  1. sure, that's what all the campers say. Ever since lightweight/commando the COD series has been radically geared toward run/knife. Get with it, sheesh!
  2. I'm sure many people would say the same thing about some cars on this site. That's a pretty solid deal for that, but the 5.45 fad has passed. 5.56 is available now, and the 5.45 rifles aren't as reliable and get corroded. I'd probably be more interested in a 7.62 x 25 AR than this one honestly, but good deal.
  3. Run away! Everyone I know with a Ducati is working on it constantly, which leads to them never wanting to ride it. I don't have many Ducati friends though.

    AR15 Help

Well, I'll disagree and say that an M1A platform will cost you a fortune to keep up with an AR platform, and you'll be screwing with it regularly to keep competitive. It's the 1911 of rifles- if you want to tinker and fit, then that's what you want. Last I checked, .308 AR mags were under $20, which is less than what I usually see good M1A mags for. It is much, much easier to make an accurate AR. It's cheaper and easier yet to make an accurate bolt gun, especially in .30 caliber. You could get a savage, good optics, and ammo that will outshoot an M1a all day long for much less money.
  5. Motorkars is evil. So is auto assets sometimes. Motorkars (used to be cool back in the 90's) ran my car into a wall, and Auto assets tried to charge me for a dyno run they didn't even do because their shit broke. Fail. I've heard good things about Performance Automotive on roberts rd, and Jon's up north of Marysville does a decent job... although he kinda sold out a little while back. Just do it yourself. Audi coolant hoses are quick-connect and it will take you about 15 seconds.
  6. I'd be surprised if a Ferrari V8 could be had brand new with fuel injection for $28k. I think the people buying these probably aren't too awfully worried about money. Very cool.
  7. Well done. That's much nicer of them than just shooting the guy. Come on America, man up.
  8. I might go as high as $1000, assuming everything wasn't dry-rotted and leaking.
  9. That car has obviously been beaten to death. For the turbos to go that soon it must have had crap oil that was never changed, and had the snot run out of it. I mean, 80k on a clutch? Come on! Get ready for water pump failure, ABS module failure, o2 sensor failure, dash cluster failure, etc. You should definitely sell it to me for $6k. I'm doing you a favor here.
  10. That is super duper mega-awesome. It's about time! Too bad I have to wait a couple years for BMW to get pwned though. Nice front bumper sticker.
  11. Well if you guys want to unload a ps3 version I have $40 with your name on it. Let me know. I'm glad to see a game depart from the unrealistic accuracy and recoil of MW2 guns, and lame-ass 'commando > rifle' gameplay. I can't believe COD still doesn't have destructible environments!
  12. What? Seriously? I was pretty sure they were on the GTI chassis. You guys are getting the front suspension issues of the b5 chassis confused, the Audi TT is a totally different car than an A4/Passat. That being said- I wouldn't have any issues with the 1.8t at 100k miles. Our passat we bought new and put 110k on it still ran like new when we traded it in. We never had sludge issues, nor did anyone else I knew who used synthetic oil.

If cost is a consideration I'd go with a 9mm over a .40sw. Ammo is much cheaper most places, which means you can practice more. Depending on the market, .40 is right there with .45 sometimes, other times it's right between 9mm and .45.
  14. I don't know dude... The 996s I've sat in were far, far, far, nicer and (feeled) better built than any C5 I've ever sat in. Corvette's have come a long way in driveability since the C3s and C4s, I'll give you that.
  15. Because having six rounds sucks badly, and bigger cylinders are bulkier. When I was in CCW class the hit rate among civilian AND LE shootings was 1 in 7 (or something to that effect) so statistically you're not likely to get a hit on a target without reloading a revolver.
  16. Image pwn! I hope you're happy with your new vehicle, that is a very different car than an A4 that's for sure!!! Yeah man, if you want more power you started with the wrong model. Just enjoy it for what is is and look for a TT if you want to go fast. And don't be a ricer and start throwing TT parts on your NA, I've seen it done.
  17. You know, when you get down to it a $400 1911 will do 95% of the work a $2500 1911 will. It just won't be quite as accurate, reliable, pretty, or robust. It will still be a 1911 though and want springs replaced every year, mags will be finicky, and you'll have to carry cocked and locked. So get a cheapy, shoot the shit out of it, and upgrade if you need/want to. Good plan.

    More black ops news

Great, now I can spend $3k on a TV so my COD will look better! I'm surprised they don't offer "Mega Prestige Edition" with its own HD 3-d TV, and COD-edition goggles. Good for them for exploring advanced tech though. I'll play it in 2-d
  19. I'll agree that lever guns are fun to give a workout, makes you feel like a cowboy especially with a single-action on your hip. That's a pretty nice looking custom gun, just needs a scabbard and you're all set.
  20. The cheaper 1911s like the Springfield GI won't have a good beavertail safety on them, and they will eat away at the web of your hand after a few hundred rounds. If you get a cheaper 1911 you plan on shooting, plan on replacing that pretty soon. 1911s are kinda like m1a's. They want to be 'tinkered' with, and most every part will need hand fitting. Some parts from some makers may be drop-in in some 1911s. That being said I love the way even my cheapie Springfield 1911 mil-spec shoots, and it's plenty accurate. Be careful with modding- many times people get in over their head with what seems like an easy part swap, and the gun doesn't run afterwards.
