I put the stock heatshield back on over the exhaust manifold so hopefully that offers some relief, however small it may be.

It's dsm...who cares what it looks like under there as long as it works properly. It's not like its a nice exotic car like a sunfire or anything. Cobbled is fine.

Mandrel bends are more expensive than PVC. DSMer ='s Cheap. The intake is already built and installed as of yesterday, just trying to figure out how it will hold up.

Also, to your point, there are some guys using pvc for their IC piping post cooler and have had no issues.

I am not talking about using it post turbo, I am talking pre turbo. It wouldn't see boost. HAs anyone here made their own intake pip using PVC? More specifically, for a turbo application? If so, did you have anuy issues with it? From what I have read, PVC melts at 400f, so for most of the pipe I am not concerned about the under hood temps, but with the end feeding into the compressor housing being so close to the turbine housing and exhaust manifold, I don't know if it will get that hot or no...

OK. I bought mine in Nov of 2011 so I will take a look at the Mfg date on it to see when it was actually built and go from there. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I would second that. E85+'s cheap race gas. E85-$2.70/gal Cam2-$6.99/gal? $4.29/gal Dif. Cost of 1600cc injectors is $300 So after 70gal the injectors will have paid for themselves then you are then saving money over smaller injectors and more expensive fuel. And that's assuming you don't sell your smaller injectors to help offset the cost of bigger ones.
