  1. I would advise you to avoid this state like the plague. Takes alomost everything in me to grin and bare this place. I knew that about Alaska. I don't know I would want to live there permenantly, but I certainly want to visit sometime and I could see myself wanting to live there for a couple years, or maybe have a cottage along a small trout stream somewhere out there I could go to a couple times a year.
  2. Takes forever to actually receive you CCW here though. Like 3+ weeks. My brother has been waiting 6wks and still doesn't have his. Had it when he lived in WA and OH within 3 days...
  3. If you don't have CCW it must remain in the car. Since I don't have my CCW here yet, its no biggie as I just commute between here and work and work is private property so I can have it on me at all times.
  4. That's fine with me. Don't really want anyone else knowing I am carrying anyway.
  5. Just found out that in the state of TX, you do NOT need a CHL/CCW to carry a loaded handgun in your vehicle as long as it remains concealed. :megusta: Finally, one thing I like about TX to combat the 100 things I hate.
  6. Some believe NA's migrated from Asia...
  7. More of a Jasmine kind of dude...
  8. saw this on wimp.com yesterday. I would imagine that's pretty overwhelming. "Ha ha...stupid indians, we took your sh*t and now we're rich yo!"
  9. Welcome to the site Ryan. My name on columbusdsm is kapok6. Glad to see you over here. +rep for fellow DSMer!
  10. Ha ha ha. I thought the e-mail was worded rather eloquently. I like the whole "Your words mean nothing to me, buuuuut....ima do a whole bit on it."
  11. I found idle harder to control with FIC 1550's on my DSM with 93oct than I do currently with e85. On 93 sometimes the car would idle rich for a couple mnutes then suddenly lean out to the point of stalling. When I spoke with FIC about it they basically told me that the injectors couldn't react fast enough for the little amount of pump gas needed. I asked if e85 would make it easier to get in line due to needing more fuel to acquire the same results and they speculated I would see an improvement, which I did. But again, that is on a 1G dsm, older technology than an Evo so I may be comparing apples to oranges there.
  12. Man, I wish this was on a few months ago. I never used to watch it but I went on the website to get info on where to send a letter to see if they would do a show on my Brother's Grand National since we was severely injured in Iraq and does not have the ability to work on the car. I saw the show was no longer on so obviously nothing came to fruition and he sold the car a couple weeks ago
  13. Congrats man. You will get sleep in a couple months. Didn't take our son Judah long before he started sleeping consistently. At 8mo now, he does down between 740-8 and wakes back up about 630-7.
  14. You follow criminal being chased by the police then are surprised when something goes "wrong" on live TV? WTF do you think is going to happen that would be appropriate to show on live TV in this situation? He is going to just start help old ladies cross the street?
  15. I need to get about 8 cameras set up at my work. Our COO is recommending a Swann System. http://www.frys.com/product/7183772?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Looks pretty nice. I had a Lorex setup in my house when I lived back in OH which I liked too. Is there a big quality dif between the two brands or is it just basically flip a coin and go with either one?
  16. Yup...2yrs ago I ran over ne in the back alley while she was crossing really fast in front of me with babies on her back. I broker her back and she pulled herself with her front claws to the side, with 1 or 2 babies still hanging on, the rest had been flattened. I'm like "great, what do I do now?" I hate them but don't want to see them suffer. I go back to the house, get my 1200fps pellet gun, drive back down the alley, aim the gun out of my window, and I put 2 in the back of her dome piece. The I finish the bother baby(s) as there is no way they are going to survive without their mom. I took about 7 opossums out that night.
  17. french press It takes slightly more effort but as I am discovering, there is a certain nostalgic appreciation for things you have to work for. I have a zassenhaus burr grinder similar to this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31TnEsLnvML.jpg and a B&B 1 cup french press. I will not say my palate is refined enough to taste drastic differences based on the way coffee is made, this is just the way I prefer to make it. Kind of like how this weekend I made some book shelves out of an old pallet and I sanded by hand. It is a pita to sand all that by hand, but you have a great appreciation for the finished product when you put a little more work and attention to detail in it.
