Lol thanks...:masturboy: Think I might remember that one. Yep.. I thought about that route, but I could reach my goals staying supercharged. Any more than 400-450 whp in a FWD car is pointless anyway unless you're running DR's all the time.

In all honesty, the gauge cluster is perfectly fine. It takes about a day to get used to it, and then you don't ever even notice that it's not in the traditional location. People made too big of a deal out of it. I actually kind of prefer it in the center now. The reviews were not good for the ION because the gauges were "awkwardly placed," but yet in the Toyota Yaris, it was "cool and quirky."

There's a guy with a Cobalt SS/SC that went 12.007 @ 118 on slicks on 70 fewer hp than what I am expecting. I'm hoping to break that and get in the mid-high 11's. I know it's not got the prettiest face, but it's stock body kit, and it was 18k brand new... Hard to say no to that cheap price. And man, I wish it was RWD/AWD...

I used to live in a couple different spots in Tucson, once I had an apartment on North Oracle near Miracle Mile, and the second apartment was on the east side on Turquoise Vista, close to 22nd and Kolb. ^This. Buy Mexican insurance on the American side near the border town like Nogales. You can buy it for the day/week, whatever. Mexico is a hotbed for stolen cars and other damage to your car. If you don't buy this insurance before you cross the border, then any and all damage/loss/theft is your responsibility. I am pretty sure it's Rocky Point. The Mexican name is Puerto Pequeno or something like that. It's going to be on the upper part of the Baja California peninsula, should be on the east side of the bay IIRC. Nice place, resort town...

I assume you're talking about Rocky Point? That's a great place for a weekend getaway, I've been there several times. Just make sure you buy some mexican car insurance before you ever think about going across the border.

I used to live in Tucson, and went to Phoenix and have been to the Pavilions quite a few times. It is a completely different type of car scene out there.

This will also work with the Droid X2. Free bump, GLWS.

I'll try to be there.

I don't know much about sim cards, but I don't think it has a slot for one. It has a memory card slot and that's about it. It was a Verizon phone, so obviously it works well wherever they have service. However, I don't know much about rooting and whatnot. I have a Droid X2, and have been doing some browsing on their forums and there's a lot of stuff you can do as far as rooting and setting up custom preferences for the phone. As far as out-of-country stuff, I don't know. Thanks man!

Bump. Phone dropped to $200 shipped, GPS unit to 90 shipped.
-
Congratulations if you got yours on eBay for $200, but they are worth more than that.

Price on phone dropped to $250 shipped. Price on GPS dropped to $100 shipped.

I don't know what it came with stock, as it didn't come with anything when I received it. When I got my Droid X2 it came with an 8GB if I remember right. But if you're spending the money on a smart phone, then a couple more bucks for a bigger SD card should be negligible. Not really sure what you mean by this. Both items are like new, and work flawlessly. I stated that they are as marked or best offer.

I have a like-new Motorola Droid X, barely used by my uncle for only a couple weeks before he died earlier this year. This has no scratches at all, a screen protector on it, and all the items included when purchased. (To include charger, user manual, product information, original box). This has the latest software update from Verizon, Android version 2.3.3, has never been rooted, and comes with a 1GB microSD memory card. Asking $300 shipped. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/photobucket-1323-1314996916655.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/photobucket-1833-1314996917684.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/photobucket-6034-1314996913901.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/photobucket-1144-1314996912075.jpg Also up for sale is a TomTom 535-T XXL GPS. This has the lifetime traffic updates, the most recent map update, a large 5" touchscreen and comes with the original box, windshield/dash mount, power cord, and all items that originally came with the GPS unit. This has only been used five times. The condition is like-new, with no scratches or cosmetic damage whatsoever. Asking $120 shipped. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/IMG_2572.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/IMG_2570.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/IMG_2569.jpg Items are as marked or best offer. Paypal works best.

I'm in complete agreement with your post.

I do remember reading an article on this a while ago. It certainly makes one think... While it is of course plausible that God could have simplified terms for man's understanding, it is far more likely that man wrote the same because it was man's understanding. If someone (atheist or not) just blurts out Hawking's statements as truth without being cognizant of Hawking's personal views that have been intertwined (as on the "Curiosity" program), then that someone should be given as much credit and respect as a religious fanatic whose views are arrogant, without basis, and cannot be changed. (I used fanatic correctly this time.) I can't tell you how many times I have heard the "outside of time" view. But I understand that's not everyone's view. So it's probably best that we drop it.
-
Can you please elaborate a bit more on this? Not trying to fight here, but I'd like to know where you're going with this. We have specific definitions of time that do not involve movements of the Earth and moon (years, months, weeks, days, hours, seconds...), they are defined by the speed of light and how long it takes to traverse the defined "Planck's length" which is equivalent to 10^-20 the diameter of a proton. This is that law in physics that you said was not there. As I know it is probably beyond the realm of our understanding, how would you propose that all time exist at once? Could God not have said what? That he created the earth, life and stars etc.. in 6 days? Why would he lie about the creation and say it was made in such a short time, when there is such a vast amount of overwhelming evidence to the contrary? Of course Hawking could be wrong, then again we could all be wrong by denouncing the ancient Greek gods. How do we know that all of them didn't exist and that we should all be worshiping Zeus? Hawkings is very clear in his statements, that HE believes in this or that, his own personal beliefs don't allow for an afterlife or a creator. His theory is just that, HIS theory. But personal theory is very different than scientific theory. No offense, but you haven't met many Christians then. This is one of their #1 arguments. It all started back in ~400 A.D. with St Augustine, and is one of the core points of debate in any argument that involves God and time. I can't tell you how many Christian people, religious conversations that I've had that involve this topic specifically.
-
How else do you define time? Whether you're a god or not, our definition of time is still the same - a sequence of events. Plus, God's existence and bringing forth the creation usually means the start of the universe itself. It's only if you believe that happened six thousand years ago or 13.7 billion years ago. This "popular belief" all depends on who you talk to. The majority of Christians that I work with and have dealings with would say that he exists outside linear time. But again, this is not something that could ever be proven.
-
I absolutely agree, there's zero reason for me to put someone down because of their beliefs. For that I am wrong. All I was trying to say is that if a religious person were to be approached with this argument, they would simply say that God exists outside of time, as a way of explaining it away because it is too hard of a subject to explain any other way. In the Genesis creation story, it is specifically referenced in days, and God doing one thing and then another. A sequence of events, no matter how much time passes between events, and no matter how you look at it, is a way to mark time. The reason that people quote "God exists outside of time" was because it was popularized by Saint Augustine and Saint Thomas Aquinas. There is no scriptural references to back this up.
-
Hawkings assertion was that since time did not have a definition before the big bang, then god could not have done anything as there would have been no time for him to do so. This would simply be argued by religious fanatics as saying that "God exists outside of time."
