As far as I know they have to be at lease 18 years of age. You can have passengers if you wish. Let me check with management to be sure on the age. My wife rode with me last year

There will be 3 groups like last year. A, B, C. A group is for drivers with an SCCA license or 10 or more track days. Group B is drivers between 4 -10 track days and also depends on the car they are driving. Group C is drivers with 0-3 track days and car type. As with all groups we evaluate the car and driver. To be honest we are flexible. We had a few drivers that wanted to move up or down a group and we moved them. Also if your assigned to group B and the staff at nelson determines that your holding up drivers or you should be running in group C then they will bump you down a group. Same goes if your a C group driver and you need bumped up to B group. The goal is to give every paying driver the most enjoyable track time as we can being as safe as possible.

They don't require you have an instructor in group C. For about 30 min before any of the groups go out on the track they go over track etiquette and the rules. If you would still like someone to go out with you im sure we can find someone to ride you. Last year we had 18 people in group C. Of those 80% had never been on a track before. We didn't have anyone go off track or anyone leave with damage, again in group C. I was in group C last year. To be honest, if you just take it easy and relax and drive within your limits you will be fine. Your only allowed to pass in 2 places. The back stretch and the front stretch. PM me for more info. I can find someone to ride with you. We had a few instructors there last year.

Awesome! ... I will tell you this. My cousin as a 95 gt ... he went with the Cobra front brakes. Thought they were awesome. Then he rode with me the last session at nelson last year and wished he would have went with the brembo's. I put a set of brembos on the front last year before the event. Even rigged up cooling ducts. Under hard braking in the back stretch going from about 120+ to about 80 or even down to 60 they felt awesome. Never faded just insane grip. That being said my cousins 95 with the cobra brakes did very well. He did not have cooling ducts and said they never really faded through out the 20 min sessions. Its 1 ticket per driver, sorry. They will place a wrist band on each driver at the gate. They validate before each driver goes out onto the track.

What kind of up grades?

I will have 1 extra one i could loan you for some of the sessions. I'm sure you will be able to find one.

craig71188 - I don't believe the vehicle has to be street legal. As long as it will pass tech should be fine. They aren't real picky. Tech last consisted of them pulling on the tire/wheel to make sure no wheel bearing issues. They also check for fluid leaks and the battery is secure. Thats about it. Helmet is required. I suggest the same level of helmet that is required at NTR... Snell approved, however Nelson Isn't real picky. As long as you have one and its DOT approved. You can have a passenger! They must also wear a helmet but your welcome to take someone for a ride they won't forget! My wife sure hasn't

Thanks for the feed back guys. To be honest ... yeah the track is old and a bit rough. However for $100 bucks you will get 7 - 8, 20 minute sessions. Thats over 2 hours of track time. I do want to stress that even if you have a production car with zero mods you can still sign up and participate. We had 18 people in group C last year. Group C was drivers that had 0 -2 track days. We had 18 people in group C last year and not ONE person from group C (the novice drivers) went off track or wrecked!! I have to say I may hit up one of CR's track days this year just to see what the car will do with the new gears, but once you go road course... you won't want to do much else. Comparing the track time to the dollar amount after you do at least one event whether its ours at $100 or some of the other tracks that are much higher you will leave with your monies worth I assure you. Thanks for considering our event! It will be great and I can assure you it is well worth your money to give one a try if you haven't before.

I thought it was fine, however its the first track day for me. I have heard people that race/lap at other tracks like Mid Ohio say its pretty rough. I didn't really notice it much, but then again i haven't raced/lapped on another track yet. Here's my video of the last session. Not sure you can really tell much from it but here you go.
