  1. Well i know i want black rims, but I'm somewhat undecided which would either look good, or which ones would flow with the car that i own. im also deciding on if i should go with all black, black with a machined/color lip. I saw this one model by 5Axis called the X5-F they look alright but dont know if it would look well on my car. Any suggestions would help. heres a pic of my car again for those who havent seen it yet. The bolt pattern is 5x100 and i can fit up to 19" and 20 is cutting it close due to a stupid flange in the center of the back 2 wheel wells

  2. pts are gay.. so are neons.....

but there is a 600+HP purple pt cruiser rolling around PA that will do work....

hmm thats PA this is ohio...... but who knows ill either try and out do that one or by then ill be able to afford my dream car:rolleyes:

besided dont you have a neon? or you get rid of it.

  3. Your fresh out of shcool. What made you want to go into the field? Do you want to step your skills out farther then body work, and get into custom fabrications?

What is decent paint work? In your opinion what is your downfall when it comes to paint? What makes your great at body work? Did you get into structural repair training while your were there?

I wanted to get in the field once i started paying attention to all the different custom designs put on to vehicles back when i was 12. Iv always wanted to get into custom fab but i feel it could use some work on since i am new so i figured id try to start at a position i can do. Ill try and put some pics up of one project i did as my first project. it was a 98 ford ranger with bed side damage and I worked on the truck from start to finish at eastland career center. i did the body work, and paint my self and as i was sketchey on my paint abilities it turned out good. we did get into structural repair both class and shop but they did not embellish on it that much. as a group project we worked on a Jeep Grand Cherokee we replaced the driver side upper frame rail. and was expected to finish the jeep past the paint process. My main downfall on my paint skills is primarily my clear coat. Iv done a few good coats already, but every once in a while ill still lay it to wet or dry.

  4. Alright, well I graduated from Lincoln College of Technology(LCT) for collision repair last year in July. Iv tride at every local collision shop and no luck. So if anyone cold help out it would be greatly appreciated. I have a resume with work experience and decent references.

Here are some qualities I can provide: Great body work, Decent paint work, I am experienced in TIG and MIG welding. LCT provided every student with the I-CAR process of collision repair. any questions please feel free to ask.

  5. they told us friday at 1ish that if we felt that it would be unsafe to drive later, we could leave for the day without an occurence, but it would be unpaid time...my sup was walking by and i told him (jokingly) that one of our work at home people had just called me and i told her what was going on, and she asked if it went for them too...he looked at me for a second like "wtf", then i had to tell him i was just fucking with him.

Hahaha wow thats some good stuff.:D

Me personally im getting tired of winter already. I wish my truck was running so i wouldnt have to drive my car.

Oh heres a good site to go off of too. http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?animate=true i use this all the time. id say its pretty dang accurate.

  6. Lowering springs with some quality struts, or adjustable coilovers. Is the suspension basically the same as a Neon?

I couldnt tell you, im looking up on that right now. there are many similarities between the neon and pt as well as differences.

ya shame on me for not doin my homework.:(

  7. Hey heres a question for all of ya... what do think i should do? keep regular suspension parts on it or throw it on Air ride? Love the idea of air ride to lower it to the ground but im thinkin it wont really help that well for drags or AutoX or what ever other event i might try and run it in.

Ill most likely scratch the whole air ride plan and keep it for my ranger, later in life. and put the pt on a racing suspension.

  8. Thanks for the welcomes guys, thought id throw that out.

Ditch the wheels and lower it and they aren't that bad. Sleeper status could be attained easily with that car.

and ya im kinda tight on funds right now. thats what you get workin at fed-ups

    haha

Hey also I graduated from Lincoln College of Technology Last year for collision repair, Kind of looking for a job at some custom shop or anywhere really, I've tried so many places around here I've walked in, called, gave out resumes and still haven't had any luck. So if anyone hears of any openings let me know. I do great body work, I'm a good painter except when it comes to clear coat(need some more practice) and I can weld a little bit. TIG and MIG.

  9. welcome the only thing i can see it needs is lowered they look too much like 4x4s

Lowering, black 19"s blacked out lights, sideskirts to cover up some rockerpanel damage, and repainted. thats about it for the outside. i got a full kit in mind but im not worried about that yet.

PS: is that NTR in your sig? cause i think i saw you at one of the test and tunes.

  10. Do you want to race a stock Mazda3?

Ha sure. you might get me though. these cars are pretty heavy. just let me know when and where so i can take out the back seats(they are removeable) haha.:D but hell, win or lose i love racing just being part of it just gets to me. its like my crack :D

  11. +rep because i know how it feels to have a turbo car that makes pretty much 0 hp lol...my daily is stock turbo'd and is rated 215hp at the crank lol

haha thanks, this i believe is at the wheels but not much difference, soon its gonna be in the 300s, when i can afford it.
