Only in the States that have gun registration. I suspect I'm "preaching to the choir," but any type of gun registry is a bad thing. I'm sure there are plenty of gun owners who may not agree, and even others that might actually think it's a good idea - it's not! There are far too many people in this Country that want to see guns banned altogether. They're first task is to locate them. What starts as an seemingly innocent registration requirement can easily turn into a confiscation scenario.

They won't attempt this until there is a National Gun Registry. That is the first critical step towards confiscation.

This is a test case for them. Incrementally, they will ban all firearms.

Might be because my targets are smaller. I have the 5" circles and squares. 3-4 shots with a .308 at 100 yds and the cables were done.

Widener's has good prices on AR500 steel. I've been shooting at the same targets for many years, now, mostly with mild steel core 7.62x54r. It barely knicks the stuff. After each range trip I simply re-apply some flat white latex house paint. The trick to these targets, though, is how you hang them. The plates usually come with holes in them, but the problem is that when bullets hit the target and splatter, the hot metal will tear through steel bolts and cables very quickly. I ended up having to weld chain links on the back of the targets to hang them. This keeps the attachment points behind the "plane of destruction."

You do know that much of it comes from Russian, right? This stuff is likely to skyrocket given the situation in the Ukraine and Obama's threats of sanctions and trade restrictions. If I were you, I'd stock up on 7.62x54r and 7.62x39 as you probably won't see significantly lower prices ever again.

I don't know if I'm going to mess with this one. Haven't decided, yet. Cleaned up, this isn't really an uncommon rifle. It probably has more historic and monetary value if left as is.

This 1903 Mark I, after being rebuilt by the Rock Island Arsenal, was purchased through the DCM in 1949 for $15. It's been in a preservative grease ever since! Still has the original shipping box and paperwork, including the canceled money order used for purchase! You may want to consider some type of older military training rifle. Two of the most accurate .22LRs that I've ever owned were these: The most accurate was this ERMA .22LR. It was a training rifle for the K98 Mauser and had the same weight and features. Unfortunately someone sporterized it and cut off the front part of the stock where the barrel band was. This one was a trainer for the British SMLE rifles and still had the original stock disk indicating it was from the O.T.C = Officer Training Corps, Junior Division M.H.S = Mill Hill School. These rifles have the same weight as the .303 caliber version but are single shot instead of magazine fed. Remington Golden bullets are not waxed. They are gilded with brass (hence the "Golden") to avoid having wax. The American Eagle brand in the red boxes works great in my Ruger 10/22 but is single shot in the Advantage Arms .22LR conversion for my Glock.

I haven't purchased any of the Golden bullets since they were about $13/550 rounds so maybe the quality has decreased since then? I hope not.

Any Remington Golden bullets? I haven't seen those in quite a while. There the only inexpensive rounds that will cycle my Advantage Arms .22LR conversion 100% of the time.

It's not exactly redundant, it's to ensure that the trigger resets properly. I know some have had success removing it, but some haven't. I haven't tried removing it, myself, though. I really don't mind the heavier trigger as it still has a very nice feel.

I'd get the SCAR but that's just because AR15 rifles are not very interesting to me.

The Tavors are quite nice and easy to shoot. The biggest complaint with them is the trigger, but you get used to it very quickly. This is the first bullpup rifle that I really enjoy shooting.
