Dear ladies and gentlemen, what is your take on this? I have always been lead to believe that having a lower CR will make for an engine that will be able to withstand more abuse and longetivety, but i always see guys running more than 9.0:1 in their boosted cars. In one of my VW builds i had a CR of about 7.2:1 and i am sure I could've ran close to 30PSI of boost without any major issues, I am now in the middle of building another 20V turbo engine (VW) and would like you all opinions on it. Please discuss!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Sorry the euro plate is off of the Corrado. On the Fox i am shooting for around 350-400 whp even though i am limited right now because my standalone unit can only support 21psi (250kpa) . I will be looking to make more horsepower later on in the future if i can find an LSD for the car (which means i have to find a connection in Brazil), because even with my old 8 valve turbo setup and close to 200? hp the car would be all over the road thanks to it being close to 1900 pounds. For the guy who asked if I race, fuck yeah i race. :grin2:
