  1. Still having trouble finding anyone here who demanded apologies from Trump voters? Need more time?
  2. I'm starting to think you don't like me.
  3. Do you need more time to find it? Is there anything else I never said that you've been stewing over for weeks?
  4. I wasn't offended and I didn't think you were posting that solely for my benefit. I agree with the author, and I wasn't posting a rebuttal, but merely what I thought would be a continuation of the discussion. I thought it was an interesting topic but I guess I'll also stop trying to engage with you? I'm always up for a good serious chat but if you're not that's good to know. Likewise.
  5. Seemed like you were trying to start a serious discussion, I responded in a serious manner and you said "point proven" and trolled out, but I'm the one dodging. OK. I don't get you, do you want to talk about things or do you want to troll me?
  6. My challenge to you, Otis -- how do you differentiate between someone who acknowledges that they know very little, and therefore seeks answers in academia, scholarship, and learned expertise, and someone who acknowledges that they know very little, and seeks answers in cultish conspiracy theories? What is the difference between two people who admit their ignorance about, say, how vaccines work, and per your quote, "open themselves to new and important information," only for one to come out the other side trusting in science and the other to come out as an anti-vaxxer?
  7. So firstly, an opinion piece in the Washington Examiner is a rough place to start. For instance, they say: But if you follow the link in that very sentence, it says: and And then as evidence to support their assertion that it's "highly probable" that the US is involved, they cite a tour by a US ambassador that began on January 3rd. Who was president on January 3rd? I have no idea what's going on in Central Asia, but this all feels like recreational outrage. Biden was most certainly not involved given the timeline. If you're more curious than I am about the US foreign policy goals in Turkmenistan and how a natural gas pipeline might fit in, you can start with the United States Strategy for Central Asia 2019-2025: Advancing Sovereignty and Economic Prosperity.
  8. Because she's proud of what a woman of color was able to achieve, and wanted to inspire young girls. The books appear to be more of a passion project and not strictly a source of income.
  9. You're old enough to remember Billy Beer. I'm not, but my understanding is that while Billy Carter was generally regarded as a punchline and an embarrassment, nobody suggested that his pathetic efforts to trade on his brother's name were illegal. It would be different if Jimmy Carter had endorsed Billy Beer. That's against US code: Frankly I think Harris' niece using her picture on T-shirts is a stretch, but ethics lawyers are very much concerned about the appearance of impropriety. Regardless, Meena Harris is a 36 year old lawyer and isn't relying on T-shirt sales to make ends meet.
  10. Has anyone here demanded people apologize for voting for Trump?
  11. About 2 or 3 years ago I had a real bad off at Nelson Ledges. I got the red mist chasing another Miata on Hoosiers when I was running some tired old RC-1s. Took a risk going into T1 trying to close the gap, got loose, and left the track surface at 80mph. It wasn't a race, just an instructor session at a DE. But dammit... I couldn't let him pull away. My ego was at stake. The only reason I didn't total the car or injure myself is because the ground was waterlogged from a storm the day before and I stopped inches from the tire wall. It was stupid. I did a stupid thing to myself. You think everyone there that day roasted me? Do you think they roasted me behind my back? Do you feel the urge to start a thread talking about how stupid I was? There's nothing wrong with saying, "Well that was stupid, but we all make dumb mistakes and I'm glad you're OK now." Normal human response.
  12. It's possible to acknowledge that she made a mistake, a stupid one at that, and still have empathy for her. #normalhumanemotionsareOK
  13. You're the only one I know who watches that shit
  14. You should have your parents ask their Jewish friends what they think of Gina Carano.
  15. Heh, clever use of Yiddish given the context. Nice.
  16. Gina Carano should take a knee during the national anthem to protest cancel culture.
  17. Maxine Waters telling people to harass Trump's cabinet members in DC restaurants resulted in all that? Damn, she's powerful. Y'all should watch your words more about her, there's no telling what she's capable of.
  18. Sure and my turning some laps at GPK is the same as Lewis Hamilton winning 7 WDCs, just not as prestigious.
  19. "Trump officials" != "All Republicans" She said to get up in Trump Officials' faces, essentially defending people harassing Sara "lying twat" Sanders at a restaurant in DC. Which is stupid, and she shouldn't have said it, and she should have walked it back after it she said it. But nobody died as a result of her encouraging people harassing Trump's cabinet members at restaurants, and to the best of my knowledge there were no riots associated with Trump's cabinet dining in restaurants. She didn't make up lies about Trump's cabinet in order to foment dissent against them. Can we put this one to bed because it's clearly not the same thing? Thanks. Let's never mention it again in reference to the Capital insurrection.
  20. Take all the anti-gay voters in this country and round them up into a stadium. Now pick one at random. You have to guess whether this person voted for Trump or Biden. If you guess right you win a dollar. If you guess wrong, your nuts get crushed in the door of a 1973 Jeep Wagoneer while Doug Demuro describes the quirks and features of your swollen nutsack to all of his internet fans. Now, to save your nuts, do you guess Trump? Or Biden? If you guess that this random anti-gay American probably voted for Trump, then you don't actually disagree with anything in the part you bolded.
