Now on Blu-ray, DVD, Netflicks and all that. No Oscar nominations, but some fine acting. Not really a feel-good movie, and only loosely based on a real story, still it's a movie I will be watching a number of times. Here's the clip link again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y17Me8uL6mA

You're just being mean. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it's in the Ohio Eighth Grade Physical Science standards.

It's a gift ...... but also a curse.

Classic floor mat failure. Consult your local Toyota dealer. Or, have NASA investigate.

Once again, Newton, you've got it backwards. It is centrifugal force that pushes the car to the tunnel walls. Centripetal force pulls the car towards the midpoint of the curvature.

You go into the store and ask either for a prepaid gift card (option #1) or a prepaid gas card (option #2 below). 1) If you get the prepaid gas card, you get points when you buy the gas and also some discount (like 3 or 4 cents per gallon) on whatever gas you buy with the card. 2) What I do is I buy a GIFT card. You are given full points for the purchase at the time you buy the card. As you use the card on your gas, you are given points a second time. The last time I did the math, the points were worth about the same as the per gallon discount that you would have had if you had done option #1 instead. Sometimes they even do bonus specials on buying the cards. One time last year it worked out to triple the normal points for my gas. I think I bought either $500 or $800 dollars worth. The Speedway in Waverly (I used to drive through there a lot) also had 4 cents off per gallon every Tuesday just for using the rewards card. I cashed out over 200,000 rewards points last December and put prepaid gas cards in with some of the Christmas gifts I gave. It seemed a little less tacky than putting cash in with the cards/gifts. Of course, I pay for the gift card originally using my Toyota Rewards Visa, which then earns credit on services at the Toyota dealership.

That was a good score. I'll be interested how you like the watch and whether you're satisfied with the leather band.

Speedway & Kroger's customer cards AAA member Toyota Rewards for my charge card I earned about $300 in gas cards last year with my Speedway card. I pre-pay my gas by loading up a gift card, which then earns double the points. Kroger's card always saves me 5-10 bucks each trip. Toyota Rewards has earned so much that it has paid for all the oil changes and other routine maintenance on my 3 Toyota vehicles, and the reward balance continues to outdistance those expenses. AAA member is good for motel and attraction discounts.

Condolensces on your loss, Kevin. And congratulations on the new addition. Cycle of life. People will understand the challenges of running a small business.

Didn't everyone? Winter was pronounced dead over two weeks ago:
-
It sounds as though that's a fairly short drive for you if two little words take you there. Just sayin'

I feel your pain. 53 cylinders here in vehicles titled to me. Anyone up to solving the puzzle of what went into that sum?

Interesting taste in cars. Any in-process photos of what you're tinkering with currently? I think there's a Farkas or two here you might enjoy meeting. Welcome. +rep

That's more than fair, IMHO. I guess I don't see this thread as having the potential of an 8 page flame war, but you're the boss--you have the option (and maybe even the responsibility?) of deleting anything in this thread which you feel is off topic or unproductive. Maybe I stepped over the line to be supportive. I don't presume to speak for CR. Feel free to delete my posts, no hard feelings here. I don't know who this noob is. He said he just moved here last year, which might explain why he doesn't know anyone in the scene. I thought he started out okay, asking to join, no chip on his shoulder, maybe a bit overprotective about his info. But then again, in our instruction thread, we caution about posting any personal pics that could later come back to haunt. And remember, he was being asked for pics of his girlfriend. I think that some of the guys who get turned off by the CR attitude would be people that, if we met them initially in person, we'd be happy to have as members.
-
That's another thing that's great about CR. You can always count on the Admins to be supportive. I guess I chose the losing side, once again.
-
You said that about my Lotus, too ..... then you drove it, and it wasn't good enough, remember?

Jesse, there are many members here who have similar car interests as you do. Some here mod the old school Japanese cars, some slam them, some performance mod and race them and some keep them bone stock. I think you'd find there's a wealth of information in the members here. Some were born in Japan or lived there at some point. It seems to me that Columbus Racing has a lot of integrity in its rules and the way they're administered. Unless you already know members here who will vouch for you, it's a difficult group to join unless you either show us your past or present cars or tell us what your interest in joining is. Pay no attention to people wanting your girlfriend's picture. That's comic relief from the trolls. No one wants to stalk you. But it isn't unreasonable for people on a car site to want to see your car (with license plate blurred, if you want) or at least know the kind of car it is and what you've done to it. Anyone seeing your car driving down the street or parked at a car show or meet is going to have more information than you've shared so far. You seem to have a respectful attitude and can take the kidding in stride, so I hope you choose to stick with your intro thread and join. Post some info and pics and I'll + rep you. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/8a_bw.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/7_s2.jpg

Just two more to go, Jeffro, then you'll be seeing the aurora borealis just fine. -
I'll be there.

I've never been to Logan's, but I see the one where Paul works is right off I-70. Let me throw-out another suggestion: Red Robin next to Sonic in Polaris. I understand the old parking lot back there started to heat up Wednesday night before our friends in blue dispersed the crowd.

I'm thinking that tonight will be ricer central later. Perhaps I should head out and "set a good example" for you younger generations ..... serve as a chaperone in case any of Team Output appears.

Here's the thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88295 Yes, Wheel Medic has done the wheel work on all my cars. I've not found anyone who can match them on quality. I suggest speaking directly with Bryce, the owner, and identifying yourself as a CR member. You are going to get the best possible price. I'm not comfortable quoting prices on the work I've had done; every job is a bit different, and sponsors need to have the leeway to estimate each job independently. I make no secret of the list of shops I think give great service for great prices: Wheel Medic, Clifford Automotive, Capital Towing, NTB downtown, Boyd's Goodyear in Hilliard and in Westerville, MD Transmission, Pickups Plus Cars, Esoteric Auto Detail, Slowmotion, DynoTune (Dyno Brian). All of them are owned by CR members or have CR members working there. I'm sure other people have their favorites as well, but these are the merchants who have earned my trust and continuing business.

Even if it were clear and you could turn off every light in central Ohio, you wouldn't see the aurora tonight. It's full moon. That's one thing the forecasters get consistently right.
