  1. Sounds like a plan to me. I'll probably see you in QS&L around 8:15 or so (not too hungry), then we'll head over to Rave for the 9 p.m. show (by then I'll need the $22.50 popcorn barrel and the half-gallon big gulp of Coke). Happy Birthday, btw, Thorne.
  2. How's the Deal's Gap "test & tune" of these mods going?
  3. It looks like the rain's cleared out until at least Sunday. Cooler and windy tonight, so I doubt there'll be alot of standing around next to cars. I'll be at QS&L tonight, prolly hit the movie afterwards if a bunch of us want to go. I think the key is not to have very high expectations of the movie, but just go to have fun, laugh @ the ricers (on and off screen), pass out business cards, that sorta stuff.
  4. Welcome, Rob. We need a good shank fabricator here. Some of the disputes heat up a bit.

Thanks, Ben. I will watch for registration to open.
  6. Those chocolate ones are for babies ... The REAL Easter bunny is fun to hang out with. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/bringingtheeasterbunnyonadate.jpg

any info on the drivers' school, AJ? I looked around the site but couldn't find a description or a cost. I don't think I'd catch-on quite as quickly as Ashley or Chad did.
  8. The old pistons didn't have holes either, until you ran against the Benz ....
  9. Anyone here wanna help me out? I can't figure it out -- the damn Buick will never start after it rains. Runs fine when it's dry. Pisses me off. I thought about giving up on the ol' Buick and getting a BMW, but then someone told me what the difference was between a porcupine and a BMW: With a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside. Now, where's my walker?
  10. Nametags? That's just one notch less greivous than business cards. How about this: Newb: (extending right hand) "Hi, my name's Skippy--I'm new here. I'm on CR as 1FastCobalt. Kick ass car you've got there, dude." Mr. Hal: (ignoring the newb's outstretched hand) "I'm Hal. MISTER Hal to you. Your car looks even worse in person than it did in the pictures in your lame-ass intro thread. It astonishes me that you'd think we wanted you here. Pretty ballsy, showing up here, though. We like that. Now get away from me." Introductions just seem more ..... refined, than using name tags.
  11. not a big deal. it's fast food .... not like we gotta be seated by waitstaff or anything. I'll just be lurking around the lot :lurk:
  12. It's at 2134 Polaris Parkway. Just take I-71 to Polaris, turn right (east), and it's in the second block on the left side (north side) in a little strip of stores. I'll be there about 8:15. Since we didn't have time to print CR business cards, I'll loan you a few of my Zombie Squad cards: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/zs.jpg
  13. Yeah, food, then maybe practice our Team Output cheer. Five Guys for burgers?
  14. Well, um, it was a song my parents used to listen to a lot ... way before my time.
  15. It looks like a dry 24 hours in central Ohio ..... mebbe the last dry for a few days. Anything popping tonight? If so, I need to get busy printing up business cards for us
  16. Welcome, Norm. It seems as though there are a lot of Delaware guys joining CR recently, and a number of Subies. I'll be having an open house out on London Road within the next month, and I hope you can join us and meet a number of CR folks. There will be a posting on the Meetings & Events thread a few days before the open house, which will be on a Saturday 3-8 p.m. Sharp car. I'll be sure to spot you around town with those Lone Star plates. +rep

Mebbe. But they didn't seem like the types who had learned to have any respect for their elders. But as the Duke said: "Since you haven't learned to respect your elders, maybe it's time you learn to respect your betters. It may also be that since Brittany was riding with me, they were afraid that if they made me cry that she would have kicked their sorry asses.

You guys musta scared all the "race" out of 'em, because when I rolled through their side of the lot to look at their cars, they were all docile and polite.
  19. Yeah, I was surprised at what a change a chip made to a couple of my cars, too.
  20. I think it's a great idea and you're going about it the most logical way. This will be a lot of fun. I think a lot of us will become "regulars."
  21. I have at least one upcoming Saturday covered with the open house at my new garage. It will be 3-8 p.m., just haven't finalized the date (watching for a good long-term forecast). Most likely days will be Saturday, April 4th or Saturday April 18th. March 28th is cars and coffee in the a.m., April 11th is Dyno Day, and of course April 28th we're at National Trail. I will open a thread the Thursday prior to the event giving directions and more details. There's been a lot of interest so far, and I think we're going to see some very rare cars and some very fast cars. Free hamburgers and hot dogs, possibly a mobile dyno in the parking lot, lots of room for cars and fun. I'm still working on the landlord for permission for burnouts. I will try to keep everyone updated.
  22. Um. No. Looks more like the "before" pictures from the detailer threads.
  23. Whatever shop lands you will be getting a top mechanic. I'd wish you good luck, but I don't think you'll be needing luck -- you got plenty of skill.
