  1. I dunno Rich. Nothing says love like a Blizzak?
  2. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the tech stuff. Lord knows I need it, but it's annoying. The only other forum I'd ever consider giving money to is Vortex, but I've been on there nearly ten years. Once you sift through all the BS and snobs you see what it really is.

  4. CR would be a whole hell of a lot different it if was about dollars. Look at DSM Tuners, or a few of the Audi sites, or Bimmerfest for that matter. Not having to sift through 50 advertisements through a thread is nice.
  5. Lindsey Lohan? No way... I was only surprised by a couple actually.
  6. My brother Marty and I built this tub a few years ago. Went 96 on Alum Creek and we were then promptly asked to leave. Trials after getting it done someplace in Sc. http://www.youtube.com/user/sevenhornets#p/u/6/MXcy-eJ0LrA
  7. The parts you have put it really close to the GMPP Crate Vortec 350. They were rated at 330. Lite headwork, good manifold, open exhaust I'd put it in the 340-360 range.
  8. With terrible production tolerances. Internally different than the AFB, but used the same Step Up springs, Metering Rods, and Jets. Made to look like AFB's for the Nostalgic types.
  9. I'm too lazy to list it out, but here are the most obvious reasons. http://www.stratadrome.com/bronco/holley_vs_edelbrock.htm The 45 dollar difference in the two is worth it in my opinion.
  10. Just like the Holley. Adjust the mixture screws on the metering blocks, maybe check the float levels and go. He more than likely won't have to pop the Bowls off either. The Jetting Holley installs from the factory is set up for the average built motor. Just like what is going in the boat.
  11. He's plotting revenge, and wants to make sure ir knows where he's gonna execute his plan. My boys go back and forth all the time, luckily we havent had go to the hospital yet.
  12. Up to 3.73's, headers, said x-pipe, aftermarket 2.5" exhaust of choice, tune, 3200 stall converter. WOT shift points, and firmness can be modded through tune a valvebody kit may be needed as well. And Drag radials. M/T's would be a fine choice.
  13. Yes, 5th. Or is it the 288th? If they make a Z it needs to be stripped down, manual, and a screaming N/A motor. But that would make sense, and gold true to the original.
  14. Cubic inches of motor X max RPM / 3456 X Volumetric Efficiency= CFM required. 350x6000/3456X.85=516 CFM. 600 will be plenty. 750 would run on there but would be a nightmare to tune.
  15. Oh, with the spring attached to it? Part of the hot air choke system. When you get the electric conversion, that gets tossed in the garbage.
  16. Lies, all lies!!!! This study was conducted by all ugly women. With the common goal of making their husbands suffer. They think they are doing their gender a favor.
  17. With that manifold, it'll bolt right on. I think you're talking about the hot air choke from the Q-Jet. Not needed on the Holley.
  18. You'll need an adapter to go from the Spread Bore flange on the Intake to the Square Bore Flange on the carb. Not a big deal, they're 20 bucks. Get the Electric Choke kit. Much easier to use than setting up a manual (especially in a boat), its two wires to activate. Power from the starter (switched source), and a ground to the intake. Jetting should be close out of the box, you'll need to set the float levels, and Idle mixture screws. I'm not sure how inspections go around here, but these are not Marine approved. Which on a carb basically means the vent tubes on top are not in a J-shape to vent fumes and fuel down into the motor as opposed to everywhere else. And If they check you'll need a Air Cleaner that doubles as a Flame Arrestor as well.
  19. Sooooooooo what exactly would you get for the extra 980k? $500 wheels, $400 tires? Oh wait, its the paint job, and lambo doors. Ugh. Someone will buy it.
  20. It would be interesting, when the 4th gen was released the Z was supposed to get the CTS-V motor.550 horse an six speed, better chassis tuning, etc. Still a whale though.

  22. I like that. Likely would have hated being a Teacher anyways. Or not actually utilized my degree. So now I'm full of Jeopardy type useless info.
  23. 81st, Had Education been higher maybe could have hit 88ish. Meh 6 points.
