4. Yeah i was trying not to break out but I did anyways... without the huge/heavy 18's and some suspension and something other than the 555r's it would be into the 11's easy ... but I dont drag race it that much ... so I'm happy with where its at with the current setup.
5. 7. Purchased this helmet about 3 weeks ago. Paid $70 ... you can have it for $65. I took it out of the box and took it to 1 track day for my wife. Found out its not snell approved helmet (didn't do my homework). So its yours for $65 or if you have an SA2005 approved helmet I would be willing to trade. Size: XL http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51SGcGuFs2L._SS500_.jpg Let me know, Shawn
8. How much you want for it? I can stop by one night this week if your around... im still in pickerington and main st is on the way home
9. I need about 12 inches of straight 3 inch exhaust pipe. Anyone have some misc laying around?
10. Bikes and cars don't mix on the track. This is car/truck only event. It wouldn't be a good idea to have bikes and cars on the track at the same time. Nelson ledges has track days just for bikes. Sorry man, but its for the best.
11. Playing with some different flyer designs... http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/9674/shawnflyer2.png
12. I created a pdf flier if anyone is interested in downloading, printing and distributing. http://www.scribd.com/doc/37065316/Nelson-Ledges-Track-Day-October-10th-2010 Feel free to download and email to any friends / family / forums that might be interested. Also if your planning on attending/racing please register ASAP. Thanks, Shawn
13. Yeah the car is capable of those times with slicks.... i have nitto 555r .... best 60 foot this weekend was 1.8xx ... Keep in mind i am running 18inch heavy saleen replicas. I'm happy with those times and given my trap speed... I think it has a 12.1x run in it once I get more practice with the current setup. Still has the stock rear end with 4.10's ... thought about going to 3.73's when I rebuild the rear end. Here is a video... The only item on the car that broke... I guess I was in the throttle a bit to hard .... for the stock plastic to hold up...
14. 10sec93 -- where did you find the image? I know they said photo magic had them available?
15. New best this weekend. The was loving the new tune and cool air! Thanks to Brian @ Dyno Tune Motorsports!!!!! (http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84578)
16. So for those who don't know the background on my car look here http://torquedfords.com/. Brian @ Dyno Tune Motorsports tuned it about a month or so ago. It put down 436rwhp in 90+ degree heat and humidity through the roof. I was happy with the tune, other than it had issues idling and rpms "hanging". I told Brian I needed to work on a few things such as a coolant leak and some vacuum leaks. He offered look at the tune again once I fixed some of the issues. Once I fixed those issues I decided to go to NTR last friday to see what it would do. I was rather disappointed. Best I ran was a 12.865 @ 111.27. However between gears it was falling flat. I scheduled a time (Thursday) to meet Brian at his shop so he could work on the tune. We went for a drive and he data logged. Noticed the problem right away and we went back to his shop. He adjusted the tune and we went for another drive. It was no longer falling flat! Fixed it on the first try. When we got back after a few adjustments it was idling perfect at 900 and the rpms were no longer hanging. I left very happy with his final tweaks. I had anticipated the car running better this weekend at the track but had no idea it would have been this big of improvement. Last run of the weekend I ran 12.347 @ 117.3. I picked up 6 mph! Now alot of it was the tune, but I also got better shifting and experimented with the shift points. I think it can do a 12.2 - 12.1 if I improve the 60 foot and keep trying different shift points. Long story short, Thanks Brian! Brian's main concern was that I was happy with the tune at the end of the day. There are some things that can not be found just putting the car on the dyno. Brian was willing to tweak the tune until I was happy, and I am! Thanks again Brian for your time! I will be back If I ever change my setup! Check out the difference (Once the video is uploaded I will post that as well):
17. Right on http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-2300-X/?rtype=10 The rotors are lets say ... expensive. I'm getting a deal on the cobra r (brembo) setup ... http://degerostudios.smugmug.com/Cars/BremboBrakes/MG3394/994219093_n4oJK-XL.jpg http://degerostudios.smugmug.com/Cars/BremboBrakes/MG3402/994219921_yR7qA-XL.jpg http://degerostudios.smugmug.com/Cars/BremboBrakes/MG3404/994220143_vzfbn-XL.jpg http://degerostudios.smugmug.com/Cars/BremboBrakes/MG3396/994219344_GisEU-XL.jpg
18. My cousin and I will be there Saturday bracket racing. http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/USOH0403?dayNum=1 Awesome weather!!!!
19. Thats what they offered if the weather is crap. Its probably they don't want us on the track in the rain... not that would couldn't do it.
20. Yes essentially their funday format. We will be running 3, 20 minute sessions every hour from 8am - 5pm. Sessions will be spilt up based on skill level. Novice , intermediate and expert. If your not being honest... they will know probably within the first lap and black flag you and will be asked to run with another group. Depending on the number of people we have signup, we may only do 2 sessions every 20 minutes. Just have to wait and see. Either way your going to get a lot of track time. After speaking with Nelson Ledges this type of format seems best for our track day. This will allow the guys who are "experts" or at least good do their thing without having to worry about all the new guys slowing them down. Hopefully this will provide the best track day experience regardless of your skill level. For now the limit is set a 30. However I may raise it by 10 depending on signups. Right now we have 2 people registered. People procrastinate ... however it would helpful if your going to come to get registered ASAP. Depending on signups... we may have lap timing for 20 vehicles. This will be displayed on our site and you will be able to download your lap times if we do this. Just depends.
21. Rough estimate on price i should expect?
22. With the help of our sponsors we are able to offer a reduced fee. Normally they charge $130 per racer.
23. Your welcome! Right now the cut off is set at 30. We may and i say may increase depending on signups. We need to get people registered quickly as possible. This makes is easier for us and the track. Also keep in mind when planning for this event the Rain Date is Saturday, October 16th, 2010. Futhermore here is some code to put a link to this event in your signature if you wish. Nelson Ledges Track Day (October 10th, 2010) - Register Now! * its not php but you get the idea. just copy and paste.
