  1. Welcome, Ben. It was good talking with you Saturday. I hope you get the chance to attend many CR events this season. + rep
  2. anyone who shows up gets ice cream, even you
  3. texted you, Flatty. Come over to the garage and help me get these rally decals on the Benz ...... then Daddy Doc will take you and the fellas out for ice cream
  4. No floor speakers here, but I've got a kickass receiver. This one was passed down to me in college from Tom Edison, a frat brother of mine who built it himself. He told me that good tuneage in the dorm room would be a babe magnet. Also, in winter it's also a pretty good heat source. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/singleendedtriodeamp.jpg What type of gramophone are you hooking it up to? I have both the copper-wound and the Victrola interconnects.
  5. Looks like the Century won the lottery. See youse guys in an hour.
  6. It was a good time -- Thanks, Mike.
  7. I'm not so sure you're just looking at soda stains, there, Anson. Where the drinks splashed you may have the drink stain and then have some mold/mildew stains as well. The professional detailers here will prolly have some good advice for you. For what it's worth, my approach would be to try spot and stain remover specific to the type of fabric you're working on, then friction shampoo the area, then use an extractor to get out the dirt/shampoo residue. It's going to take a lot of time and effort, and I wouldn't try to short-cut the drying time either. Whatever you decide to do, if when you're done there's still a lot of odor, I've got an industrial-strength ozone generator you can use at my garage.
  8. We need some help from the mods here -- It appears that someone has obtained Paul's password. The Paul we know and love could not have possibly taken a guess at the spelling of the word hieroglyphics and gotten it correct. Someone better text Paul and tell him.
  9. Yeppers, MCIR, near LaRue
  10. BTW, thanks for getting the 999 oil filter so quickly. Did Josh tell you that I chained him to the floor of my garage next to the bike and wouldn't let him go until he changed the oil for me? One never thinks to use one's camera phone until the moment passes ......
  11. My old profession requires that I point this parapraxis ("Freudian slip") out to you, Eman. What was wrong that caused you to leak out all over the Sawmill parking lot? You're welcome to cruise up to MCIR with me tonight .... that's where the action will be. $10 to get in, even just to spectate. I plan to leave Delaware around 7. Some CR folks mostly planning to arrive 8 - 8:30 at the track.
  12. Me2, at least in the first couple of passes
  13. Nope, not meant as a joke, Ben, although it might turn out to be one. I've attended a couple of events this group has staged. There are usually 10-20 people. The founder of the group is a high school student from Johnstown. His name is also Ben, and he's very enthusiastic and hard-working, but I'm not sure his expectations are very realistic (he can be forgiven that at age 16, I think). I'd like to see him get the group off the ground, but as Anthony suggested in this thread, if he gets something big going at QSL, they'll likely pull the plug on it. Then, he'll learn a valuable lesson about how the world works, although I know he'll be really disheartened. He got permission to display club cars at the Ohio State Fair and has lined up sponsors for some good awards and prizes. The kid's got moxie. I've brought cars to his events to try to help promote them. I'm not sure I'll make it to QSL soon, but it might be worth cruising through on a warm night just to see what's up. 14. You've used up two of those misspellings in this thread alone.
  15. I keep it in the car case, so just remind me next time you see me.
  16. Photoshop the naked guy out of some of these and then repost, Sam.
  17. After your outrage over the HS dropout rate abates, you might want to check the spelling of the word appalling. I believe they slipped another "l" in there since you finished HS English class.
  18. Gran turismo for 2? Jag Gran turismo for 4? Mazzy GT to me means long-distance, high speed, comfort>performance travel. IMO, the Porsche & M3 are just too harsh for transcontinental wanderlust.
  19. Thank you, Scott. BW3's in Reynoldsburg at 9. I'll stop by. And afterwards, quien sabe?
  20. :gtfo: I'm headed over to my garage for awhile .... will check back on this thread around 7:30 or 8 to see if anyone has decided anything yet.
  21. If you're a parent or guardian, you may bring your children, up to 6 of them, as long as you're at least 18 yourself. I wasn't quoting the ENTIRE D&B policy, just the part that was being asked about.
  22. I'm fine with anything. Just wanna get out, but I'm not into an entire evening of standing in the cold wind---- maybe for an hour or so, but not the whole evening!
