  1. Radiators are leaky, front suspension parts need replaced at that mileage, front fenders rust. Motors are reliable though. I'm considering selling mine, black/tan 6cyl with a manual. Bunch of recent maintenance (see above) with 106k miles.
  2. in the same boat, haven't had the top off mine either. a nagging voice in my head says to sell it.
  3. pulled my STI out of the garage to knock the dust off, and it started raining. tired of your shit, Ohio
  4. Ahhhh They should've just bought a MK7
  5. Why did the convert it to DSG? Is it not available on the R?
  6. How is it not the same? Are carbureted engines not cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain??? fuel injected engines are more complicated, require more parts, more expensive, and require a computer for gods sake.
  7. i'm sure old guys said the same about carburetor vs. fuel injected engines back in the day. 2 pedal cars are the future, as much as i hate to say it. and after that, no pedal cars.
  8. From the pictures of his house on Neil, it looks like they've already moved out.
  9. 1309 Neil Ave. is for sale... For double what he paid
  10. I like it. Looks less like a kit car.
  11. if i gave you a $10k budget, what could you get me? lol
  12. turned down "$23,000 cash this weekend" from a guy in Virginia. new guy in Lexington, KY seems promising. thanks, i think you guys need a shop STI!
  13. didn't know stating our opinion was shitting? what is a forum for again? think of it as a thread bump
  14. agreed, i don't like this. likewise with local situations, CD1025 looking for their broadcast license or the food truck Sweet Carrot asking for money to open their restaurant. oh, cool... a $5 t-shirt for a $50 "investment???" gee thanks. these guys have other revenue streams. this isn't charity
  15. Kbb puts it 26-28k. Nada is a lot lower. Dealers list similar condition cars 28k-29k. On autotrader, it's the lowest priced clean-titled sub 30k mile STI in the country (with the same engine tech as 2015s!) I've had several offers, maybe 10 or so. Most were too low, all $20k or over. financing is the issue for guys that really wanted the car. Edit: saw some ghost posts before this one. appreciate the input.
  16. tell your friends. took it off craigslist, there is wiggle room on the price to deal local http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=43212&endYear=2016&modelCode1=IMPWRX&showcaseOwnerId=596827&startYear=1981&makeCode1=SUB&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&searchRadius=25&showcaseListingId=401234635&mmt=[sUB[iMPWRX[iMPWRX%257CSTI]][]]&listingId=398093756&Log=0
  17. I mentioned looking south on the first page! Tickets out of Rickenbacker to FL are $100-$150
  18. uh oh. here comes the first of the ST-for-RS for sale threads! Good luck, nice looking car
  19. Drug addicted prostitutes. That's the relation.
  20. '04 i'm guessing? there is a used vf48 on Central Ohio Subarus FB page for sale. 40k miles, asking $600 http://carphotos3.cardomain.com/images/0016/11/82/16151128_large.jpg this would be cool
  21. Talked to a Ford employee that lives in Michigan who came down to look at my STI. He said he was underwhelmed by the RS. He didn't give specifics, so take this with a grain of salt.
  22. big weight, i like the leather. MUCH more support. i like the nylon for low or medium weight higher rep stuff. but you can use the leather too with no issues. we have both rogue belts at my gym to use. if you buy the leather one, you'll never need to buy another belt
