  1. Tomorrow morning I deliver my truck to her new owner, my last GM vehicle... I got this FS2-GM for this truck specifically, it's still got one of the two original licenses it came with. Includes box, all original paperwork, the OBD2 and serial data cables. I was gonna stick it on ebay starting at $600 this weekend but I thought I'd offer it local first at a slight cash discount. $535 to any of you guys if you want it before I list it other places. Its summer so I'm working long days but can arrange lunchtime / evening drive meet ups around Powell / Deleware / the zoo or morning / later evening times in the Valleyview / west Columbus area. Would also entertain trades for a COBB AccessPort v3 but much prefer cash. Please EMAIL or TEXT me for fastest response. Thanks Dan Dgostlin1@gmail.com (614)625-9615
  2. Looking to pay someone to do a few very minor turning operations on a couple pieces. I have one [flashlight component] that needs bored out ~1.5mm wider and then I have another piece I need turned out of a piece of scrap aluminum you have laying around (but I can get stock beforehand if needed). Right now I'm looking for only a single one of each but I'd be interested in discussing having a run of each of the two things, maybe about 15-20 of the parts I need made and then for the boring the body I would only ever need one or two done at a time but it could be a recurring need. For the part I need turned from stock, I have one existing piece my buddy made me but he lives in NC so its not practical. I can provide it as well as detailed mechanical drawings for you to copy, you wont have to do any designing / fitting, just simply copy my part. If this isnt the right sub-forum for this where should I post it? Or can anyone recommend someone that does this sort of small scale work? Doesnt have to be a shop if you have a lather in your basement / garage that'd be great (and if you take partial payment in pizza / beer that'd be even better!)
  3. Thanks for posting that (I didnt want to till everything's setup). Note site not yet optimized for mobile, recommend switching to desktop. The site is managed by my wife (website's are NOT either of our job's if you cant tell) and was updated just today with new info and a new product. As for the light for sale here, it's "fire" mode would make a great Halloween decoration / pumpkin light. If you're new to Li-ion / 18650's I will even throw in a LG cell for you to use while you get your self some batteries and a charger*. (you can have the cell even if you're already using 18650's, its a 2200mAh cell so runtime on max will only be about 45 minutes with it, for max runtime you need 3400mAh panasonic's) *Please dont just buy the cheapest shit, this is a high performance light with high current draw, you cant just use whetever low quality crap you can find cheapest on amazon. Ask me, I will be glad to help you get setup with a set of good (SAFE) cells and charger for as cheap as possible (not something I sell but a guy I know well runs a web store based in Utah and has 2-3 day shipping)
  4. For recharging Li-ion's I have an EFEST LUC V4 and a pair of nitecore i4's for easy charging and I use an icharger 301b for fast charging. For beginners I highly recommend the nitecore i4 (or the brand new d4), both of them are extremely safe, in fact they're the only 2 chargers I will charge cells on while I'm sleeping / not home to monitor their progress (all these chargers have automatic cut-off however there are some inherent risks with Li-ion. BatteryUniverse is a great resource to learn about the handling precautions / needs with Li-ion). Note a single cell light such as this is the safest way you can use a Li-ion, when you start getting into multi-cell lights with series cells you really have to step up your safety precautions as the possibility for a "vent with flame" (read explosion) greatly increases running cells in series (it's still perfectly safe, I carry a 2s light on a daily bases, but you've gotta know what your doing).
  5. This is the spectrograph of the new LEDEngin "dental blue" UV, yes it peaks at 460 which is visible blue light but if you've seen any spectra of the other currently available UV emitters they're single vertical lines, for LED this is a huge range! http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/1badv8dime/beamshots/60F05894-17B8-4C70-B88D-6E20A0FEC1CD.png
  6. PM's replied Thanks Mitch for fixing my pic's, how do I do it?
  7. Absolutely, no problem at all. PM me.
  8. Lasers just arnt practical to build to sell for a profit, a GOOD quality laser costs around $75-100 in parts to build and with the plethora of cheap $10-35 lasers on the market, and very few people understanding the difference, the margins are total shit. I have several lasers I've built myself, the're fun to play with (tho VERY DANGEROUS) but they're not really worth it from my POV. Having said that please be very very careful with your budget laser, its most likely extremely underspec'd to be able to be legally sold here without a key'd safely. Most of those chineese "5mW" lasers are actually putting out upwards of 70-100mW. Please have it actually measured before using indoors or playing with your cat with it. Anything over ~40mW is so powerful your blink reflex is NOT quick enough to protect your eye and just a single slip up can result is life long damage. My personal favorite laser is a 445nm (blue) laser I built from a sunwayman V11R (flashlight) using the magnetic control ring to adjust power. It's output measures at 1625mW (enough to pop balloons and easily burn paper and even evaporate water droplets). Of course run time is a few minutes on max lol but who cares, it's a toy not a flashlight. I'll see of I can dig up some pic's of it (it's locked in a safe at my mom's house, with 3 kids I can't chance that). About you're UV request, I can do that, I am actually working on a UV project at the moment with a brand new UV emitter that just came out @ 430nm called "dental blue", it's the wavelength used to cure UV setting adhesives, should work great for your transition lenses. Note I am also a nitecore dealer, nitecore makes the only not pleSe of shit UV light currently in the commercial market. I can't post a price cause of MAP policies but I can get you the hookup on a CU6 chameleon
  9. I have far more simple (less fun crap) RGBW flashlight I've just released on the market, I'm talking to Mitch now about becoming a sponsor so watch for that stuff soon. The only thing else I'll say till that happens is if you have a need for a flashlight with color output's DONT buy any of the commercially available crap out (emial me), none of it can hold a candle to my stuff.
  10. It will depend on the exact settings you have enabled, if you have it set to white only full power will run for about 90min on max at a constant level (that's on a 3400mAh panasonic), if you have it set to enable the addition of the color (added into the white mode, config option 13, "HCRI" mode turned on) the battery life will be around 40 minutes on max, this will vary because the light will throttle its self back to keep it from burning up since its running all 4 dies at once (this is a temperature based throttle back) At the other end of the spectrum it will run about 85hours on the lowest (low red) "moonlight" mode There is also 2 other config options to help extend runtimes greatly, first is option 4 "auto-dim" which makes it step down to 30% white after 15 minutes of running (can be instantly over ridden with a single click) and also option 10 which is a time based turbo step-down, this option slowly throttles max power back to 70% over the first 90 seconds the light is on to extend battery life (.5% / 1.5sec). Note because of how we see light you will almost not notice this 30% reduction in output, you can see if it you watch very closely with the light aimed at a white wall but in real world use you will have a hard time noticing this at all.
  11. If someone could tell me how to resize the photo's I would gladly edit, I dont see that option on this forum SW.
  12. Hello, I have started putting these very advanced flashlights together as a hobby and I have one to offer for sale here. Note this light ONLY runs on an 18650 Li-ion, if you dont know what this is you wont be able to run it on 2xCR123's, you'll need to get yourself setup with some 18650's and a charger before you could even use this. contact me via email, dan@killerlumens.com (I dont often check PM's) or by TEXT (please no calls) (614) 625-9615 This light is a RGBW light (thats Red, Green, Blue and White). It has a cree XM-L-Color gen 2 and each individual color is ran at 2.1A. What that means is this thing is BRIGHT, in max it makes 990Lm (real lumens, not an exaggerated number) This one light has (no joke) 17 modes and 13 user configurable options (set by different combo's of clicks). It does evertything from white and individual color light to color mixing to make any color of the full spectrum, it also has numerous strobes and other moodlighting output's (mood lighting modes like fire mode, lightning mode, lava lamp) and useful things like multiple safety flashers, a "stunner strobe" and a fully speed adjustable white strobe which can be used like a strobe light to "freeze" objects in space. This is a video of the user interface, THIS IS NOT THE LIGHT FOR SALE however it functions exactly the same. The light in this video is one I build commercially, I am currently trying to contact the admin here about becoming a site vendor, as such please do not ask about the lights I sell commercially till that happens (the light for sale in this thread is a personal light, not at all one I offer as my business). I promise you there is not another light like this (other than the ones I own personally) in all of columbus, if you want a truly unique flashlight this is it no questions... And several build pictures- exterior (this is built out of a white only light, a SmallSun ZY-T29) http://imgur.com/NzXzGgE.jpg all colors and white on low http://imgur.com/ZgOwFPW.jpg This is the VERY EXPENSIVE emitter http://imgur.com/j17qkax.jpg Takes LOTS of wires to build these things http://imgur.com/2OzX04v.jpg This is a block diagram of how the UI operates http://imgur.com/3NGDM67.jpg and these are te 13 user-configurable options http://imgur.com/rUtWcnU.jpg Also note, the driver in this is a circuit (and a PCB) I personally designed, this isnt made out of off the shelf parts, the only way to build one of these yoursef is to buy this very advanced driver from me, repeat this is NOT something that's on the market at all. Truly exclusive! I sell a similar light (functions the same but has different emitters and a different body) for $150 and they sell all day long (they sell faster than I can build them on the flashlight forums where I am a commercial seller) however since this isnt one of those, but instead just something I threw together quick with parts I had on hand I am selling this one locally for $85 and this is the cheapest price (by far) that any light with this interface (called MELD) has ever been offered for by nearly 50%, get it while you can! Thanks for looking If the admin is reading this post, I've been emailing for over a month now inquiring about becoming a vendor, can someone please get back with me whats required? I'm not looking for banner advertising (at least not till I know how much business this site will bring), all I want is to be able to sell my branded items here. Thanks.
  13. I have seen a few different repo spotter cars with a similar functioning but cheaper system of window mounted cameras but this was without a doubt the exact make/model of system used by Franklin County and freeway enforcement CPD cruisers. If I see it again I will get a picture of it. At first coming down the street I thought it was going to be a GPS/mapping car but it was the license plate reading equipment, not regular cameras.
  14. Has anyone seen one of these around? It's got normal license plates and a normal looking guy driving (I can tell he's not in a uniform threw the dark tint) with the same license plate camera system used in sheriff cruisers around here that have two readers/cameras with built in IR lights mounted on either side of the vehicle looking forward/out (usually mounted on the roof of SUV's or the trunk lid of Crown Vic's). On this Prius its roof mounted. I've seen a few (maybe the same one different times) drive around residential streets scanning plates. Who are they and what are they doing? Are they cops/govt just collecting data or are they private (say a repo firm or bail agent) or cops looking for someone specific? We don't owe anyone any money or have an legal troubles so I'm not worried they're looking for me, I just wonder who would want this info other than police or what someone would use it to do/find/learn and of it is the cops why bother with an unmarked vehicle with such a noticeable system mounted to the top of a white Prius with black windows, not very inconspicuous...
  15. Hey man I wanted to get back to you, we're just not able to take her right now, especially not being fixed but one of my best friends parents run a registered Dotson rescue down in grove city, I've put in a call to them and asked them to get back with me ASAP, if they can offer anything I'll email/PM you ASAP. I know your trying to get her gone today but have you considered having her fixed? It would make her a lot easier to re-home. There are several low or even no cost programs available in the city for rescue dogs (we've had 4 dogs we've rescued/re-homed in the last few years and had them all fixed for a total investment of <$100 combined for surgeries/meds & rabies shots). I know she wants her gone today but that would make her much easier to adopt out on your end, and you could find a potential new owner in the few weeks it would take to get scheduled/recover. good luck.
  16. I'll talk to my wife in the morning, no guarantees but she has been mentioning wanting a small dog (we have 3 large ones that live outside). How is it with other dogs & small kids? Also "never had babies" as in not fixed, or fixed before having babies?
  17. I have a few LNIB spyderco's for sale cheap. Local deals preferred but I will ship. First up a BNIB Manix 2 LW, blade is CTS-BD1, never used or carried. Includes box (but its in pretty poor shape) $55 (Note this color is now discontinued, get it while you still can) http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/1badv8dime/5C650F5F-D2B8-4532-9306-0074A2615151_1.jpg http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/1badv8dime/AFAB771E-6192-4351-88BF-DDF9C707688A.jpg Next up is a very good condition Manbug ZDP-189, the knife just came back from spyderco for sharpening and is in extremely good shape however not actually LNIB, there are no defects or issues at all. $40 note this is a keychain size knife and as such has no pocket clip, it is tiny. http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/1badv8dime/4E4A4E9C-16E8-40ED-A9B9-98C809B71AD7.jpg Please email me dgostlin1@hotmail.com
  18. 14 USGI's are gone but I'm still lookig for pmags. I have a super rare "free Colorado" / "Colorado air drop" pmag in sealed package, 4 remaining USGI's and ammo I can trade, looking to come up with 5-6 more pmags before Xmas break.
  19. I would also trade for a mix of pmag's & translucent Lancer L5's
  20. I've collected 18 USGI 30's, many are OK industries (some people call them "circle K's" cause of their logo), also there's 2 C products steel bodies but all have been rebuilt. About 1/2 of them are stock rebuild's and the other 1/2 are using anti-tilt followers (both magpul and c-products followers from when they reproduced magpul's design before they got sued and shut down for doing that). They have all been stored empty and in with those silicone dry packs in a sealed ammo can, some are painted others have the factory finish, all are in good shape and reliable with strong springs. All are US made. I am converting over to Pmag's (still 30's! Gotta love Ohio!) and I'm lookin to trade some of my USGI's for PMAG's, I'm even welling to take a loss and not trade at 1:1 but I'd prefer to field offers and see if anyone's welling to do better than 2:1, especially on the anti-tilt ones since I've really got alot in these. I would be very happy at 18:12 but again I'm really open to offers here for all or part. I don't really care about what generation of PMAG, the big reason behind it is cause my old kydex gear won't work with my new Pmag's so I'm trying to standardize, not because I have any problem with USGI mags, actually I would still be more than happy with my metal mags but I've gotten pmags for my birthday and just now got some Windows'd pmags for Xmas so I figure I'll breakdown and convert. Please EMAIL me at dgostlin1@hotmail.com to send offers, it doesn't have to be for all 18, I will trade any number of them depending on the offer.
  21. They are considered full brightness for 12 years but there are several people I know of who report visable light output for over 15 years. In a firearms sight application (where only the end is visable) 12 years is a pretty good figure to go by but when you can view them from the side they will still be putting out light much longer. Give me a few days to get with my supplier and see what can be done about a group buy. When i purchase them they are bare tritium vials, i use them in a few different applications, i actually extrude the acrylic tubes around them. Angry bird, PM incoming.
  22. Nope, just as you arnt required to have any sort of license to purchase firearms "night sights" or tritium containing watches... The amount of radioactivity in them is so small unless you break the vial open in your mouth while yoir inhailing your not even going to get a measurable dose of radiation. The amount of H3 (tritium gas) in the 2x12mm vial is 0.102 cubic mm.
  23. Yes the ones in that link are quite close to these however mine are round, just so your all aware that pic is very overexposed, no tritium looks like that, it just isn't possible, if you wanted a comparative output measurement it's less light than comes from a cell phone screen, I would guess its around 0.1lumen.
  24. I do a lot of work with trit vials and I have 2 spare key chains, I made these just to get a feel for the process so they're experiments for me, as such they're not decorative or jewlery quality, they are however well constructed and hold up very well. The one I keep on my keys has held up to everything I've done to it and still looks good. Both are Ice blue, one is a 1.5x5mm and the other is 2x12mm. The larger vial is encapsulated in a 6x20mm clear acrylic rod and the smaller is in a 6x12mm acrylic rod. I can not post pics, its very hard to take pics of trit's and I don't possess the equipment it skills to do so. They give of quite a bit of light for what they are, it's NOT like a gun sight that you only see the end of, you can see the larger one in the light, the smaller one really only shows up in the dark. These can be attached to things as a locator or just carried on your keys cause they're cool. These are not perfect, in both of them the vial is slightly offset in the acrylic rod. THEY CAN NOT BE REMOVED or harvested from the acrylic. The smaller one is $30, the larger $45. If you really want I can email a pic (I can't host from my phone over cell, no home ISP) but you won't be able to see the glow or even the color, they look clear with the actual vial looking white in the light. If your interested or you'd like a pic PM me your email and I'll send the best photo I can. The trit vials in these are brand new, produced sometime after 8/2012 but that's the best date I have, I wast supplied with exact production dates and my supplier (in Korea) doesn't have that info, I've asked. I can also get almost any size bare vials but I don't have any on hand and there is a [quite large] minimum order. If that's something your interested in let me know and I'll see what I can do about putting in another order sooner than I planned. I can get green, yellow, Ice blue, white, pink, dark blue, orange, red and purple (in order of brightest to dimmest).
  25. My ex wife was home schooled from 6th grade on, not ECOT, a very well organized group of 5-6 students with (from what I remember) 3 or 4 actually trained educators. She was very book smart and knew her shit but not even Devry would accept her "diploma". She went on to attent OU but before she was aloud to attend class she had to go threw their GED classes and pass the GED test. A homeschool degree be it ECOT or something better just won't be accepted as equal to a GED, let alone a real high school diploma.
