  1. Aside from the free online streams, you could try to mooch off of a friend or family member for WatchESPN and BTN2Go logins. WatchESPN app is on pretty much everything (phones, game consoles, smart TV's, Roku, Fire TV, etc., etc.) and it's usually as easy as starting up the app, having it generate a code for you, give the code to your friend/family member with a cable subscription and they put it into a website to activate the device. BTN2Go isn't on many devices so that's something you'd just have to go to on your computer and as a result of that it usually requires the person's login for their account instead of just an easy activation code.
  2. So they should be a nice, hot mess this season. Unfortunate. They have some talent on that team and Lunt is healthy but we've seen firsthand what losing a HC 3 months before a season kicks off can do to a program. 8 days before kickoff? Wow... Also, scary thought, there were a lot of people saying "Hire Time Beckman!" after Toledo gave OSU a game in 2011. I vividly remember reading posts from people after that game saying just get it over with now and pick up Beckman before it's too late. Honestly, if Urban isn't ready to come back to coaching, who would OSU have hired? I think Pelini would have been the next target and then Beckman probably would have been somewhere in there. We are so lucky that Urban was ready to coach again.
  3. So Jim Harbaugh is really weird. Like... really, really, really weird.
  4. Been all JT pretty much since the clock showed all zeroes in the national title game. But if Cardale beats him out that means he's improved a lot since last season and he will have earned it and I will support that 100%. Neutral site games need to stop. How much cooler would it be to see Bama come up to Camp Randall in early September and enjoy some Jump Around between the 3rd and 4th quarters? Then have Wiscy go into Tuscaloosa the next year and deal with all the Gumps? Answer - way cooler. I don't really like doing predictions but I guess if I had to give one right now... OSU 27 VT 17
  5. They were pretty decimated by injuries about halfway through the season. They will once again be at full capacity for OSU. I really think this game is going to come down to the OSU defense. VT has never been an offensive powerhouse outside of the ridiculous things Michael Vick did on his own 15 years or so ago. I trust that OSU will find a way to put up at least 20 points. I like the chances of the OSU defense keeping VT under 20. If they didn't pull off all the miraculous 3rd and longs last year in the Shoe OSU probably would have squeaked out of that with a W. Defense can't let that happen this year.
  6. I don't think Perry is going to end up playing any DE. Jalyn Holmes and Sam Hubbard have been playing extremely well in Bosa's place with the 1st team. Tyquan Lewis has had the spot vacated by Steve Miller locked down since spring. Schutt apparently playing at a high level (has to, not much time left) and then Adolphus is a returning starter. I'm not worried about the DL even without Bosa which is insane. WR has worried me since the suspensions were announced. Thomas is the leading returning receiver and then 2, 3 and 4 are all suspended. Now you lose a guy who saw meaningful playing time as a true freshman (mostly for his great blocking) and had been tearing it up this off-season, considered one of the top 5 playmakers on the team by Urban. I think Clark is healthy but I don't know if he's that good. Have seen his number a bit in the various videos (#82). McLaurin (#83) I've seen a lot of in the various camp videos making nice grabs. Have seen Dixon (#5, he redshirted due to tendinitis surgeries on both of his knees last season), Hill (#14) and Campbell (#21) making plays in the videos too. I don't expect anything out of Stump or Greene. Gibson and Miller are X factors. Can either of them be ready in time to contribute vs. VT? The other guys like Cambpell, Dixon, McLaurin and Clark already have some time at OSU working with the team as WR's as well as playing the position in HS. Miller and Gibson are extraordinary athletes but both have pretty limited experience at WR. I liked what I saw out of Gibson early in the camp videos before he got dinged up and there were lots of great reports but it's going to be very different against VT's stout defense. Something else that worries me more than the DL is RB. Zeke is going to get a ton of touches if the OL can open things up vs. VT's front 7 but if the WR's aren't working it's going to be a LOT of work for the RB and the guy who was poised to be Zeke's backup, true freshman Mike Weber, is out with the torn meniscus. That leaves maybe Curtis Samuel who is flipping all over the place between RB, H-back and WR this off-season and then Bri'onte Dunn who has had serious ball security issues. I'm a big worrier overall when it comes to OSU games so this is probably a lot but... there it is.
  7. I've been there. I've seen beheadings, cartel murders, failed shotgun suicides, etc., etc. There was just something creepier about this happening the way it did.

    Mr. Robot

Tonight's finale has been postponed until next Wednesday due to it containing a scene similar to today's events in Virginia.
  9. New reports coming in that he is not dead. Critical condition after suicide attempt. There are a lot of bad conditions he could live in if they're able to keep him alive so hoping for the worst one possible.
  10. I've seen some fucked up shit on the internet but this is a new level.
  11. Latest official camp video... Been noticing a lot of Terry McLaurin (#83) in these videos. Definitely need some WR's to step up with Spencer and D. Smith graduated then Wilson, Marshall and C. Smith suspended for VT. Right now you've got Michael Thomas just way above everyone else in terms of being the #1 WR. After that you've got a cluster of guys including Jalin Marshall, Corey Smith, Noah Brown and Dontre Wilson with 3 of those 4 being suspended. The next group is just a bunch of unknowns with Terry McLaurin, Johnnie Dixon, KJ Hill, Torrance Gibson, James Clark and Parris Cambpell. Then you've got Braxton Miller and Curtis Samuel who I see more as running threats than receiving threats right now. Wilson and Marshall have shown more receiving ability than Samuel and Miller obviously has never shown anything but running and passing on the field. Also, tonight's BTN Live will have stuff from when DiNardo and Revsine were in Columbus for practice yesterday.
  12. That song plus a complete focus on actual returning players = great video. So many 2015 hype videos have highlights from guys who graduated and it's like... when you have guys like the ones in the video I just posted returning why on earth are you doing that?

    Mr. Robot

Yeah, I don't want to spoil anything in here now since it seems most haven't heard about it and it's a great show so I want to give them a chance to see it all for themselves now. The song they used at the end of episode 9 though... absolutely perfect for... reasons.
  14. What Urban's goal is and what reality is are two different things. Braxton's still got about 2 weeks to get ready for that game so we'll see but one of the biggest things people have been talking about with his move is the conditioning it requires so we'll see. And from what I've read about the Bosa thing, he was in the vicinity of a fight at Midway on High but wasn't involved.
  15. Like a fleet of helicopters or what? I didn't follow the team back then but I can't find anything about this on the interwebs either. Also, as pointed out on the CFB subreddit, today is the last Saturday of 2015 without D1 college football. We get NDSU @ Montana next Saturday. Have a Bison alum friend so I've watched several of their games over the last few years and I will be watching that one as well. Neat little setting for the season kickoff... http://i.imgur.com/pveXeLp.jpg

You definitely have to give the show your undivided attention. I do that for pretty much any show I really want to get into but I have some friends who have tried Mr. Robot the way they usually do stuff (doing stuff on their phones or whatever as they watch) who have ended up pretty lost. The creator sets some situations up where you're supposed to feel a little lost though and then by the end of an episode everything comes together. How many episodes in are you?
  17. I think Barton said that the picture you posted from Instagram was close but the numbers are going to be scarlet with gray outlines and then numbers on the shoulders. I really hope they don't do matte helmets. They're so overdone at this point and a lot of the black ones I've seen over the years have looked cheap.

    Mr. Robot

Didn't see a thread on this and I know from time to time there are threads for TV shows here. Anyone else watching this? It's on USA but they're letting the showrunner (Sam Esmail) do pretty much whatever he wants and the results have been incredible. There is a good bit of computer jargon but the show has devices in place to help the not so computer literate get by and focus on the story itself. The writing, the acting, the music (both the original score and song selection)... all top notch.
  19. Just give Mr. Robot a little more time. He's working on it.
  20. What was it? Also... someone on Reddit put together a list of the most high profile match-ups in a single series all time. Much to the dismay of any insane person who thought the Iron Bowl mattered outside the state of Alabama, The Game was tops in basically every category with the Iron Bowl not even making an appearance in the top 10.
  21. I mean, I know you're an uninformed troll but just going with it, I was specifically talking about games right before the biggest rivalry game. Alabama plays an FCS school before the Iron Bowl. Auburn plays Idaho which may as well be an FCS school before the Iron Bowl. That's how the SEC operates. Do you know who OSU plays before their biggest rivalry game, The Game vs. Michigan? I know you have no clue whatsoever so I'll answer it for you... Michigan State.
  22. All the premier programs in the SEC have either a bye week or an FCS opponent before their biggest rivalry game. It's hilarious.
  23. I don't think anyone went after Urban for Jones' transfer. He basically said "Fuck you" to the staff on his way out over Twitter. He was a lazy piece of shit at Ohio State and it looks like that carried over to Kentucky. Warinner was so frustrated with him because he had some great physical tools but just didn't want to put in the work. Most recent practice highlight video thingy from OSU... Gibson looks pretty natural out there at WR and Brown making some really tough catches is nice to see. He had a great spring and OSU's going to need him in Blacksburg with Marshall, Wilson and Smith out. Also, E:60 The Rise of Ezekiel Elliott airs tonight on ESPN at 8PM. And tomorrow night at 7PM Scarlet and Gray Days (BTN's inside look at OSU's camp) airs. I know it's at least 2 parts (8/19 and 8/26) but could be 3 with another episode on 9/2 since the season doesn't start until 9/7. Oh, and the narrator for Scarlet and Gray Days is Oscar winner JK Simmons. Huge OSU fan.
  24. Haha... I'm one of those silly people who actually uses the same name on reddit as I do pretty much everywhere else. Nevadabuck on Rivals (recently moved there from Scout after he found out Scout wouldn't be renewing his contract since his info has pretty much dried up since Meyer got here) has been saying that Gibson is looking amazing at WR. No idea how much credibility there is to that but there are some videos of him playing WR out there where he looks pretty good. Here is a small highlight video from him playing WR at a 7 on 7 tourney last year... Also, been reading a lot of good stuff about the young OL. Branden Bowen, Kevin Feder and Grant Schmidt are just massive human beings with great work ethics. Marotti and Warinner love them. OT Isaiah Prince was actually the first of any of the freshmen to have his black stripe removed (signifies the moment when a player has proven himself enough for the staff to consider him a true member of the Buckeye football team). The 2nd freshman to lose his stripe was RB Mike Weber. Some may remember Weber was the kid who felt somewhat betrayed when RB coach Stan Drayton took a job with the Bears just a day or two after Weber signed with Ohio State. It's good to hear he's putting in the kind of effort he must be to have lost his stripe so early. I remember thinking we could have used a back like him to spell Zeke vs. Oregon and later it came out that Urban used a pitch saying basically exactly that to him during his recruitment. He said if he was on the team he would have gotten carries vs. Oregon. With Samuel being a bit of a hybrid WR/RB (especially early with Marshall and Wilson suspended), Dunn reportedly still being something of a fumble machine and Ball not doing much of anything I think Weber is going to see a good bit of carries this year.
