Last year my wife and I stayed in Streetsboro. Its about 30 min from the track, but the closest town that has reasonable hotels. Heres the link to the hotel we stayed in. If you use priceline you can get it much cheaper. We got it last year for $45 a night. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...d-streetsboro/

Tires are reasonable ....as I said ...subframe connectors, solid steering shaft ( excessive heat toasted the stock rag joint in the shaft last track day), the car already has 13 brembos with new pads all atound, new high temp brake fluid. Fuel system was to keep the stock pump from burning up due to the supercharger and bap.

I made a few changes this year. New tune, subframe connectors, new fuel system, mm solid steering shaft and solid rack bushings. I'm ready http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92819

Yes. Passing is allowed in the front stretch and back by point by. All of this will be covered in the drivers meeting that is mandatory. Check our site once it gets closer for a full schedule.

As of now its rain or shine. In the event it is not possible to get on track at all and Nelson will allow me to cancel/reschedule the event everyone will be given a full refund. Last year my wife and I stayed in Streetsboro. Its about 30 min from the track, but the closest town that has reasonable hotels. Heres the link to the hotel we stayed in. If you use priceline you can get it much cheaper. We got it last year for $45 a night. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/clesw-towneplace-suites-cleveland-streetsboro/ Atire is same as drag racing. I wore a short sleeved shirt last year and that is fine. Its a laid back event. Email me your name and info once your signed up and I will put you on the list for a ride along/ instructor. We will have a hand full of them. Most car insurance will not cover damage. Some do if its an official HPDE track day but this one isn't. Your responsible for your car and any damage you incur. Torqued Racing nor Nelson is responsible for any damage to your vehicle or some else's vehicle. Nor will be mediating any such conversations. You have to remember there is risk involved with any track day. I would hope if such an event were to occur both parties could work to resolve the issue. Lastly, I want to be clear this event is a LAPPING day NOT a RACE day. We are putting events together like this to offer a safe, fun and affordable way to put their vehicles on a track/road course. My suggestion to all is that whether you have an instructor with you or not to take it easy on your first session and really get a feel for your car and the track. Again its not a race so take your time and gradually push the car as you feel comfortable. Last year we had 18 cars in group c which is 1st timers. Most had never driven on a track and/or at nelson. None of group c went off track or damaged their vehicles! Thanks, Shawn

And go to what? Some of the older mustangs (95 and older) they go with a built 302 or 351, but in the newer mustangs (96+) that have a mod motor, most people built them. Now mine is a 2v and most people build up the 4v's but its the same 4.6 block. The really just needs a bigger blower. The 1.7 is one of the smallest blowers KB make. Next year....

Forged short 4.6 short block, Stage 3 heads, stage 1 cams. ~8.6:1 CR, Kenne Bell 1.7 SC, #14 of boost, LT's, x-pipe, cat back. http://markus.smugmug.com/Track-Day-Automotive-Photos/2010-Open-Track-Days/SVT-Day-10102010/MRF1262/1042163157_mZBwp-L.jpg

I upgraded the fuel system in my 00 GT on Saturday. Brian at Dyno tune worked me in tonight for a new tune!! I ended up with a cobra tank, Fore dual pump hat, twin Ford GT pumps and a Dual FPDM setup. It was at 68% duty cycle max, which was dead on with what is advertised with this setup with respect to RWHP level. I'm very impressed with the results. Not only did he find more power he found more torqued down low as well. In addition he went for ride and data logged to ensure i was more than happy with the tune and there were no issues. Lastly it was having an issue with the cold start. With a little tweak it got on the first time. Check out the before and after graphs. Also he put together a drag race tune and a road race tune! I do want to say with the last tune the car had a LOT of issues that I fixed. Exhaust leak, vacuum leak, pprv still in place and the last tune was with 4.10's. This tune was with 3.73's i had installed. Check them out! Thanks Brian at Dyno Tune Motorsports!!!!! Can't wait to take it NTR, I'm thinking it has an 11 second pass in it. Best run with the previous tune: http://www.torquedfords.com/nmra-2010-new-best-12-347-117-3-mph/ Previous tune vrs new tune. Drag race vrs Road Race tune.

I know we are going to have a couple instructors. Let me verify how many we will have for sure. Everyone is welcome to ride with some of us who have driven the track many times. However let me get back to you on specifics.
-
Response from management at Nelson: Will go after the individual if this happens. They are really laid back and easy going. If you go off track and mess up some tires, we are not going to be charged. The point i'm trying to drive home is be reasonable and use common sense and everyone will have a good time. Last year as i mentioned in an earlier post we had a few people go off track and into the tire wall. No one was charged as it wasn't intentional, things happen.
-
Thanks for the details. I will forward it on to them and let you know. I know last year we had 2 or 3 off tracks and no one was charged for damage to tire wall or grass. There is no insurance on your vehicle. I know that for sure. If you tear it up its on you. You are required to sign a waiver at the gate (standard procedure for just about all motorsport events) releasing my company and Nelson Ledges from any and all liability. I will reply back once I have confirmed all of the details from Nelson Ledges.
-
I have asked Kerrie at Nelson to provide me further details. I am curious, is the question about if his car is damaged while lapping at the event, or what type of coverage is he looking for?
-
Insurance is taken car of through Nelson Ledges. Their general lapping day insurance covers our lapping day.
