  1. But then I'd have to drop my years of perfected DIY bitching and come up with new IPSE (I Paid Someone Else) bitching.
  2. Especially a 9 year old, driven in Cleveland Winters, poorly cared for by the former owner DD. Note: Thank you Audi for using larger than usual bleed screws on your rear calipers. I only had to replace the rounded off originals, not remove snapped screws or, even better, buy new calipers. Note #2: Fuck you Audi for deciding a huge ass triple-square (with the security nipple) transmission drain plug was the appropriate fastener for that application. Yet made the fill plug and both the diff pieces simple hex style. Tell your engineer's they are NOT funny.
  3. As in what manufacturer or what model\length of barrel? Smith Enterprise, LRB or Fulton would all be good options. Barrel length for me would be the Scout\Squad 18" variant. Of course I have a sickness for the short barrel 308 so take that info with a grain of salt.
  4. Very enjoyable pistol. I find it pretty damn comfortable. Take note though that I also like the grip on the Glock-21 and 30. Recoil is on par with a 22lr pistol. The flash-and-boom are MUCH louder. You coud almost consider it a high velocity flash-bang. Ammo is a touch pricey. CMMG has about the best price at $20.95 for a box of 50 rounds. Which is sad as a year ago it was approx $4 cheaper. No ammo is priced great anymore though. There's a guy in the South\South-West that does custom ammo (APHE, AP, Subsonic etc...) but it certainly isn't cheaper. If you don't shoot much or cost isn't an option the ammo price shouldn't keep you away from the pistol. There are better carry options but folks do use them for CCW.
  5. Correct sir! The new units are shorter and a different color. You can also get an AR or standard rifle style (Cali compliant) buttstock now.
  6. Decided to take some quick and dirty shots of the DD since I had none. Just got her back on the ground tonight after Winter prep and some misc repairs. This will be the second year I've raised the ride height as part of Winter prep. Came in handy last year and I'm looking forward to some more of the same this year! http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/SnowReadyFront.jpg http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/SnowReadyRear.jpg
  7. Soup-can Willy in the house! ***EDIT: Now leaving***
  8. Certainly. Letter of the law my man, letter of the law. And Kenny is correct on the FN bits.
  9. I'll add a few more in addition to my "intro" post. SG1 plinkers: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/57x28_Pair.jpg Bump-In-The-Night and future CCW bit, artsy version: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/BigAndLittle02.jpg Flame Thrower with zombie apocalypse magazine: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/FrontARP01.jpg
  10. No worries. If that comment got me all butt-hurt I'd need a thicker skin transplant. And while appreciated you may want to hold judgement on my vehicles until you've witnessed their glory in person.
  11. One of my favorite hardware stores. I always seem to find what I'm looking for there. Good collection of Metric hardware. The Pep-Boys on Morse used to have a decent selection of large Metric hardware. Haven't been there in years so that may have changed.
  12. I've been helping them out (or getting in the way) for 5 years. Nothing glamorous. Like I said, just a pit monkey. Lot of work, long days, long nights and at times far too much fun. Pretty much the same group of guys the entire time so it's like working with a bunch of smartass brothers with the team owners being Mom and Dad.
  13. At this point in time I don't have enough data to refute this statement. But I am having fun.
  14. I'm always up for some plinking. And the Lemon thing was a blast despite our problems. We ran the Detroit-ish event (Toledo). Had to pull out at approx the 17hr mark. To much ignorance on our part on what it took to make that particular car a bit more bullet proof. An example of our problems would be the jack-handle-coolant-hose fix and the big-ass-stack-of-washers-for-a-motor-mount fix. http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/Images/Lemon/AluminiumHoseWhat.jpg http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/Images/Lemon/MeijerMotorMount.jpg We are definitely going back next year. Maybe even try one of the events in SC as well.
  15. Yeah I know Nik, she's been there quite some time as well. Very nice person, always seemed happy. Nice rig they set you up with. Did you fill the DSM roll? And thanks for your service!
  16. Now that's funny. Although the Gatorade in my nose now isn't.
  17. I really do like the M1A\M14. The price for playing that game can be so expensive though. And that's not including the ammo to actually shoot the things. If your sister did work at the same place as me I'm no longer there. Having a nice little vacation right now before I pick my next career.
  18. Excuse me while I whip this out: Play with cars, guns and drink beer. Not necessarily in that order or all at once. Making computers go for 12.5 years. Now on hiatus. ***Insert beer pic from below here*** Part-time pit crew monkey for a Rolex team. http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/MiamiPractice.jpg Love the beer, perhaps too much at times. http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/BeerLove.jpg I've owned 4.5 cars in my life. I still have 2.5 of them. '74 260Z- stolen, '84 GTi- Under the knife, '99 A4 (Black)- Ran out of talent, '99 A4 (Red-ish)- Daily Driver, '87 325i- Lemon Bitch of which I'm part owner. No pic's of any of them for some reason but the Lemon. The Lemon Night Shot, pre-race: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/Images/Lemon/ReadyFrontQrtr.jpg Yes, the graphics are indeed mad-fucking-tite. Yes, we did them. No, we won't do yours as graphics are evil and will make blood run from your ears. Lemon + Me Action Shot: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/Images/Lemon/eBell01.jpg The choice of course markers proved to be very theraputic. It was every stuck in traffic fantasy I ever had. Well, not the the one with two chicks and the ferret. Why yes, our pit crew is armed, isn't everybody's? http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/Images/Lemon/WellArmedCrew.jpg Ahhh, the gun thing. I suppose a few wouldn't hurt. The one rifle I own that I can NOT leave alone. Everybody else mucks about with their AR, I choose the SOCOM because I'm an idiot and like doing things the hard way. http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/perhaps.jpg Not that I don't have a soft spot for Mr. Stoner's design. http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/CQTInstalled.jpg My precious. I got a thing, real bad, for a short bbl 7.62x51: http://www.netwalk.com/~mrbell/CurrentGoTo.jpg In my world the sky is blue. You get my respect until you fuck that up like you do everything else. I am not a bad ass, low-drag, high-speed mother fucker. I do play one on T.V. I hate people. I like individuals. I'd like to thank everyone for coming here tonight. I know it was short notice but your a great group and I knew I could count on you! Drive safe and tip your waitress!
