  1. Yeah, I know. I debated about putting it in the Meetings & Events category, but thought that since it was motorcycle-specific, Daily Ride would be the better section. It's not like it's a planned event. I'm sure a mod will move it if he feels it's incorrectly posted.
  2. Hmmm. You could leave work if you had a doctor's excuse ......
  3. It promises to be a sunny day with temps around 70. I'm thinking of riding the triple niner north from the Zoo along the Scioto River on SR 257 up to about Prospect, then riding back down on SR 203, cutting east just to the south of Delaware, crossing over across Alum Creek, then ending up at Polaris Sonic for a chili dog. Anyone else up for a "leisurely" ride along lightly-patrolled roads? I'll be at the old entrance to the Zoo, parked right along Riverside Drive in front of the old Wyandot Inn (near the big red "Columbus Zoo" sign on Riverside Drive). Post here or send me a PM. I'm thinking 2 p.m. would be a good departure time, which should put us back at Polaris around 4 or 5.
  4. First pass of the day 12.148 @ 117.05, and it went south from there. Back to the drawing board ...
  5. Not a loss, my friend .... just an expensive victory. I thought I was going to be in the 10's and couldn't break 12 ...... and you went like gangbusters! Also, thanks for your help with the airdam on the Merc. I would have been out for the day had you not been able to fix me up.
  6. Perfect weather forecast ..... I'm IN.
  7. Yep, the ZR1 was there, and it made it into a pretty expensive day for a certain member here ..... http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/autocross/40efee442db9-1.jpg "No, AJ, you don't have to get me this particular one, just one exactly like it."
  8. Well, Sonic Polaris was hopping pretty early (10-11:30) but then there was a fight. :nutkick: Security ran everyone off after that. I stopped there on my way home and it was empty...... and I had brought a new bag of M&M's and everything
  9. Nope, still waiting on the LSD. The transport company has it and has promised delivery by 11 a.m. Saturday. Should take a couple of hours to install. If it's dry Saturday night, I'll bring it out.
  10. I'd be up for earlier, but rain started passing through Delaware about 8:30. Soooo, if I'm out tonight at all it'll be later if it dries out.
  11. Will do. I'll make it a surprise
  12. Jaron lists a Ducati 1098. I've got its predecessor, the 999.
  13. I'll bring the triple niner if you bring the 1098.
  14. Ummm, well, I do have a LeSabre, but it's not just any LeSabre, it's the LeSabre Custom
  15. Hey now, I resemble that remark.
  16. Yep, my new nick is courtesy of HRM Grannie, Queen of White Castle.http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/images.jpg "Park your damned ricer car away from our rods."
  17. Well, about a dozen of us from CR cruised through the scene last night around midnight, and Toto, I get the feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore. Some very unusual mods, and the characters seemed like extras from the Star Wars cantina scene. As we drove through I was greeted by an elderly woman who yelled "Bitch boy" at me, which I must admit I found quite arousing. Although I was tempted to challenge the guys sitting on the bumper of the '52 Lincoln Premier to a roll race, the thought occurred to me that maybe having some of the CR Gun Crew as wingmen would be a good idea before starting down that path.... BTW, are the urchins sent scurrying back to the double wides once gunplay begins for the evening? Children's Services might want to consider establishing an evening hours field office there. But, really, thanks for the invitation, we all had a swell time.
  18. It was a good time, some really nasty burnouts, fun crowd. The Corvette off-road photoshoot and the Lotus sign-and-drive event were especially popular. Thanks to the NTB crew and to Steve for organizing the meet.
  19. Looks like a beaut of a day for a car meet. I'll be bringing the Lotus down from Delaware around noon. In for eating franks, listening to the game, and watching burnouts :burn:

    9/19 meet?

I'm leaving Delaware around 9:30, passing through Polaris Sonic, :gone: picking up my State Patrol escort, then should be at Ham Rd. around 10:15.
  21. Register me for the hot body contest :woowoo: ..... oh, and I'll bring a car, too.
  22. That's right at the Delaware/Marion County line, and it's SR 229. Parts of it are currently closed because of trees down, but it might be open to the public shooting range, which is only about 2-3 miles from Route 23.
  23. Very nice work ..... and I do mean work. I did a wash, interior clean, engine clean, clay bar, and seal of one of my cars yesterday and it nearly killed me. Did you need to clay bar the Toyota or go right to polishing? What type of polish products did you use, and did you use different grades of polish? Your results are stellar.
