  1. Best subs I've ever had. Here's the info: http://www.lennys.com/ 8215 N. High Street, just north of I-270, past Flint Road but right before Lazelle Road. On left (west) side of road in a little strip mall. I'm headed up there tonight. It's a nice clean place with good parking within sight of the tables. Closes at 7 p.m. Sunday night. Maybe a quick cruise around Alum Creek afterwards?
  2. Yes, I know, it's without prior approval and proper warning. So much of life is like that. No, results are not guaranteed. No liability is assumed. Void where prohibited. All my toys are dirty, so I gotta get out the buckets & rags. Bring your toys if you wanna clean them and smoke cigars, listen to 70's music, spray your friends with water. No, I will not wash your car for you. I'm old, fat, and crippled. Give me a break. 320 London Road, Delaware. Within sight of the corner of London Road and Liberty Road. In the Howald Industrial Park. Suite #104. Follow the signs for MD Transmission, and I'm across the lot from them. I won't be rechecking this thread, but call with questions: 740-405-5565. Leave VM if no answer and I'll call you back (I might not hear phone) Carpe diem
  3. Wherever there is insanity, it is there that I must go. (I'll be stopping for a fill-up at QS&L first, though).
  4. QFT ...... so well said. +rep
  5. 3000 square feet, part of an Industrial Park. The units in front of mine are offices, and the unit behind mine is a restoration shop for yachts. There are two transmission shops, two auto detailers, a general mechanic, a machine shop, a half dozen trucking companies, and various small manufacturing companies in the park. I understand one large unit is filled with DeLoreans One of my neighbors builds the robots used in Disneyland-type animation rides. The damn things are so realistic it's spooky at night. The owner of the park will very likely be at the event with his rare Harley, so if anyone is interested in renting, he can answer questions. He rents spaces between 800 SF up to 30,000 SF.
  6. I couldn't agree more. Brady, Kyle, Scott, and the whole Pickups Plus Cars staff have always been great with advice and assistance on my vehicles. They bring a lot to the CR table and are top-notch guys.
  7. I told them I wanted no fewer than six. They could only fit four under the hood, so they installed the other two in the trunk ...... kinda makes it a sleeper, ya know ...
  8. Mods just completed this morning, no tune update. Best pass: 11.96 secs @ 121.30 60' 1.975 Now, to get it tuned and begin doing burnouts
  9. Thanks, Anthony. Also, thanks to those who worked the water box. ND2Race, thanks for your tech help with my car. Fun times have returned!
  10. Not a shop ......jeez, Louise, that would be a scary thought -- me, working on other people's cars It's a storage unit and clean-up area for me. Somewhere to get away, crank up my old timer music, smoke a cigar, and clean-up my ride. It's far from being a "dream garage," but I guess it's as close to one as I'll ever have. Just having the garage heated is a big step-up for me. I hope you can make it out to the open house.
  11. Well, I guess that's easier than actually washing the bike .... Welcome, Adam.
  12. Welcome, Jon. Glad to see you decided to take the plunge. I've enjoyed talking to you at QSL and Kroger's. You're one of the few younger guys who has seemed to be sincere in wanting to know more about cars and the track racing scene. I hope you make it out of the Oven and get onto CR. It's a great bunch. + rep
  13. I've known Josh for around 8 years ..... he's a real stand-up guy. He's my go-to man for all things motorcycle and has always gotten me hooked up for my bikes. He's being pretty modest here, so let me fill you in: he put together the talent for a world record drag time on a bike last year. He knows everyone in the motorcycle racing world and he's held in high regard. Besides that, he's a pretty good rider himself and will get on your bike and ride it better than you do and show you a few stunts that you didn't think it could do. Although he's had a few hot cars in the past, I'm glad to see him starting to come out to more meets and becoming interested in CR. He's a good guy to know. + rep from me, my friend
  14. So what? There are a few coffee cup rings on your VW hood now. Pretend it's an Audi logo and consider it an upbadging.
  15. The 3-tool Lotus repair kit comes to the rescue. Considering what LOTUS stands for, they should all come standard with the 1198 piece Craftsman mechanic's set. Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious
  16. Lotus is going to Cars & Coffee tomorrow at Lennox. I can take ya for a ride then. Tonight it's the Benz .... buddy of mine is bringing out his E55 AMG to cruise around.
  17. :grin2: Anybody else hear a little puppy yapping?
  18. and after you're done playin' with your Team Output boyfriends come over about 10 to QSL and see if you can run with the big dawgs .... there'll be a brace of silver Benz's there tonight that don't get scared off when some STi pilot says "from a dig" :zoom:
  19. Well, you ain't exactly aboard yet .... more like hanging off the side in a tempestuous sea .... but we'll throw ya a line when you post some pics :nopics:
  20. Bump .... tomorrow morning Since this will be the inaugural meet, will any of the photography buffs on here agree to get some photos of the group for the CR scrapbook? Firehead, Wagner, ScoOterzsl ?
  21. You're working with some good guys there at MD. I'm sure they're good teachers. They've always helped when I needed it. If they give you a break from wrenching, meander across the lot sometime and take a tour of the place. Not a lift and hardly a tool in sight, but still a fun place for someone who likes cars.
  22. Yep, they can do AWD. There will be a small surcharge for it ..... I imagine 10 or 20 bucks, but I haven't heard from the dyno guys exactly how much. Two pulls in a rear wheel drive car will be free. Dyno will probably be there and available 3-6 p.m. They hope to do about 3 cars/hour (nothing fancy), but you'll get a printout. They still have to survey the lot to make sure there is a very level spot for their set-up. It may have to be closer to the garage than I wanted, but people wanting to escape the noise can go into the building. They are being super to do this for us. I'll mention the business name when it's confirmed ..... I don't want any cancellation to reflect badly on them (it would be my fault if there's a cancellation).
  23. Well ..... you can bring your car over right now, pretend to put it on the dyno, rev it up ..... and I'll guess how much torque and horsepower it made .....
  24. Hold the tears ..... it's unlikely to be the weekend of the 2nd because the sponsor bringing the dyno is not available that weekend and another enthusiastic sponsor has his guard duty that weekend. The first available day is looking to be May 9th, weather permitting. Check the Meetings & Events thread around the 6th or 7th to confirm, though. And ...... pray for good weather
  25. Yeah, I hope to have the LS1 swap done by then.
