  1. Return it to the place where you purchased it. If they don't recycle used oil, you shouldn't buy new oil from them.
  2. Ticks are all over this year! Not sure why, but I've already removed one from my son and the neighbor is finding them on their kids just from playing in the grass. Never had this problem before in the same area. My grandmother who lives at the opposite side of the city found two ticks on her cat last night. Very unusual.
  3. Ahhh...yes that's a completely different animal. MUCH less recoil. Good idea going with a caliber you already have, too. Are you just looking for a different rifle in that caliber or have you already decided on the PTR1? Another very nice rifle in the 7.62x39 caliber is the Czech VZ58. Milled receiver, completely different firing mechanism, smaller and lighter (1 full pound!) than the AK47/AKM. Czechpoint USA sells nice examples. You can get them in several configurations including a very compact folding stock. Great, reliable shooters and highly underrated... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/VZ%2058/IMG_0587.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/VZ%2058/P1010062.jpg Select fire examples in action... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/VZ%2058/zalohy.jpg
  4. The PTR1 has much more felt recoil than the M1A. Neither is that bad, though. Maybe you weren't holding it correctly? It's not uncomfortable if you are holding it correctly. If you were holding it correctly, and you thought it had too much recoil, buy an AR15 instead. The 7.62x51 is a powerful cartridge!
  5. The M1A is very nice, too, but quite a bit more expensive. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/M1A/IMG_1150.jpg
  6. For about the same or a little less money, you can get a DSA built STG 58 (Austrian FAL). More accurate, and just as heavy! http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/stg58/P1010005.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/stg58/bipod.jpg
  7. AND reduces weight. This guy deserves some respect since he did a proper intro with good photos.
  8. There is no "exploding issue" to worry about with the Glock - at least not anymore than any other firearm. Use quality ammo and you'll be fine. The CZ guns are very nice, too. Those Czechs know how to make fine weapons!! Ammo, too...
  9. I hope you live in a remote area!! lol.
  10. My friend has a M4 style upper from LWRC and it's very nice. They have a good reputation for quality.
  11. I happen to know 5 different people who have won the lottery. None of the jackpots were that big, but all all but one were substantial. None of these people went bankrupt, nor did their lives change that much. They were all pretty conservative people, however, and certainly weren't wondering how they were going to be able to pay their utility bills. The woman who won the smallest jackpot out of these 5 is only getting $40,000/year (after taxes) for the rest of her life. She continued working at her factory job and was leading a pretty normal life last I saw her. One guy still lives in the same house, and you would never know that he was a multi-millionare. He has a couple of new cars and one toy car and that's about it. Another guy quit his engineering job and traveled/partied for about a year before realizing that he'd soon be dead if he kept it up. He then started a small but successful design consulting company and lives a comfortable, but fairly normal life. The other two guys split the same jackpot as the last and are also engineers working for the small design company. Normal guys.
  12. Ammunitiontogo has .380 in stock and does not limit quantities.

  14. If you buy a weapon for protection, just make sure that you have easy access to it if someone busts in unexpectedly AND that it's not in plain sight so that it doesn't end up in the hands of the criminal. http://www.gunsandammo.com/content/the-home-defense-shotgun http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3197/is_n3_v37/ai_12462187/ http://www.learnaboutguns.com/2008/03/30/selecting-a-gun-for-home-defense/ Video cameras - that are visible to the would be intruder - are a fantastic deterrent.
  15. I went with the MA9222, "Loaded" version. I didn't feel like waiting for 6 months (or more) directly from Springfield so I found a NIB rifle on Gunbroker.
  16. Plain stock Mini Coopers kick A$$ in H Stock with a skilled driver - or used to anyway.
  17. How did he get it titled in the US???
  18. The M1A is a fantastic battle rifle. They aren't cheap, but it's money well spent. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/M1A/IMG_1150.jpg
  19. Thanks for the warm welcome. How long does it take to get access to the forum?
  20. I'm Jeremy and a motor vehicle enthusiast from Columbus. I currently live a couple hours North, but head down to Columbus on a regular basis. I suspect that I may have already met some of the members on here at the local SCCA OVR region Solo II events. Here's some pictures of my autocross cars... 1996 PGT (retired) http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1996%20Ford%20Probe%20GT/nwor_10_12_03_133.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1996%20Ford%20Probe%20GT/nwor_vs_detroit.jpg 1993 MR2 Turbo modifications include: Tein Super Street coilovers w/pillowball mounts, boost controller, cold air intake, Brullen exhaust, upgraded intercooler fans http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/DSC_13991.sized.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/DSC_0065.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/wmr_0116.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/Jeremysm2_columbus.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/IMG_3862.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/Interior.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/Ap2005.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1993%20Toyota%20MR2%20Turbo/afterTein3.jpg
