Thats a good lookin dog!
My mom had the same issue in her tree about 8 years ago. We called the bee people and they came out and took them all away.. There were ALOT more than they thought though. Because there is a hole in the tree there (Squirrels used to live in it) And probably 4 ft long inside the tree, 8" diameter.
Im not going to lie.. Young and Dumb I shot paint balls at the center... They got pissed.. :dumb:

I check them 2 way..
Visual inspection (rubber torn, loose, etc)
And I have someone in the car rocking it from park, to reverse, to drive. While im outside looking at the mounts.
It was probably 4k$ due to dealership cost of transfercase.
And no it's not that hard to swap, but it still pays a couple hours labor.
Pick up a rebuilt one for under 1000 and pay a little labor and he'll be on his way.
What do they consider "falling apart??" lol.
If he can get a junkyard or used transfer case I can put it in.
From what I found the part number should be a 246GM.
Found a rebuilt one on Craigslist.

Raptor 660's are fun. But after riding on many trails In Ohio there are few state parks that have wide open spaces to wind it out.
I like my 700 utility quad because it has some good get up and go, and 4x4 to get me through the mud.
You'll find on a lot of trails you have to get through mud and water somehow. And when your stuck, you have to get down in it and lift the thing up.
Not to mention you get covered in mud with no fairings. But that's just me. I've been riding dirt bikes my whole life and love riding my 700 king quad. Fuel injected FTMFW
Any of these help?
