  1. Overturning the machinegun ban will never happen, unfortunately. I predict the outcome will be just the opposite, with even stricter rules, possibly not allowing trusts to own NFA items at all.
  2. Recent (1989) Russian surplus, 7.62x54r from Novosibirsk (LVE) factory 188. Good ammo!! $109 shipped for 440 rounds. http://www.ammoman.com/762-x-54r-russian-surplus-148-grain-fmj-spam-can?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=9ab8788d0e-NL_10_7_14_4%3A30pm&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_bb69282d75-9ab8788d0e-50101265
  3. Ended up selling for $230 on Gunbroker!
  4. Make sure you get a pepper spray that contains CS, as well. Some people are not affected by capsaicin alone.
  5. pressure mat connected to one of these... http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100907023850/deadliestfiction/images/d/df/Claymore2.jpg I hate thieves.
  6. This is the banned, recently re-classified "armor piercing pistol ammo". It's not really armor piercing, but it does have a steel core. Great shooting Russian military ammo for your AK74 or 5.45x39 toys. $400 / crate (2160 rounds) $205 / spam can (1080 rounds) http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1392_zps63f41e5b.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1394_zps94462a43.jpg
  7. Nice, original condition 1920's commercial Luger made by DWM. All matching excpet for magazine. Bore is beautiful and it shoots great. Chambered for the original .30 Luger. $925 http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1153_zpsfbba8877.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1152_zps715d5fc0.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1151_zpsfb0e0778.jpg
  8. Genuine Russian SVD bipod. Very hard to find in the US! $220 http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1351_zps99329944.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_3124_zpsca5bb9f2.jpg
  9. WWII era black tip armor piercing ammo. Linked in 250 round belts for the 1919 machinegun. Accurate ammo for your 1903 or M1 garand. This stuff used to be known as "poor man's match ammo" and was often used for practice as close substitute for the CMP Match ammo. The ammo is also desirable for it's armor penetrating capabilities. $200 / 250 round can http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1385_zps4f58e05e.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1383_zpsd42c3e42.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/FORSALE/IMG_1381_zps660960e6.jpg
  10. It might be. I didn't chronograph any of those. I'll see if I can find the numbers. It's been a while and I can't remember what the velocities were.
  11. The NATO spec is hotter than the "white box" that you find at Walmart, etc. The typical Winchester white box ammo is NOT hot ammo at all. It was fairly inconsistent and towards the low end of the 9mm ammo that I chronographed. The Magtech ammo was a little hotter and more consistent. Wolf ammo was hotter than both, but not as consistent. The NATO spec Winchester ammo is a bit hotter AND most importantly, it has arsenal primers designed for sub-guns. The commercial stuff is a bit risky in some military style firearms due to the 'softer' (more sensitive) primers.
  12. It's not quite that bad, but not cheap. http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/03/c4/e6/90/knob-creek-gun-range.jpg or....for something different... http://www.armchairgeneral.com/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/flamethrower-rental.jpg
  13. You need some of the NATO spec Winchester OR the IMI. I've used the NATO Winchester in an MP5K and it's flawless. http://www.sgammo.com/product/winchester/50-round-box-9mm-nato-124-grain-fmj-winchester-mil-spec-ammo-q4318 https://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=100001634
  14. The gun show is worth the trip, especially if you like military stuff and are looking for hard to find parts/firearms/ammo. The machineguns are nice for entertainment, too. The sound coming from the miniguns is pretty crazy and can be heard from anywhere on the property. Nothing quite like it. I had seen plenty of minigun videos, but they really don't do a good job of capturing what it's like in person. It's quite violent in the best way. I've never shot machineguns down there but they do have rentals available if you have $$$$.
  15. The Knob Creek show is worth going to...
  16. Some background on the Petro Dollar. While I don't agree with some things in this video, understanding the petro dollar and it's implications will help you understand the mess in the Middle East and the road that our Country has been on for MANY years.
  17. I've been to the Westland show a couple of times in the last couple years. Found some OK items. Not a bad show but it seemed to be more commercial firearms than military stuff.
  18. Whats the show at the Franklin Co. fairgrounds like these days? Is it worth a 3 hour drive? I like WWI to WWII military firearms, primarily. I went to my first gun show at that location MANY years ago and haven't been there in a long time.
  19. Arming and training people in the region HAS worked very well for us in the past and has actually been working for us recently, too. Did you watch the video I posted? Once you get past the goofy background sounds and dramatic effects put in there for the conspiracy theorists, there is some very good information presented and you can come to your own conclusions from a slightly different point of view.

    Safe move

rent a hydraulic dolly and do it yourself?
  21. This is the most concise summary of the reasons behind why the US wants to replace the regime in Syria.
  22. Moving into step 3., now. This is especially important from President Obama's speech tonight... "Across the border in Syria, we have ramped up our military assistance to the Syrian opposition. Tonight, I again call on Congress, again, to give us additional authorities and resources to train and equip these fighters. In the fight against ISIL, we cannot rely on an Assad regime that terrorizes its own people -- a regime that will never regain the legitimacy it has lost. Instead, we must strengthen the opposition as the best counterweight to extremists like ISIL, while pursuing the political solution necessary to solve Syria’s crisis once and for all."

    SOLD

I'll probably regret selling this one, but here it is... 1940 Izhevsk SVT40, arsenal refurbished with a mix of Izhevsk and Tula marked parts. Stock has lot's of arsenal repairs and is solid as a result - no cracks. Lots of inspection stamps on the stock, too. The action fits nice and tight in the stock and the upper handguard is tight with no play. All numbers match (stock, receiver, trigger guard, bolt, bolt carrier, piston, muzzle, etc.) except for the magazine, in typical refurb fashion. The bore is really nice on this one - mirror bright with no pitting. Gas piston and valve are also in excellent shape with no pitting. This rifle is in excellent condition inside and out. Sling is not included. SOLD I may consider trades or partial trades for: Finnish M27 or M28/30, US 1903A3, or other military firearms in original/arsenal refurb condition??? http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1274_zps6b33f3ba.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1247_zpsaa74377f.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1187_zps2adb15bb.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1186_zps12c8a729.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1185_zpsc2d790d8.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1184_zps2e23dfb5.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1160_zps0bfe71f2.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1168_zpsd7be1337.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1172_zps140604db.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1174_zps5f5ea7fe.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1940%20Izhevsk%20SVT40/IMG_1182_zps43ba4b12.jpg
  24. It WAS the best decision at the time. The US goal was to defeat the Soviet Union. Supporting the mujahedin was probably the most important factor in the collapse of the Soviet Union.
