  1. When I was 17 I bought a Geo Storm... salvage title .. .for like 300 bucks... fixed it up some but basically just drove it. Then i came along this guy that was selling a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO, for those who don't know... they are 3.0L 24v DOHC (Yahama Engine ). Had about 100k on it if im remembering it correctly. He took like 600 plus my Geo Storm that had a broken motor mount. At the time it was a very good deal. I loved that car... it was a 5 spd and ran awesome and not to mention it had all leather and was one of the most comfortable cars I have ever drove. I drove it like i stole it. Doing all kinds of stupid things that i look back and think how luck i am to still be here. Then I moved to columbus for college in 2003. Drove it until about the end of 2005 and it was completely falling apart. The engine still ran awesome just the rest of the car fell apart. I had to let it go... gave it up for 250 bucks and bought my 1997 ranger. Its just a 4 banger 5speed. I have put about 100k on it since i bought it back in 2005 however I love it as a daily driver. With some good tires it goes fine in the snow (extremely fun) and is very reliable. In 100k miles only think i have done is replace the battery, alternator, and pcv. It has NO power but its fine with me for a DD. Then in 2006 right after i graduated college i bought the mustang. Got it up in Toledo. The only thing done was gears. Flash forward to now, it has new engine(5.4), cams and working on a spec stage 2+ clutch and a Kenne Bell this winter. One thing that I have tried to do with my cars (i know they are not impressive ) is to keep them drivable on the street. I have worked since i was 15 and have earned everything i have now. I worked 40+ hours a week when i was a full time student in college. I know there are others out there that(probably had it tougher) however for me its something I take great pride in and have no regrets and am happy where i am now. Its very hard for me to spend tons of money on something that i can't stand to drive. Horsepower really doesn't matter to me if i can't stand to drive it on the street. This is kinda of my last winter project for a while. Getting married in Auguest and going to start focusing on other things. Still plan on being a part of the car community and track days for sure, but going to focus the funds on other things like a bigger house (hopefully bigger garage ) and more "practical" things for a while. Like most peoples story... there seems to be a very evident trend ... LIFE... it happens... we change, get board, get "smart"....etc.. so thats my story. Sorry guys this was so long... thanks for reading
  2. Thanks Brian for pointing out the returnless fuel system with regards to the fuel pumps.... i sort of over looked it, well didn't over look just failed to complete my research... you advice is greatly appreciated!!! Plus the BAP are way easier to install than dropping the tank... think i have about 1/4 to 1/2 tank in there now
  3. This is a good read... from what KB says ... with one of there BAP and #36 injectors it should be good to 500rwhp.... read from "Fuel Pressure" down... Thoughts? http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/ford-techinfo/46gtTechTips.pdf
  4. I see... i may be selling it then... still researching ... but i see people getting either the svt pump or the ford gt pump. Also the 2.1L kit comes with a Boost A Pump (BAP). What have you see in your experience that works the best? with rwhp around 400.
  5. http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/ford/gt96-03_2v/gt99-04_2200.htm
  6. #10 pulley so should be around 8-9psi i believe....That should keep me around 400rwhp (i hope ) i will have the #14 pulley but i think that might be a bit much for the stock bottom end. The guy im getting off of was running the #14 pulley with race gas ... put down 460 rwhp to the wheels and blew the engine shortly after. Now he needs money for internals and a new block
  7. Pretty good... my spec flywheel comes in tomorrow ... so i should be able to get the clutch and trans installed this weekend... i ordered a alum driveshaft as well. However that will not be in until early next week. The 255lph fuel pump should be here either today or tomorrow. Really the only left to obtain is the #42 injectors... and just waiting for the KB to be shipped.
  8. Signed up... never done this before... should be fun
  9. I have to admit even though im not a chevy fan... it does look sweet minus those wheels...
  10. Yep... and I have my Ford... so when both go bankrupt ... we will still have ours ... even thought yours > than mine:D
  11. To the untrained eye ... maybe....buy at least they are doing better than GM at this time
  12. Buy a Ford ... spend a shit ton of money but < less money you would spend on this POS = Profit ... but im "retarded"... so flame away
  13. My winter project.... I know i should post everythign up here... but if you want to check out my project check this out.... http://www.modularfords.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125811 if not then go away Brian will dyno it when its done ... Thanks Brian!!! Your the man
  14. Yeah... i have never road raced... just drag racing so far... he needed to lift... easier said than done im sure as i have never been in that situation...
  15. I guess... i have never road raced but he didnt even lift a little and wasn't prepared for the slight left... let alone over a slump .... he was done....
  16. lmfao... he had time to say ... "dont hit the wall... dont hit the wall... god fucking damn it " then boom.... that awesome... :bangbang:
  17. $100 for the 98 non PI one ... hell if you are willing to come get it ... i will give it to your your for $60 ... i just need it out of the building... for the one that came out of my car... its a PI 4.6 that ran strong before the rocker came off... and has 92k on it... make me an offer anything over $500 i will take.... and i will throw in some stock parts for free.....if you need them...
  18. Dont buy it ... i would go with the other persons stripped down version or when i get home tonight i will see if i can find a copy for you.
  19. You might be able to download an OEM Copy of xp pro for a compaq. I know you do it with dell's... i might have a copy... let me do some digging on my server.... the OEM ones are actived from the factory so once you install you don't have to active and you can do all of the windows updates and such.
  20. Also the 4.6 from my mustang IS a PI motor... has 92k and the only thing wrong is 1 rocker came off on driverside or passenger side i really can't remember. I ran when we pulled it about a year ago.
