sounds pretty nice. didn't realize it was the sti engine, thats pretty awesome. You definitely made the legacy go from no where near my list to definitely under consideration. same for the mazdaspeed 6, i'm really liking it and the legacy.
-
i like the ones with black wheels a lot better....but the fact that its a hatch just makes me like it alot less. lol. Also, i make the picture sweet. i zoomed in and saw myself in the window on the fifth floor of Morrill Tower.
-
Wow, thats high praise. Does it pull hard. Like, does it feel fast? or is it aimed more to be luxurious than sporty?
-
whats that? turbo cobra?
-
Bumping every other day. BUMP!
-
Holy shit i just realized thats on campus! My current home is in the background! Morrill Tower!!!
-
PS i made that list myself...nice to see the cars in order of how fast they are
-
Hahahahaha wow. seems like theres a big mazdaspeed crowd. The 6 sounds really nice to me...i don't really like hatches...no offense lol and i forgot the solsitce! it is a pretty nice looking car indeed! added to the list.

I am awesome: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Omally23/times.jpg ****Not a stock Supra. Average numbers with basic mods. Exhaust, tune, etc. **from 1990-1993 only 296hp. Same #’s as Dodge Stealth.

finally someone +1'ed the Legacy. How do you like yours? Positives and negatives?
-
ahh i see. i did not know this. Makes me think i may have to shy away from the 9 when it comes time to buy a car. even when i have money saved i'd rather stay <$20,000
-
On cars.com, there are Evo 9's with 40,000 miles for $25,000. There are 2009 Cobalt SS Turbos with less than 10,000 miles for $20,000. Why this price discrepancy?
-
Interesting. Thanks for the info. I thought for some reason that it wasn't quite on the same level, but its still nice. Sexy.
-
Thanks for the advice There seems to be a common theme throughout this thread: Euro's are awesome but quite pricey, too much so. Not alot of Domestic turbos, but the SRT-4 and Cobalt SS are great options. 5 dudes want me to turbo a mustang. Everyone agrees that the Japanese cars are the best, in particular the Evo's, also quite a few supporters of the Subies. For some reason i brainfarted making this list and forgot he Evo X. Just as good as 8 and 9 right?

I appreciate your advice:thumbup: My 3.8 only has 75,000 miles on it, and i've taken AMAZING care of it since i got it at 55,000. I am going to milk this car until i can milk it no more, most likely. My goal is to save until i have enough to just pay everything down. Or take out a loan on 25% which i'd already have enough money to pay off. I'm at the end of my freshman year now and doing well in school. 3 years from now i'll graduate with a degree in Finance (already accepted into the major) and start looking for a job. Once i get that job, Car time!...that is with the money i already saved, not money i anticipate making. I think your advice is great, and intend to follow it. I just said that to make SRT quit hatin on me. I WILL have one of these cars, maybe even one like his. @Gearhead, i love Mustangs. But i really love cars with turbos. Small, fast, and good on gas.
-
I choose fast and reliable. Call me a ricer if you like, but last time i checked a car making over 400whp is not ricey. BOV's sound awesome. If you don't think so, you are a strange man. My parents pay for me to go to school, so all the money i make is for me to choose what i want to do with it. I make 6000 a summer. So 2 summers and selling the stang is a nice load of cash. Realistically, i'll spend some of what i make. But still. 2-3 summers from now i'll be getting just what i want. Quit hatin on me.
-
Agreed times 1000000. I just need something different anyways. Something faster, better on gas, cooler sounding (BOV's). Something different and better.
-
Haha well i see your signature there Mr. A4 owner. I assumed the biggest thing they had going against them was $$$. I enjoy class and comfort, but i think i enjoy sport and speed alot more lol. So because of the reasons you listed, i will tend to shy away from the Audi's and VW's.
-
A casual poll from which to gain knowledge and insight into people's opinions of all of these cars which i contemplate buying sometime in the next few years. I won't be seriously considering buying a car until next summer. For now, i just like to know about whats out there, what peoples opinions are of them, etc.
-
word. Anyone have anything to say for any of these?
-
ya that is beasty as hell. I'm gonna have to agree that MattsV8 is incorrect. If i put a twin turbo kit on my car as well as investing a few thousand more on forged internals and a 4.2 crank, my car would only be around 450rwhp (this is just ballpark). You can get SRT-4's and Evo's over 500awhp with the same amount of money, and they're lighter too, therefore quicker. Also, you can DD a 500awhp Evo or SRT-4, the mustang would be getting <15mpg
-
Thank you both for the advice. I've come to find what you've both said is true depending on the car. I can't remember if i said it in the original post or not, but i'm not looking to take a slow car and make it fast (which would be a recipe for disaster like you said). Also, i don't want to take a nonturbo car and put a turbo on it. I want one that is supposed to be turbo. agree^^^^^^ Thanks everyone for the input, i really appreciate it, the list is thriving and fully update.

One of my good friends dated an exchange student from Germany this summer. They fucked all the time. Her "host mom" was super religious, didn't believe in birth control so wouldn't let the girl take it. My friend pulled out everytime, but no other protection. When she went back to Germany at the end of summer, they kept talking, three months later, three missed periods. Next month the period comes, friend is relieved, supposes it was just a fluke. She calls him today (yesterday technically) worried and crying. Begs him to come to Germany next week. He asks over and over why, whats wrong? whats going on? Finally she replies "i really was pregnant, and i won't be by the end of next week, i'm having the baby." Friend was flabbergasted, admitted to me that he actually started crying. After about a minute, she exclaims APRIL FOOLS! and starts laughing. He was pissed lol.

ya soooooooo much money. i'm saving up my money for awhile till the right car hits me. Its gonna be 2 years probably....but if i don't see the right one i'll just keep saving....and saving...and saving... so who knows maybe the stang will keep me satisfied long enough till i can save for a Supra. My girlfriends dad has an Evo 9, lots of mods. Its prob #1 on my list at the moment. Followed by SRT-4 and subies. How's the S4 pricewise? on cars.com all i see is 4.2 V8. can someone point me to some S4's with the 2.7tt
-
What year Audi S4 has the 2.7tt? when i searched cars.com for used S4's they only had 3.0 V6 and 4.2 V8
