  1. I learned a long time ago that in the south, if it ain't on fire, it can wait 'til tomorrow.
  2. Yes Sir. She'll actually be coming up to CBus with us next week.
  3. Nailed #10 in spectacular fashion. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1005&pictureid=8940
  4. If you are talking Columbus, I have no idea. In DFW, it's kind of a mix. There are so many "fast cars here" it kind of depends what crew you are trying to fk with. In my experience, a 525whp DSM can get you a long way slaying most imports, and some lightly modded V8's. But there are a LOT of Mid 9sec to low 10 sec V8's out there, like CTS-V's, Vettes, etc rolling around that are going to pound someone like me into the ground if i'm only putting 500-550 to the ground. I've got head work, bigger cams, and a bigger turbo now, maxed out could get me close to 700hp crank, which will help, but it really comes down to who you run across. If the car isn't a pig, 600hp is fun...if it's a pig, 750-800 is where i'd need to be in order to start to be satisfied.
  5. Ditto. My family is from Ashtabula. Everyone the age of my mom's parents moved there due to the plethora of good paying factory jobs. The kind where you could have a single parent working at the factory and the other one working at home raising and maintaining the house. One where you could save money, afford to take your family on a vacation, and put your kids through college. I even remember as a kid in the 90's the land being cleared and the mall being built. Going down town shopping with my mom and my grandma, then getting lunch. Then shortly after, factories closed as all those jobs went to china. As you mentioned, the businesses that were open and profited from that workforce closed. Fast forward to now. (Heck this started 10yrs ago), the mall is creepy and vacant. It looks like a bomb went off downtown. And last I heard, Ashtabula was the meth cooking capital of OH. That county is amazing for hunting and fishing. And having done my fair share of that, I can attest to how much space there is to cook meth and most likely not get caught. Heck, a few years ago one judge was telling citizens to stay armed and vigilant because they just didn't have the law enforcement resources needed. Honestly, if your aren't hunting or fishing up there, it's a depressing place. The crappy economy combined with the stagnant gene pool make me feel gross whenever I go back there. :/ When your options on a friday night are heroine/meth, or getting coffee at Perkins...it's not hard to guess where most people are going to wind up.
  6. I've got a buddy back in Cbus i'll be talking to face to face who has lost pretty much everything due to his opiod issue. It'll be interesting for sure.
  7. Lack of education, jobs, and overly prescribed/easily accessed pills. Years ago my dad was prescribed oxy after a back surgery. When he was weening himself off of it said he understood how people can get into the mind state where they would do anything for it. He would be up in the middle of the night at like 3am because he couldn't sleep due to his body telling him to take another one. Thankfully he has the kind of willpower lacking in many that I know; but it definitely have him an enlightened perspective on just how hard it is to overcome. It's a slippery slope. One many can't climb out of.
  8. This. There is no supply without demand.
  9. If yenner is selling that one for $100 i'd happily take it off his hands.
  10. Yeah, I saw that. Nice gun for sure, but i'm pretty sure the one I'm thinking of was a single shot the person said they'd sell for $100.
  11. Who on here mentioned in Kerry's older BB gun thread that they had a single shot bolt action .22 for $100? I think I'll be back in OH in about 2wks and would be interested in it if it's still for sale.

Yeah, i'm confused as to how your statement was political...
  15. Finally got a video of Ventress getting a bunny yesterday. The flight was so long, I didn't see her connect. In fact, at first, I had thought she missed until I was almost to her location and I could hear the bunny.

    Kia Stinger

I think I like the look of the Stinger better, but would rock either one.

Because I can't afford right meow. Often thinking about something I want but can't buy is why I hate it. Lulz. It's not the actual car I hate. I personally don't even think it looks bad.

    Kia Stinger

I hate that I like the idea of this car as much as I do.
  19. This. My 1G scares me about the 140+ area, ha ha. I have done balls to the wall freeway once. Not doing that again. Lulz.
  20. This. Obviously I am biased. Easier to wok on than the 2G's (Though the 2G is a much better looking car, especially the 2Gb), and you have the 6 bolt motors in the 90-91. Only way i'd run a 7 bolt if it was a 97-99 with the split thrust bearing. Either way, you can make some nice power for relatively little money if you are handy, and JP has proven time and time again.
  21. Based on the example in the article, incorporating an IC doesn't look like it would be any harder than any other platfrom, especially if it is a front mount.
  22. I don't fault anyone for utilizing legal loopholes either. I do it. I also don't fault the "rich" for potentially paying less. If it's legal, then do it. I guess where my "issue" would come in if I had one, is why investment income taxed at a lower rate. Any issues with taxation I think should be with the government and the law, not the people who use the law to legally pay less taxes (percentage wise I mean).
  23. OK, Vox like every other media outlet always has an agenda. That being said, taken at face value, I have to say, I believe it's insane that Jimmy sees less of an advantage than Bob would if each donates $100 to charity, but Jimmy makes 3x less than Bob. Can someone more knowledgeable than myself try to give me some "alternative" facts, ha ha. Keep it simple, i'm slow.
