  1. Less rules the better off you are, easier to tech.
  2. Just make it a 28" diameter or less class, alot more cars fit this criteria and the import guys can be included.
  3. When I turned 35 I finally got married and have a family, a year later I had my son, later that same year I was told I'm going to most likely be dead within 3 years being diagnosed with ALS (LOU GEHRIGS) after struggling with it for 3 years prior. Shitty hand to be dealth but it adds alot of clarity to life. Get healthy, enjoy life more, make your life simpler (get rid of the extra BS). I sold off the hardcore racecar, then sold off 4 others just to cut back. I travel more, nothing over-the-top but fun stuff for me and the kids. Don't watch the news or bullcrap tv shows. Life is too hectic, slow down and relax. I still consult and tune on a few car for other people plus I still have my own stuff I dabble with but I'm not traveling all over to do it. Cars/racing always charges me up. I honestly feel great and my mind is clear, although my arms aren't as good as they once were I'm still getting things done. Throw the cell in the trash while your at it.
  4. Love them AMC's, I have a 1967 American hardtop, 1967 American 4door and a 1967 American station wagon.' have fun

  7. Do any of the covers come with the block? Can you measure the bore for me?
  8. Have any proof to that? We run a 632" TS car and have accidentally only ran 4 bolts before and nothing happened to it. fwiw. As long as the dowels locate it properly and you have 5 properly torqued bolts its not going anywhere. If you crack a bell odds are there is torsional twisting going on, get an ultra-bell its cheap insurance if your cracking the bell.
  9. Why bother with the other 2 bell housing bolts? They're not needed and will not affect performance/reliability of the tranny.
  10. If your looking to save a buck on a convertor I have 2 different ones for sale that would match-up nicely with your combo, one Coan other B&M. pm me if interested.
  11. Call R&L Carriers, they are generally the cheapest and they can give you some tips packing it.
  12. 5.3 block can be bored to stock ls1 bore size safely.
  13. Maybe the next one, he's already talking about getting something new and whatever that means.
  14. Fiero, sounds like a nice combination for a street/strip car, clean up that intake a little and your fine. If you can swing it, get a HVH SuperSucker 1" spacer and that will add some needed plenum. 4.11's would be my choice for your set-up on gears. 750dp holley would be ideal, cheap/easy rebuild kit it and your racing. 2nd choice 750vac sec with an adjustable spring kit.
  15. Your fine at 9:1, if your sweating that run a thicker head gasket to lower the compression.

  17. Very nice, love the look!
  18. What valve body do you have in it? Some automatic shift kit valve body mods will do that if you don't start out in 1st when going thru the gears or get up to a higher rpm before shifting. I have one that does the same thing (shift kitted forward pattern valve body with detent cable removed and no kickdown linkage). When my wife drives it she generally comes back yelling at me telling me something broke in it.
  19. Add me, 6.0 in my 1994 Camaro
  20. A tubular one I bent up for it.
