just a heads up, kroger doesnt have there own gas, we get whatever is cheaper, which most of the time is BP.

can they sounds 'good', at idle and low revs, yes. Can you fool someone into thinking you have a V8? Sure, at idle if you have a cam and good exaust, people think my car is a V8 all the time when i start it up lol.

i wish i could make it, but the car is down and will be for the winter.

actually you would be really suprised how many older guys do bring 12 or 13 second cars out to bracket race. Coming from some one that is at trails on a weekly basis, yes i could see how just doing heads up racing or time trials all the time could get boring. Try bracket racing some time though.

douche #1 Went out to eat with my parents the other night. After dinner we decide to go visit my grandmother. While we are on the way there, this douche bag is flying down a side road and about plows the side of my moms truck. Then said douche bag is riding our ass as were already doing 5 over the limit in a 35 zone in reynoldsburg. When i say this guy is riding out ass, i mean he was no more than a foot back. My dad lets off the gas to slow since douch was riding our ass so bad (not to mention the speed limit went to 25 about 100 feet up anyway). about 30 seconds later we get to a stop light and said douche finally gets off our ass and into the left turn lane. He proceeds to roll down his passenger window and start yelling shit at my dad. before my dad even has time to react, i had my window down and yelled " go fuck yourself dickhead" Now what should have ended right there with the guy being pissed, but taking his turn and driving away, turned into him attempting to peel out, cut the guy off behind us, turns right to follow us and starts yelling more shit. the funny part is, it ended with my mom flipping him off and him taking off like a bat out of hell lol. douche #2 I work at a kroger fuel center and park out in front of it to stay away from the rest of the cars/carts. another guy that works there drives a tiburon and does the same thing. Well he always parks at a weird angle so he takes up 2 spots, and i do this whenever i drive my firebird. Well today i drove the firebird and as usual the other guy was taking up his usual 2 spots, so i parked at the next one over. a little after getting there, some kid thought it was funny to try to weesle his truck inbetween our cars. This mofo was close as hell on both sides and could barely get out of his truck without hitting the tiburon. Hell as this douche bag was getting back into his truck im pretty sure he did hit the tibby, but didnt even act like he cared. after about 5 minutes of this douche and his passenger just sitting there and looking at both of the cars, he finally backs out, looks around and proceeds to attempt to do a burnout. Keep in mind were busy as hell with cars everywhere. As he is doing this, he keeps looking around at people like he was expecting to get some attention. well to bad for him the only attention he got was some lady yelling at him and telling him not to act like a dumbass.

you would actually be suprised. They are good selling cars. They arent the most fun cars to drive or anything, but the SS's sure arent bad.

Again, nobody is "bashing" on the genesis. just stating facts, although yes they are from a magazine. And besides, correct me if im wrong, but didnt you start this thread to basically bash the new camaro for supposedly being on a "truck" platform and so on? i never said either of my cars were sports cars. Your the one bashing the camaro, so have you driven one of those yet? ill bet you havent by the way your bashing them.

As wagner said, get some good details on the car and do a ton of research (ask to see all of this documentation). My dad made a mistake of buying an already built car that even the builder couldnt remember what he had in it. He got lucky though and most of the shit that was wrong with the car was relativly cheap to fix, other than a crap ton of body work.

thats good that you like it, no one was questioning you for it. i was merely stating facts. again, thats good that you like it, but others dont, no need to get pissy about it. i personally like performance cars in general (although yes, i love my american "muscle" or pony cars as you will...) Im baseing my opinion on the fact that motortrend (as well as a few other articles ive read), have had the genesis and camaro basically neck neck over and over again with the genesis barely beating it out in most performance categories while the genesis has a few benefits over the camaro (lighter weight, better suspension, tires...). Not to mention again, you can pick up a base V6 camaro or mustang for around 22K while a base 3.8 genesis is getting pretty damn close to SS and GT pricing.

a couple problems with this statement. 1st off ford did hand over the keys to a new mustang with the 3.7L And it killed the genesis. This article is from motortrend that i read, but they put the genesis at 14.2 and the camaro at 14.3 and the handleing was just as close. They also even mention that the genesis has a stiffer suspension and better tires. So like i said yes it did perform better, but not much. Not to mention i can get a base SS for as much as a 3.8 genesis....

wow, fail.... For one, its not on a truck chassis. For another, the camaro is a very good car, just a bit heavy. The genesis is a joke. the 3.8 track pack car could barely out perform the v6 camaro in any aspect, and got its ass handed to it by the mustang.
