  1. Really inspiring. Some of the best photos I've seen.
  2. There's one in my garage, yeah, but it isn't mine. Addison upgraded to it and says it's miles ahead of the last generation. He actually has the LHR 21 with the 15 backing plate. The Griot's is all I need. Since I've switched to 22PLE, I haven't had the need to do any sealing or aggressive paint correction. I like the ergonomics of the Griot's.
  3. Rupes Big Foot Mk II LHR 15 is relatively new. I'd be surprised if you found anything better for what you're looking to do.
  4. Well, I know of at least one über-kewl car on display there, and it ain't Wiggy's.
  5. Figaro in plain sight. Normal cruise in begins at 7:30
  6. It's a beautiful Friday the 13th here on the patio now. Stop by early if you can't do late.
  7. The Dalai Lama is the easiest dude to tip. You give him what he's always wanted: nothing. I'm so proud of you for using spell check for the Dalai Lama. You're truly a changed man, Paul.
  8. I got ya covered, Triston. Exams over yet?
  9. If it still smells after you've tried everything else, PM me and I'll have you bring the car to the Hangout. I'll deodorize it for you for free.
  10. It's been a long time coming. Congrats
  11. Not sure who you are. Mebbe you should have to make a new intro thread. Two cars don't make a fleet, pizza boy.
  12. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/wholeleftside.jpg I posted this here last year but had very little interest. Craig's List last year and this year has produced only low-ballers. More pics are on the CL ad: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/5499268933.html This is the last of my personal motorcyles. Now that I'm using my Slingshot, I don't think I'll be motorcycling anymore. This started life as a 1982 Suzuki GS450TZ. I purchased the bike in the fall of 2010 from a CR member who was using it in a daily commute. At that time the mileage on the bike was not known, but the odometer showed 14,495. I gave it to an old friend who was a professional cycle mechanic who rebuilt it over a period of 18 months. Here is a partial list of the parts replaced: Both tires Sprockets, drive chain Front fork seals Front disc brake pads Rear shocks Front wheel bearings Handlebar/grips/bar-end mirrors Headlight/brackets/turn signals He made an intake, installed custom exhaust and header, cleaned and synched the carbs, performed complete tune-up. A new custom seat, rear tail section with taillight, and viper fairing were installed. He made new side covers from diamond plate flooring Wheels were refurbished by Wheel Medic. Kevin Clifford painted the side covers, tail section, and gas tank. The bike starts, runs, and drives without issue. Here is the thread I made when the bike was finished (some "before" pics are in the middle of the thread): http://www.columbusracing.com/forums...highlight=cafe Since I've had the bike back, it has lived at the Hangout and has seen little use, as I had other bikes. In four years it's seen 2k miles and has been stored under cover. Essentially it gets started and ridden every 2-3 months to keep everything "fresh," gas stabilizer in the tank, battery on a tender. Last spring I installed a new battery. Each spring it's had an oil change, new filter, and safety inspection. I haven't done that service this year yet. Odometer now shows 16,330, but is non-actual according to the title. A potential buyer last week pointed out two screws missing from the windshield fairing, which I haven't had time to replace yet. I'm asking $2,200 on CR ($500 discount from CL). For that you get the bike (clear title in hand), the original parts removed during rebuild (turn signals, handlebars, side covers, full chrome exhaust) and an Aerostich cover (medium size, larger than the bike needs). I have a little less than $5,000 in the bike. Payment needs to be cash, or I will work with your lender. I will hold the bike for up to 30 days for you for a $500 non-refundable deposit. No trades. PM me with any questions. Thanks!
  13. I second what Nick said. Mark owns Dent Mender, and he has moved to Richland County. However, he comes into the Delaware and Franklin County areas pretty often. He does great work and is very reasonable.
  14. In case you weren't keeping track, IFO is this Sunday at NTR. You can still buy tickets in advance online for discounts on admission, racing, and the car show. All info is here: http://tickets.thefoat.com/ImportFaceOff/Info+%26+Tickets+Hebron+IFO+2016/tickets/event-33787/
  15. My last three or four a/c issues have all been fixed by Sean at Northend Wrench. I'm sure a number of other vendors and wrenches on here could do a good job, too.
  16. Well, there's another side to that ..... http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/eliseposter2.jpg A great track car? Yep, no doubt. But she ain't Amy.
  17. Well, you asked for advice. Most people are telling you that you're right to cut your losses and run, give up on this doomed project, find something else that will come close.... You've made a lot of threads on this build. You loved it from afar before the car could even be purchased. You defended it for page after page against all its haters. You lead us in painstaking detail through your decisions to use X instead of Y, wheels/tires/power adders. You built your dream. I remember telling you how much I admired your choices for this car. But the car has had multiple, debilitating failures. If I read you right, you're saying the problem won out and you're quitting because of that. I would claim it's the other way around: the problem only wins because you quit. If you're okay with the idea of walking away from this project (and it seems that you are and that many others agree), then you probably should. Maybe not reach so far next time .... try something safer. Think of it as cursed, or as screwed up by Toyota from the onset .... anything to distance yourself from it. But if you're not comfortable with the idea that you put so much of your thought, time, energy and money into a car that you can't keep running, well, I would just consider carefully your next step. "I built the most awesome car, but it didn't run." You'll spend the next few years, maybe longer, "chasing Amy,"
  18. My post in 2013: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1744815&postcount=45
  19. Looking that sharp, and at that price, I wouldn't care if it had 200k miles on it. Very high miles on an eight year old car looking that good would just tell me that they were mostly highway miles. And I would prefer that over a 50k mile car that was short trips/city miles. Nice score, JP.
  20. No interest in Chipotle, free or not, but props to you for correctly spelling voila. The permutations of the spelling of that word on CR are mind-boggling. Among my favorites are wahlah and viola.
  21. No need to mod mine. Even when I'm driving mine reasonably, it feels to me like I'm the one in that video. Low to the ground and with the open cockpit, the excitement multiplies. Besides, mine's under full warranty for another year, unlimited miles. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af208/trentrbrts/IMG_1889_zpsiws40khe.jpg
  22. Made by Nissan, but it does not say Nissan anywhere but on the motor. Based on the K10 Micra, whereas the Mitsuoka Viewt is based on K11 and newer. It's registered for the Rally North America summer event, which means it's going to be driven across the U.S. It needs a few cosmetics freshened-up. It's 25 years old with over 60k miles.
