  1. +1. find these for $449 and up

I think our Springfield Armory USGI was about $400 or so from Vance's a few years ago. Shoots okay, is fussy about ammo like most 1911's are, and I can't shoot for shit with it but it's an alright gun. I'd take any of my Rugers any day over a cheapish 1911. More magazine capacity, shoots better (for me anyway), more reliable, easier to take down, better to grip, can shoot DA/SA, don't have to carry cocked & locked, and I could go on. I can't understand why these cost so much, it's a friggin USGI design, it should be like $200 like the commy pistols.

Be aware that if you get one with plastic grips, they will crack if you look at them oddly. Better have a spare set or two around. Super cheap, and take about 3 seconds to change.

  2. I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on that.

Ever played Resistance, Halo, Quake etc online? Now thats run and gun. Take 3 mags to kill a person, so you end up with 2 people running in a circle shooting at each other.

Thats why I like COD so much because its not like that at all, a lot more realistic, but not too realistic for it to be boring.

Agreed. I wish it were more realistic with the weapon attributes but what can you do, they wanted some balancing and variety. It seems like everyone is either a noob or super good. And spawn deaths are even higher than WAW. And when painkiller finally kicks in, you get spawned on the other side of the map. Great. And the invite system is trash. Everything else is better than MW1 though.

  3. my motor is fine with 75K and my wife's has almost 80k.

    Drive harder;)

No really though, there have been some subie motor-blowers going around lately. I had a subaru and the motor was fine other than having no power and sounding like a vanagon. 180k miles too. Eventually the fuel pump died, the axle came out of the trans, and I hung it up. Poor car.

  4. They do have them...

They also are not suppossed to jam and are much more consistant

Who has them? Who? The average toyota consumer? Absolutely not! Maybe carefully trained professionals have them. In the Army? Where?

If trained professional drivers had faulty toyotas they would handle them just fine. Joe toyota idiot cannot.

  5. On my Subaru the DBW system and Requested Torque system are great for tuning. But if I was leaving it stock, yeah, I´d take a throttle cable too.

On your subaru you don't have problems getting stuck at WOT, and if you did Subaru would deny responsibility. Toyota is in trouble. If it's confirmed that they knew the DBW servos or whatever were bad, and they tried to mask it with a baloney "floormat" recall, they're going to get that crap sued out of them and lose.

I don't know guys, maybe I'm prejudiced but I just can't see any difference between an optioned camry and an es350. Then they throw the avalon and solara in there, and that's not helping. When you're underneath these things all day, and they look identical, it makes it much harder to pay thousands more for one than the other. Is that what is costs to paint some plastic badges gold?

  6. You know, if they had a proper keyed ignition they could have just turned the car off. Too bad some people just aren't bright enough to shift, kill the motor, or do something else while driving out of control in their runaway toyotas. Nobody said they were the best drivers.
  7. I hate toyota and especially lexus. Good for them I guess for taking advantage of people who are willing to spend more money for a camry with a different badge.

Haha, it's true. You know it's sad when they're reaching and exceeding the price point of the cars they were supposed to be cheaper alternatives to years ago. FAIL. I hope the whole company goes under, or at least nears it. You know, Audi has been through this an it nearly killed them. Maybe Toyota should ask for some pointers?

  8. Wow, I went through the EXACT same thing buying a triumph a couple of years back. Still have the bike, sans title :(. I'm really interested to see how this turns out for you because I need to do the same thing. Good luck.
