  1. borrowed a couple of GoPros for the local event yesterday... Good fun! In car video... Same run with the newer camera on the top of the vehicle... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/IMG_6637_zpsb03a9537.jpg
  2. What are you trying to improve over your existing 16" rifle?
  3. Here's a good way to get into reloading... http://www.armslist.com/posts/4281714/dayton-ohio-reloading-for-sale--lee-50th-anniversary-reloading-kit
  4. Just do some searching for "etched K98 bayonets" or "k98 parade bayonet" or "fake etched K98 bayonet" and you should find plenty of information and similar pieces. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Not Brian seemed to like the look of it... It's not a piece that a German or WWII collector would buy. If I had it, I'd put it on eBay with a low starting bid ($5) and see what happens. You might get a couple of people who like the look and you might get a good price for it. I just saw a $15 WWII Finnish M91/30 sling sell for $122 on eBay!! Sometimes people have more dollars than 'sense.'
  5. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is a fake/fantasy piece. Post war etchings on these K98 blades are fairly common. Sometimes they called them "SS parade bayonets" and large quantities of them starting selling out of the UK back in the early 70's. It's a shame, really, as the bayonets would be worth more today if they weren't messed with.
  6. I'm a big fan of CZ rifles but you should have a 1:8 twist for accurate long range (250+yds.) shooting in that caliber. You'll want to stick with the 62gr. and longer bullets.
  7. I buy mine from Widener's Reloading supplies. They have a nice variety and good prices. https://www.wideners.com/itemview.cfm?dir=1020
  8. Here's the ACOG 4x32 on a Tavor for comparison... it's a bit longer than normal because it has the IR filter and killflash on the front of it... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/RangeTest1_right_deployed_zpsk9u4xebm.jpg
  9. If you are patient and can up your budget to the $600 range, you might be able to pickup a used ACOG 4x32.
  10. Wow. This is good news! Very surprising result. New ban on AR15 rifles - fail Attack on business funding for gun retailers and manufacturers - partial fail Ban on popular ammo for AR15 - fail Wonder what their next move will be? Universal Background checks/National Gun registry? I doubt that could happen either if they aren't even willing to stick their necks out to ban the M855 ammo.
  11. Super Saber and SSA-E arrived today. Thanks for the fast shipping! Geissele sure does make quality pieces. Top notch. The Super Saber makes a nice improvement over the factory Tavor trigger! Can't wait for some nice weather to get it out to the range for a proper trial... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/RangeTest1_right_deployed_zpsk9u4xebm.jpg
  12. One time I met a seller at an abandoned ammunition factory to buy an rare Galil. As I was driving back through the gates on a very overgrown road with branches scraping along the sides of the car, I realized that it probably wasn't the safest situation. I did have my G23 ready to go but I had a large amount of cash and this place was REMOTE. On top of that, it was next to an active military facility where they had a firing range. IF there was anyone around to hear them, they probably wouldn't have thought twice about the sound of gunfire. Fortunately, the seller was a good guy and it all worked out fine. He was the owner of the property and wanted to meet there so there were no people to get excited at the sight of a scary black rifle. I would recommend to make the transactions in public parking lots such as Cabelas or any other store that sells firearms. People generally won't give a second glance in those locations.
  13. They also called this the "Medusa" because if you looked upon it you would die from radiation exposure. http://i.imgur.com/9fqbBCB.gif

Of those two choices, go with the Yugoslavian PAP. Unless you are a collector, and care about the fine details of each part, you will only be paying more for the Arsenal name. The quality isn't really any better and the customer service from Arsenal if you do have a problem is not good. I own a lot of Kalashnikov rifles from all over the World and in many different calibers and this is how I'd rank them as far as quality: 1) Finnish Valmet M76, M62 (.223, 7.62x39) 2) Israeli Galil (.223 or .308) 3) Polytech Legend series with milled receiver (7.62x39) 4) Yugoslavian M70 (Mitchell Arms imports 7.62x39 and .308) 5) Norinco varieties (.223 and 7.62x39) If you don't mind shelling out the cash, the preban factory AK rifles are much nicer than the stuff being produced today.
  17. Yes, in certain areas. They couldn't get AR15 rifles banned so they are trying to reduce the ammo supply.
  18. It's just another incremental attack on your rights. What's next? Lead core? It's bad for the environment. You shouldn't be allowed to shoot lead core bullets and pollute the environment. Oh, darn, you can't have bullets made of other materials either.
  19. This is true but unfortunately M193 prices and availability will be impacted. M855 surplus makes up fairly large part of the surplus 5.56 ammo supply. Without it, demand will increase for the M193. I expect 5.56 prices to creep up to the .55-.75/round range in the next few months.
  20. Does anyone collect SKS rifles? I'm not interested in modified examples, just originals... Post some photos! Here's one to start...1957 Tula SKS45 http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/SKS45%201955_56/IMG_2261_zps2c211c9f.jpg
  21. I need a Gen2 Super Sabra trigger pack for my Tavor. Any idea on availability and price?

  24. FOR SALE - matching numbers Romanian M44, caliber 7.62x54R The M44 is a Russian designed carbine but was made by several other countries. Romania made them for only two years and they are fairly uncommon. Matching numbers examples are very uncommon and most usually have mis-matched bolts for some reason. Cleaning rod is missing but easily replaced for about $10-$15. $180. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/M44/R0_zps8005e3c1.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/M44/IMG_7047_zps5c79746b.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/M44/R1_zps6bb81850.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/M44/R2_zps1e77e96a.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/M44/R3_zps7c080bb6.jpg
