I like Lucky on HRG. Ive watched a little bit of his YT channel and its sorta difficult to watch. Its very basic.

Do you have any devices you can plug into your modem by Ethernet to troubleshoot the situation, make sure you are getting 100 out of the modem into the router?
My desktop via Ethernet sees the same speed. So that's why my assumptions now are that's its a modem issue. Its only a couple years old. I read something about some modems using 4 "channels" or something instead of 2 which allows for higher speeds?

cool car. I wish my wife would have liked the styling on these, we would have considered one.

Thanks for the tips. I just replaced the router so it should be fine. I read my modem should be able to handle 90ish mb but it must not. I'll order a new one and go from there.Guy at work just went through this and was talking about it yesterday, I think he was getting around 30 down too.Replaced modem and was up to 100 plugged in, but still slowish over wifi.
Replaced the router and is getting ~90 now over wifi.

Joe, have you looked into the new ultra mega wifi routers that 'come with' or you can get mesh devices that work with them? It sounded like you were saying maybe you were still having wifi issues out in the barn.

I've no hands on working knowledge, if this will work for as far as you are trying to reach out from your house to your barn, but it might be worth looking into.

Same situation here. 100mb for $65. Except I only ever see around 35up and 6 down.. :-/ Maybe I need to replace my modem?

Yep, that's the thing. Their bad episodes are half assed ideas that they don't care about, and it shows.
I like Tony a lot, both on here and HRG.
My buddy and I were just saying the same thing. He's a nice addition to the MT staff.

I agree. Great Episode. Their excitement at the end was.. well exciting.

Im using a patio canopy propane heater currently. It works great but Ive used $80-100 worth of propane this month working on my C10. A lot happier with it than a stupid kerosene torpedo heater.
But, I either need to invest in a larger tank or get someone to run some gas pipe to the garage and buy a heater. Ugh.
Im curious if an electric heater would be more expensive to run than this propane setup for a std 2 car garage?

I was always against the coats on dogs thing too. But we walk our dog quite a bit year round and she is short haired. The coat makes a pretty big difference in her comfort level. Its obvious by watching her.

I didn't realize that. I wouldn't expect that to affect the mtod app.Kind of yeah. Firestick is not going to support the YouTube app after 1/1/18 so I wasn't sure if that would affect anything with MTOD....I think their beef is only with YT thoughSent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I pay for it. Well worth the cheap $$ imo.
I would probably pay for it just for RK Garage and Dirt Every Day.
I'm bored with Junkyard Gold already....
Will MTOD let me watch it on a Firestick once they pull the plug on YT 1/1?There is a MTOD app on firestick if that's what you are asking. Its sorta basic but it works.

I have the big 1/2" impact, its bigger and heavier than I thought it would be. Id like to have the midsized one but doubt I would trade down. Im just a weekender and its great for what I do. I actually just gave away my 1/2" air impact because I never once used it after I got the electric gun.

well done.

I think my favorite is the BRZ, looking and driving. Didn't love it stock but I love it now. Finally after almost 20 years of car mod'ing I didn't under/over build something. And Ive owned it for over 5 years and don't feel the need to replace it with something which is a good feeling.
My 99 Camaro SS was probably the car I never missed and maybe should have? It made ok noises but I always felt it missed the mark on many accounts.

If I were to ever think I wanted a ferret this thread killed those hopes and dreams. :-)

I can't wait for this. Hitting up Texas de Brazil again for sure. Might try Top as well.
We did The Top last year for RW, the prime rib was good. I like that place regardless but if you haven't been its something worth trying.
We may do Lindey's. I haven't been for a long time. Or maybe just The Barn or something since its super close.

Jim @ Spartan Tool is a good guy and has excellent deals on tools as well.Circular saw, Jig saw, grinder, 1/2" impact.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Understandable. It's not a popular mod by many, but the only thing that was holding me back from wanting to finish it.Very cool, lthough as a former K10 owner I'm sad to see the 4x4 go away.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Ordered a Ridetech susp kit for a c10 I'm working on.
We need a TV for the bedroom but truck parts come first.

Shawn did own a lot of Verizon stores... and was pretty successful at that.
And I fully agree. But its nothing like trying to run a performance shop.
-
I'll admit I was actually kind of excited to see them go that direction if they could market it properly and sell the value with being able to build tuning/upgrades into your payment schedule. Unfortunately it seemed like a good idea gone bad last time I was over in that area. It's not hard to look around and find a failed "speed shop" or two in the history of Columbus.
For sure, I think they had a great opportunity to make it something unique. Unfortunately the owner had no automotive background (to my knowledge)and thinks it can be ran like a Verizon store. He made lots of promises to his employees and followed through with very few of them. I do not see him keeping it long term. I think its got to be a money pit the way its operating currently.

Anyone know how their performance wing is going?
I haven't heard anything for a couple months since my buddy left, but there wasn't much of anything going on there recently. They lost several good techs when the new owner took over and turned everybody flat rate earlier this year. I don't see them being able to get enough good people in there to ever make it successful.

try ToyBarn? I dont think they do much of anything with theirs.
