I just want to say good luck getting that thik out when you decide to upgrade to forced air. I had to cut it up partially with an angle grinder and sawzall just to get it up the stairs and through the door then finish cutting it up the rest of the way outside with and angle grinder. those things are beastly.

The restrictions are for my conscience. Would he be fine in a house with kids, sure, with someone who knows what they are doing. Most people don't. It only takes once for someone to not be paying attention, their 5yr old runs over to the food bowl and the dog snaps at the kid then goes to the hospital and it gets traced back to me. So now we have a kid that got bit, me looking bad for adopting out a dog that bit a kid, and another negative rep for a breed all because the dog went to someone who either isn't capable of handling the dog or just chose to let the rules slip. Aside from legal repercussions, how am I going to sleep at night if I see the story listed above on the news and know that I adopted the dog out to somone I wasn't 100% confident could handle the dog? There really aren't a lot of restrictions either. The no kids and no other dogs are 2 restrictions. The home owners insurance are policies put in place by the companies, not me. The 4th item isn't really a restriction. It's saying you need to have experience and if you don't at least demonstrate a legitimate desire to acquire some. As for a rott resuce, if I can't find someone here to take him, that's who I will be contacting. Also, a prong collar breaking? A dog should never be pulling hard enough on a prong collar for it to break. If it is put on properly and used properly and the handler is paying attention to the situation at hand, the dog should never get the opportunity to pull on one that hard.

I may be open to saying eff it and loosening up the stipulations but whoever takes him is sigining a liability waiver freeing me from any backlash that may come from improper handling of the new owner. That being said if you want to check him out and talk further I am open to that.

Allow me to elaborate then. What's the point in spending $4-$5k on a car that is getting rare just to mod the ish out of it when you could find a 100k shell for half that and it be a lot quicker for the same amount you are willing to spend on a stock car? In my opinion out are paying $4k because it is hard to find that car of that year in that condition. You are paying $4k because of what it is...not because of what you can change.

Pressure plate, disk, and transfer case are sold.

What you have to determine is if you want to mod the car or keep it stock. If you want to mod it, I would just go buy a $2,000 car with a clean shell and then put the other $3K into it and run 12's all day. If you are going to keep it stock I would maybe pay $4-$4500 and just make sure to keep up on the maintenance and only drive it on nice days. I am with fourstring on loving the cars for everything that they are. I am partial to the 1Ga's ( I like the pop up headlights and the rear tailights better on them) but I have really come to appreciate them as a whole. Yeas they can be ungodly fast for relatively little money but I fit comfortably in the 1G's, I like how the dash is driver oriented by coming out to an angle facing the driver, I like the aerodynamic shape of the body, and yes...I love the 4G63. IF you have the oppotunity to jump all over a legit 51K car and just enjoy it on the weekends and such, I would suggest doing it but don't buy it to turn it into a daily driver. Also, Erik (Patterson) was right. The 1Gb 7 bolts were NOT prone to crank walk. I think it was the 95-96's that saw the brunt of that. Anyway, good luck with the purchase. Just out of curiosity, whats this lady's name, location, and contact info? :grin2:

+1. I don't like obamalamadingdong or biden but I despise palin. You can't run your own state, you can't take care of you family, but you entertain governing a country. Wow. Just. Wow.

Don't have any non-mondavi cabs do you?

read about this last week. I don't agree that she should be put to death but she also knew the law that governs the land before she said what she said. Proverbs 17:28 "Even a fool is considered wise if he keeps silent." Perhaps she should have listened to the proverbs of her professed religion (Christianity) and she wouldn't be in this mess...

Not 8wks or less. 8wks or older. If you get a pup from someone who says it's not an issue taking them younger than 8wks don't buy from that person because they obviously don't care about being a responsible breeder and more about quick turnover for fast cash. If you are adamant about a pure breed dog, make sure you establish a relationship with a REPUTABLE breeder. A $300 dane out of the newspaper from a backyard breeder is just that. Dog was created for profit and no attention was paid to breed standard, health, or anything else. By buying pure bred dogs from people like this you are supporting people that dilute the market and gene pool with sub par dogs. That's why so many breeds are fruitcakes these days. Rottweilers, Dobermans, Shepherds, a lot of these dogs aren't what they used to be because of piss poor irresponsible breeding from peoplke who think "hey, I have a GSD, they have a GSD, lets breed them." Bad ish. This applies to all breeds. There are lots of dogs in shelters that need homes too Just something to consider. Just my $.02. Good luck with your search.

Man that sucks. My Wife's parents live out there and I have gone a few times with my father-in-law. Nice people and nice outdoor range.

I am down for a good read but you see, you may not be aware but I actually strapped on a turbocharged nitrous infused rocket to my back and went back in time and got those books from you and read them and then returned to the present time, so let me know when you want them back. http://www.freewebs.com/frankthegiantrabbit/frank%20eye.jpg I have been thinking about getting caspian certified as a therapy dog. Getting K to square off 90 shouldn't be that hard. Nero is on point with it and that Rottie I am trying to find a home for can do it too.

If I am undertsanding your point correctly than any form of travel would be "time travel." A car will get you from point a to point b faster than walking, and a jet will get you there faster than driving, so it's all relative. What it comes down to in this conversation is the defnition of "time."
-
time is completely intangible though. Just because a distance is shortened doesn't mean you can walk across and see things that haven't happened yet. OK, lets say you are on one side of the bed sheet and in 6hrs something amazing is going to happen on the other side of the bed sheet. But it take you 7hrs to get there. You are going to miss the evnt by an hour. Now drop the bowling ball on the sheet to create a "chasm" or whatever you want to call it which brings two parts of the bed sheet closer together and now because you can just hop across the bowling ball, it will only take you 4hrs to get to the other side. You just save 3 hrs. But that doesn't mean that the event taking place will happen any sooner, you just have 2hrs of waiting to do now. Does that make sense? The distance traveled/time needed to travel changes but the actual timing of the events doesn't change.
