well right now there is no Z28, but with the 4th gens, the Z28 was the base V8 car and SLP did a few upgrades like a tune and intake a believe for the SS's.

I just read an article a little bit ago in a motor trend magazine i believe about the new ZL1. Towards the end of the article, they mention that chevy has said they will start releasing special edition camaro's every 6 months, at least until it goes to the new chassis in '13 or '14. So what do you guys think they will do? Revive the Z28, or just do stupid little things to the SS and call it a day?

damn, i would have chased his down and beat some ass for that. It is pretty awsome though, we have a guy that runs around here with a mazdaspeed protege that thinks he is a major badass with his little turbo car. this guy (yes i said guy, not kid as he was older than me) tried to race me in the middle of rush hour on main st in reynoldsburg. We ended up at a light with no one in front, so i punched it and got about a car ahead and let off at 20 mph lol. Same guy ended up talking shit to and getting his ass kicked by some kid in an srt neon at trails 2 days later.

shit, at least some of you guys get srt's revving at you. the only thing i ever get are 16 year old kids from reynoldsburg in there riced out junk thinking they are hard asses. I even had one kid in a last gen civic si hatch sit behind me at a light and bounce his pile of crap off the rev limiter till the light turned green.

the motors are monsters. I beat the piss out of my L36 on a daily basis and it makes about as much power as a lightly modded L67.

honestly, that was around what i was gonna guess. I know they usually say its like 15 percent loss through a manual trans, but i have an auto with a bigger stall converter which ive heard can hurt dyno numbers.

dumb question, i know. I have a guy that is interested and wants to know how much power the motor makes. I know there is no way of getting an exact awnser short of putting it on an engine dyno, but i figure i would get a few guesses from people that might have a good estimate. The car put down 225 whp and 230 tq through a 4l60e trans with a some what loose 3500 stall, 1 piece steel drive shaft, torsen posi unit with 4.10 gears.

funny you talk about cobra clones, i was in marietta yesterday and had some guy fly past me in what appeared to be a 95 area cobra. The guy slowed down and i caught a glimpse of his liscence plate that said 'cobra nv'. Then proceeded to down shift and take off again. The car was going nowhere fast and as he was taking off again, i see 1 single down turned exaust tip. Cobra my ass, more like a v6.
