I finally made it to a CR event, had a good time. Thanx for having the event and maybe next time I'll give it a shot at the light. Never done it but I'm building myself up for the first time. Enjoyed seeing some of the rides I see on the CR site and hope to meet more fellas later. Def got a big kick out of Marks Vette, wow. Oh yeah, the stock Camaro too;). Speakin of Camaros, didnt know Scotts Camaro was that quick but I do now. How about Docs Bentley, very cool. I think thats the first time I ever seen one of those in real life. Chris' truck was a cool vehicle to have in the mix I thought. Eriks Javelin sounded really mean and I thought was a nice one to have at any car event. My son had never seen one so that was pretty sweet. Finally, got to love Brian & Gary goin at it, good stuff.

Hey bro Hows your ride comin along? I built this one for Pauls car. It needed new main bearings mainly. However, I rebuilt his spare engine that he bought last year for parts. It is at least 7 years newer and in perfect like new condition. I ported it. I dont usually take pics of exhaust ports, not because I dont want to show em, its just I always forget;). Are you down for the event on the 13th? I hope it dont rain (again). Talk to ya soon

No need to worry about changin the oil, just rebuild it every month!!!

What a goob. Why in the world would they worry about the name used in a local car forum? Am I missing something here? How about Cars N Columbus? I know changin the name isnt whats up really. Docs idea is a solution though.

Not real big on gettin up to early on the weekends but I would like to meet some of the guys and check out the rides. What is it like if you dont show up at 8 or do folks just come anytime between 8-11? I guess what I'm askin is what if you dont come till 9 or 10? I have a feeling I'm gonna regret askin this....

Hey bro I prefer to buy real methanol and mix it w/demineralized water, about 45/55 just to be safe. That is me. Nonetheless, I would recommend you contact McGlaughlin Oil here in Cols.. All youll need is a proper container & I'll be willing to bet they will take good care of you. I'm curious how a parts store could sell 100% Methanol in containers? Pretty sure that is alcohol or a mixture of some sort. Methanol is as we all know dangerous to handle and I find it odd that a store would have it on the shelf, especially when Jegs doesnt even sell it! However, I could be wrong (obviously).

I like the AEM TRUBOOST. Go online and search, you can see some good videos on it from AEM. It is nice how it also works as a guage, like Mojoe mentioned above, and also has the output wires for tuning, but what I really like is how you can control the duty cycle of the solenoid & the wastegate spring rate. I'd look into it, but I'm sure there are others that would be just fine.

Funny you say that. I was lookin at those new pics and I noticed the gap between the nose and the hood. However, in real life I dont seem to notice it really. Though it seems maybe Yasser has, I dont know. For the record, the gaps are pretty consistent. The hood is a Siebon, and seemed to mount up w/no problems. I only changed hoods because I needed the vents & didnt want to cut up the OEM R1 hood. I personally dont like the carbon fiber look but it has grown on me and I'm real happy w/this hood. I am gonna investigate maybe moving it a little closer to the nose, but I'm thinkin it will be to close to the headlight covers then. Maybe they can move foward too. Food for thought.lol.

I'm pretty sure scrap steel prices are up now. I know there is a place where if you can drive it in you get good money & the shredder place is ok too, gas tank and wheels/tires must be removed. My parts guy Matt knows more about it than me. He actually scraps stuff sometimes and has some close friends in the buisness right here in town. Looks like you got a fun project comin up dude.lol. I once dropped a 383 in a 1985 Monte Carlo SS. It was built by Bob Profit. Later my uncle decided to go with ROSS POP UP PISTONS (14.5:1). It was pretty powerfull. Didnt like it when you got on the brakes to stop though. Good luck w/that. Kevin
