that is pretty amazing that a V10 screams to 9K rpm in a street car. I have to agree with joe though, 300K seems like a bit much. I mean, i understand it has alot of cool and expensive (im sure) features and such, but when i can get a ZR1 for 120K ish out the door with 640 hp and is a beast on the track, personal opinion of course, but ill save that other 180K.

yea i knew it was used in trucks, but some one told me they were using a variant of it in cars.

to awnser your questions, i cant imagine they are to bad in the snow, or at least it cant be worse than firebird was and it didnt do to bad with with a good set of tires. I believe the transmission is a 4L80E. those are just a stronger version of the fbodies 4L60 unit, which can take alot of abuse.

just get the LS2 car and there should be no reason to be scared of a bolt on LS1 car lol

In stock trim they are pretty impressive for an n/a 4 banger. Although i wouldnt call them king. I know shortly after the chevy ecotec came out, chevy kept modding one until it blew. If i remember right it was making somewhere north of 600 with stock internals.

like wagner said, the hp you make, the better it will workand if you dont make enough, depending on how far forward you put it, it can hurt performance.

i dont know much about the V6's in those years other than they werent great on gas and had a measly 140 hp or something like that. I wanted one to until my dad found my firebird. has a bulletproof 3.8 with 205 hp and 230 tq. not to mention mine averaged about 24 mpg with mixed city and highway (more city than anything), and 33 on road trip back when it was stock lol. and the car your talking about may have some parts from a company called super six motorsports
