question number 1: yes, i'm quite confident i'd beat you. question number 2: i'm not retarded. of course your srt4 would beat me. if you run mid 12's chances are you'll still beat me when i'm supercharged. @beer30: of course i know that 1 second is a gigantic difference. 12.5 being very fast. 13.5 being somewhat fast. i was simply saying that i would have expected sonic to run in between 12.5 and 13.5, therefore beating gary's 13.9. but i do recall in conversation with sonic that his 254rwhp was with a boost leak. he said after having it fixed he would expect over 300rwhp for sure...in which case he would run between 12.5 and 13.5. having supported my arguement, i don't think its too far of a stretch to say that his stang (no boost leak) would be a "super stang" a terminator cobra runs a 12.9. no one here would dispute that a cobra is an AWESOME car. having the potential to run equivalent to a cobra with only six cylinders seems pretty super to me. especially having driven my car completely stock and feeling how slow it was (prob would have run a 17). to go from 17 to 13 is pretty freaking super in my opinion. according to beer a 1 second gap is huge in drag racing. so multiply huge times 4 and what do you get?

i was just saying stock srt4 (~13.8) and he ran a 14.1? that seems fishy to me. i've seen supercharged v6's with rear end and exhaust on youtube and they run between 12.5-13.5. and they make it over 300rwhp.
-
a. that is short hand for supercharged mustang. b. his supercharged 3.8 i would expect to run in the high 12's. a 2010 mustang gt wouldn't make it below 13.5. (stock terminator runs 12.9) it would also beat pretty easily an srt4 too....so...............

i'm goin to the track a ton next summer. i'll let you know when i'm going so we can meet up. have you taken your super stang? what have you run?
-
yes lol. long time away. and i see the boxes of all the parts sitting in my room everyday lol
-
well i'm working. and making money lol. and plus i'm a full time freshman at Ohio State. but i anticipate the project to be done by the end of june...its just kind of on pause until school's out and money is made.
-
awesome, thank you.

anyone know? can i use my SCT Tuner to hold a dyno tune?
-
okay. thanks for the advice. i kinda felt that way as well. best to just do it on my car. also will my SCT Tuner be of any use? like can the tune be put on it and used to upload to my car?
-
okay i see. and about the tune?
-
also. i like the idea of getting the chip and tune, but i already have an SCT Tuner so that would hold the tune right? and i have a different exhaust set up than him. and i kinda want the 310lph pump. so doesn't this mean i'd need a different tune anyways?
-
i don't know a whole lot...so...why does it make it safer? like what am i risking with the stock pump.
-
i wanna buy it. but i don't have all of the $ yet. and i'll need to sell the $1000 in parts i already have. the price is perfect. pm-ed you. you don't have the 310lph fuel pump. how was it for you without it? did you or brian notice any problems because of it? anyone else have an opinion?
-
ya i'm going for a 310 lph, and i knew you meant ford gt. not mustang gt. this whole setup should work out really well.
-
hahahahahahaha i've seen similar 4.2's. thanks for the well wishes monkey bone. i am very excited. i've seen the v6 block hold up to 350rwhp without much problem. i've seen it at 600rwhp but that had all kinds of internal work and stuff done. sonicstang03 on here was hitting 260rwhp with a boost leak and he has this setup. after getting it fixed he's expecting to be atleast 300rwhp. i expect that as well for me. killjoy thanks for the tip. i was considering getting this 310lph fuel pump from VMP tuning. http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=6&parent=21

niiice kenne bell would be awesome. super six motorsports sells an adapter that bolts to the lower intake, as gearhead explained. i just had to/have to buy alot of cobra parts. air intake ,90mm maf, throttle body and intake plenum. as well as 39lb injectors. and its nice that it fits cuz i don't want to shell out hundreds of $ for a freakin hood.

thanks for the advice all. mike is also very convenient....just down the road from me. i google searched his name after i had my rear end done and read bad things...but i've known several people who've been there and had awesome experiences, including myself, so there's a high chance i'll go back. i was just slightly worried having read bad things. but who knows they may not even be true. if someone who works at IPS says go back to Mike then i think i can trust Mike lol.
-
No offense meant to you or Mike Ward. I apologize. Mike did my 4.10 gears and LSD for me and did really well and did a great job working with me. I was just looking for some sort of discussion on where would be good to go, etc.
-
thank you. pm-ed. any information on other places is still appreciated.
-
i appreciate the advice. i was thinking that i would get an SVT Focus 310lph fuel pump. i will definitely keep you and "Mobile Chassis Dyno" in the forefront of my mind. any estimate of how much it would cost me for install and/or tune? i wouldn't hold you to it or anything. I'm just curious. (i understand if you'd prefer not to though).
-
I suppose i may have jumped the gun posting this, but i do not yet have everything. Its not going to be hard for me to get everything, but because of my funds i will not have everything until next summer. Everything i listed above is everything i plan on buying. I wanted to get some information on how much everything would cost so i can know how much money i need to make ahead of time.

Where should i take my 2001 3.8 V6 Mustang to have an Eaton M112 blower from a 03-04 Cobra installed? and tuned? The install will include Adapter, Blower, Plenum, Throttle Body, Cold Air Intake, MAF, 39lb fuel injectors, 310lph fuel pump, air charge temperature sensor, water/meth kit, and secondary idler. I've been told Mike Ward Racing and IPS are good. But i've also heard really bad things about both. I would appreciate suggestions on either of these places or any other place. Also an estimate of how much you think install and tune will cost at these places. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. i've seen 3.8's run tens as well. it takes alot. with every product supersixmotorsports offers and a supercharger i could probably run 10s. but i don't have that much money so i'll stick with the low 13's that i'll be running next summer lol . Gary (pontiacfreak142) already told me about SonicStang03 and i've already been pm-ing him all day lol.
-
hey whatsup man, figured i'd run into you here.
-
Thanks. I've seen some nice turbo v6's. I decided to go supercharged because it seemed less expensive but equally as awesome (if not more awesome). i should have all the parts for around $2000 plus install and dyno tune.
