to stop spending all this money, ha ha.

Agreed, im thinking its gotta be lukes daughter, and ill bet she was in training before ben went nuts and killed everyone. Luke got her off the planet, dropped her off on jakku and took off.

Im with ya on the weekend car meet ups. I wish there was more. Would be nice to even just do sonic there on broad every weekend or something simple.

 

I know you said you dont like online gaming, but play GTA with us some time, its a blast when you actually play with people you know.

 

As for a new hobby or something of the like, i know ive mentioned it before, but try paintball. Most places rent equipment fairly cheap, its great excersize, and shooting people is a great stress reliever lol

Ended up only running 1/8 mile. Had to run 20.15 still. Was hard as hell lol. I broke out first round cause i tried to screw with the other guy and it backfired lol
