    Walking Dead

Pretty much everyone called it. But Jon Snow is dead... ...until Melisandre resurrects him.
  2. Also, the SEC did have the hurt put on it last season. Specifically the almighty SEC West. What? 1-2 of the teams from that side won their games? At one point some people were putting 2-3 teams from that division alone in the playoffs then a few of them were absolutely slaughtered in their bowl games. 2007 was the year that opened my eyes to how much of a disadvantage the B1G is when it comes to bowl travel. Illinois played USC in Pasadena OSU played LSU in New Orleans Purdue played Central Michigan in Detroit Penn State played Texas A&M in San Antonio Michigan played Florida in Orlando There were a couple more where the B1G had to travel much further than their opponent but no more where the B1G had to face opponents in their home state.
  3. In what universe has Bama played 8 top 30 teams? You're basically trying to say that every team that wasn't ULM, MTSU or Charleston Southern were top 30 teams? Haha... alright.
  4. They do. It all starts at the top with their punk, whiny bitch of a head coach Art Briles. Also, you might enjoy this since you're so adamant about an undefeated B12 team not making it into the playoff... http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/booming-sooners-updated-college-football-playoff-predictions-week-11/ They're projecting 1-loss Oklahoma to possibly slide into the top 4 as soon as this week.
  5. Chase Farris had an abysmal game today. Really hope some of the criticism going around about just how shitty he played today lights a fire under his ass for the home stretch. Barrett had no time to throw today.
  6. Here's the best part of typing up all that bullshit... I don't think we will see. I don't actually think a B12 team is going to go undefeated. Baylor will lose this weekend and Oklahoma State will lose to Oklahoma if not sooner. I think there's a better chance that Oklahoma wins out but they'd definitely need help to get in. Would be interesting to see. I think that would be the only reason ND would get the nod over an undefeated B12 champ and it would be pretty obvious and pretty disgusting which is why I don't believe it would happen. A lot of people bitched about OSU getting in last season saying it was because Baylor or TCU weren't big enough names but all those teams had 1 loss so no one had a trump card. A 1-loss team not in a P5 conference getting in over an undefeated P5 conference champion would need a lot of explaining.
  7. I really think you're overestimating how much the committee will straight shit on teams for losing to other ranked teams. Unless the losing teams are just getting decimated they're not going to be wiped out of the rankings. That would be way too reactionary.
  8. I mentioned the B12 teams' rankings dropping as a result of the round robin in my first post about it. But let's show an example here and it's the scenario I find most likely if any B12 team is going to make it out alive... Oklahoma State is the eventual undefeated team here so here's what happens... This weekend Oklahoma beats Baylor. This drops Baylor somewhere just inside the top 15 and moves Oklahoma into the top 10. TCU and Oklahoma State beat their cupcakes and we move to the next week with Oklahoma State around the 6-7 range, Oklahoma in the top 10, TCU and Baylor somewhere between 12-15. Next weekend Oklahoma State beats top 15 Baylor. Oklahoma beats top 15 TCU. Oklahoma State lands somewhere in the 5-7 range, Oklahoma stays in the top 10, Baylor and TCU are still hovering inside the top 20. The next weekend top 6 Oklahoma State beats top 10 Oklahoma in what will be the B12 title game. Baylor and TCU play each other so maybe one drops out of the rankings (as I said was possible), maybe they both get to stick around. So with all the losses accounted for, at worst, as I said, Oklahoma State still ends up with at least 2 wins over ranked opponents as an undefeated P5 conference champion. Now that I wasted my time explaining that Oklahoma State will lose to Iowa State this weekend and TCU will lose to Kansas and then the B12 will truly be doomed.
  9. JT's arrest video... http://www.tmz.com/2015/11/12/jt-barrett-drunk-driving-arrest-video-dui/ Nothing real surprising. Cop pointed out how polite and cooperative he was and JT tried to get some preferential treatment because of who he was. The quotes being in all caps made me think it was going to be some loud, angry tirade but it's not that at all.
  10. So Navy becomes ranked and Temple remains ranked... that's 3 wins over ranked opponents (same number an undefeated Baylor or Oklahoma State would have but 2 of ND's 3 would be against barely ranked G5 teams) for ND but still a loss and no conference championship. One thing I can't deny ND having over either B12 school is the overall SOS. But if a B12 school can rise up and beat the best on their schedule (Baylor's remaining SOS is like 4th in the country, Oklahoma State's is probably somewhere in the top 20 since they already got TCU out of the way this past weekend) while winning an outright P5 conference title? Hard to keep them out.
  11. I think some people are forgetting how fluid the CFP rankings can be. OSU was 5th going into the B1G title game last season. TCU was 3rd. OSU slaughters Wisconsin in the B1G title game, TCU wins their final game by 52, OSU moves to 4th, TCU drops to 6th. ND wins out and they will have wins over 2 ranked teams granted Temple wins out. One more loss for Temple and that becomes a win over an unranked opponent. At that point Notre Dame's best resume points would be their win at the end of the season over Stanford and a LOSS to Clemson. Baylor or Oklahoma State win out and they will be undefeated champions of a P5 conference with 3 wins over ranked opponents. The round robin of the top B12 teams that is about to take place will lower the ranks of said opponents because some of them have to pick up losses but at worst an undefeated Baylor or Oklahoma State would still have just as many wins over ranked opponents as ND in addition to being an undefeated P5 conference champion.
  12. I think if Baylor or Oklahoma State made it through the Big 12 unscathed they'd find a way in. Even Oklahoma could if they got a little help. Baylor's remaining games - #12 Oklahoma, #8 Oklahoma State, #15 TCU, Texas Oklahoma State's remaining games - ISU, #6 Baylor, #12 Oklahoma Oklahoma's remaining games - #6 Baylor, #15 TCU, #8 Oklahoma State Just an incredibly back loaded schedule in that conference. Similar to Ohio State having #13 MSU, #14 Michigan and possibly #5 Iowa left to play.
  13. Yeah, I don't know what people are thinking saying Baylor will go ahead of OSU. They beat KSU by a TD. OSU did exactly the same thing. Backup QB in, just don't lose. And they did it against a much better defense*. Baylor went out there and really showed everyone what they're made of. They walked into Manhattan, Kansas against only the 2nd top 100 defense they've faced all season and came out with a really impressive 7-point win. *Minnesota's defense is 24th nationally
  14. Have a feeling Oklahoma goes into Waco and lays down the law next weekend. They dropped that bad game to Texas but have been on a warpath since. They win out and they would probably slide into the playoffs.
  15. Yeah, if any 1-loss SEC team deserved to be in the top 4 (not sure any did) it should have been Florida. Their loss was on the road to the committee's #2 team. Bama's was at home to the committee's #18 team. Pretty simple.
  16. Clemson has a very high quality win against Notre Dame. A team the committee sees as top 5. OSU's highest quality win would probably be against Penn State. LSU, also ahead of OSU, has a win over the committee's 10th ranked team, Florida. But going down the stretch, OSU could pick up wins against top 10 teams Michigan State and Iowa. Also, if Michigan keeps winning and teams ahead of them lose they could be top 10 by the time OSU plays them. No matter what, OSU wins out and they're in. Simple enough.
  17. Definitely needed that with Burrows and Smith out. Lattimore has definitely improved in Webb's absence but it was really scary watching 3rd string guys or lower out there against Rutgers late in the game and still seeing some starters in the secondary because they simply didn't have anyone else to go to.
  18. There are people on reddit who said the 1-game suspension wasn't enough who are now saying this is too much. Urban can't win...haha. He did the same thing to Stoneburner and Mewhort in 2012 after their disorderly conduct thing where they were drunk and pissed on a building. That happened in the off-season and wasn't a DUI so no game suspension but they had to do a lot over that summer to earn their scholarships back.
  19. Someone in the media needs to do a breakdown of the punishments Urban has handed out since he's been at OSU. ie. Carlos Hyde being suspended 3 games in a situation where charges were never even seriously considered. Every single article or story mentions things from Florida and nothing about what Urban's done at OSU since he's been here.
  20. My guess is someone just trying to sensationalize something even more than it already is. Also, for those calling for more than 1 game... http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2015/10/62460/one-game-is-the-right-call-in-light-of-jt-barretts-suspension-a-look-at-precedent-set-for
  21. No need to go a step beyond the minimum with a kid like JT though. I think that's the situation here. If it was someone with any kind of history of bad behavior then, yeah, you go a little further.
  22. Where were they even talked about? I know they were on the OSU sites like 11 Warriors but other than that I didn't see them talked about anywhere. There were only 6 violations related to the football program which I think is actually down a bit from previous years. Last year I think my favorite was when a recruit called one of our assistants and the assistant's I think 4-year-old son hit a button on his phone that sent one of those automated text messages which was a violation. I think in 2012 Vrabel was hit with a violation for chewing tobacco on the sideline. Lots of funny stuff.

Uhh... there's nothing to disagree with. You were just wrong. It would be like disagreeing with 2+2=4. It's very possible and I'd call it likely that Glenn does survive the alley. But we have absolutely not been shown any scene post-dumpster yet where he is alive.

    Walking Dead

The flashback stuff was only in the first episode and it wasn't a huge time lapse and it was pretty simple. Black and white = post-Rick shooting that guy in the face, pre-herding mission. Color = "present", right as the herding mission starts. There is nothing from after the herding mission yet. Anything you saw where Glenn was talking to Maggie back in Alexandria was in black and white and before they went to deal with the herd. The color stuff from the first episode and then all of episodes 2 and 3 have a lot of stuff happening at the same time. For example, the horn is sounding at the end of episode 1, it's not sounding at the beginning of episode 2, the truck crashes into the tower and the horn goes off for not very long. In episode 3 the horn is still blaring with Rick and the herding party because it's picking up where episode 1 left off. But it cuts out shortly into the episode. Later in the episode when Michonne and the others are hiding in the pet store you hear gunfire... that's the gunfire from Alexandria in episode 2 when Carol and Co. were clearing the Wolves out of Alexandria.
  25. I never want to see a player hurt but I think it's funny that Baylor finishes their pre-season games (they've played 1 team with a defense ranked inside the top 100) and lose their starter. Stidham was just shy of being a 5-star coming out of HS so he's talented but they've got their meat of their schedule coming up. Kansas State, as unimpressive as they are, will become the 2nd top 100 defense Baylor will face this season. Then it's on to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State (both top 30) and TCU (69th). But who knows, Russell could play next week. Petty broke part of his back last year at Baylor and just played through it.
