  1. Let me rephrase that... Our family shares a house on the water there. So its not "ours", But its a blast there.
  2. You go to springs dock? We have a house on the water there!
  3. One of the worst ford motors made, nothing but issues. We are glad to be getting them out of our fleet at work.
  4. I could build it, I am becoming quite the wood worker..
  5. You're just supposed to know that.. 614-402-3056
  6. I originally referred him to many people but they have all been waiting to see how he handles this, now they know not to use him.
  7. Well time for an update.. We had many issues along the way with Hoskinsons and now that it is over, I highly suggest to NOT use them for any drainage work. To start they left 4 12" catch basins open with no lids for 2-3 months. My daughter who was 2 at the time almost fell in the catch basin by the driveway multiple times. But he had already got his money, so getting him to come back was near impossible. Finally about 6 months later he came out to final grade it. About 1 week after final grading it we had our first rain and I had all kinds of low spots holding water. I asked Bill to return to fix these low spots and he told me I had to pay 1 day labor to fix it. I thought it should be covered under what he was already paid to do but I also wanted it fixed. So I told him to come out, but he wouldn't. Almost a year later I am still fighting some standing water issues due to the grading. All 4 of my catch basins are higher than grade so they will need cut down. The exit pipe at the creek is completely washed out and exposed. Does the water drain? Eventually. The reason I hired Bill was to get rid of all surface water. All water should run to one of the 4 catch basins and go out to the creek. I made a post last night not mentioning his name and he must have felt guilty because he responded in a defensive manor. Needless to say, do not use Hoskinsons for your drainage needs. He has very poor customer service and his work shows for itself.
  8. I feel like it was never disclosed that the parking lot would be a drag race... I mean who in their right mind would lease to someone who will have cars drag racing at 100+ mph in a parking lot.
  9. :dumb: That means it was not locked in....
  10. As of now, this is no longer a thing...
  11. From what I have heard the total they write off IS NEGOTIABLE.. So if they call and say we will give you xxxx amount for it, you negotiate that by saying how rare it is, and how the other ones are selling for xxxx
  12. I have been out of the car world for awhile. What kind of work are these needing? Typical junk dodge suspension?
  13. Red wings last the longest. Just have to replace insoles every 6 months.
  14. They always have deals pop up, but if you call or message them on facebook they will typically give you a better cash deal picked up. I'm very happy with mine and has paid for itself multiple times already.
  15. I wanted to give a review of NAT 10k lb 2 post lift. They are located in Columbus and in Texas. Check out their facebook page for the best deals or https://nationalautotools.com/ I bought the Triumph NTO-10a. The lifts do not come with directions, online they do offer parts break downs. But for the most part it is self explanatory. I have used challenger, rotary, atlas, etc lifts and this compares just as good if not better than most. It is solid one piece side posts, and solid cross beam on the top. Comes with the concrete anchor bolts also. I have used this lift to work on about 6 cars so far with no issues. NAT offers many good deals, and if you message them they will give you an even better cash deal if picking up. The guys that work there are very helpful and knowledgeable on the lifts. I picked my lift up for 1750 Out the door.
  16. Yes they would price match, that means their prices were high.. I have been there dozens of times. Most of the time I do personal business or go to vances..
  17. Yeah they closed down. Their pricing barely beat gander mountain
  18. I have a 60k btu propane torpedo heater I could sell if you wanted that. Works great I just out grew it.
  19. Tractor supply has a 150k btu diesel / kerosene heater that is heating my shop. I have only insulated one wall so far and have an open ceiling and it took it from 21* to 50* in 2 hours.
  20. If it's the style I'm thinking of then it's very simple.
  21. I do more diagnosing at the airport than I ever did at the dealership or private shop world. You just have no idea how in depth big equipment is. I think you put yourself on too much of a high horse. Your a certified tech, there's thousands of them out there, I've been there. I don't understand your view because at least twice per year you post bitching about your career, no money, and wanting a change. Sorry to be blunt about it but like I've said a 100x get out. At the airport we go to all schools oshkosh, rosenbauer, MB, Ohio cat, and more. We diagnose issues daily, we have high dollar Bosch scan tools. We have software for our dedicated lap tops. I cant believe you think that hourly paid mechanics are parts hangers and I think you're afraid of change. I have been in your shoes, and glad I'm out of it.
  22. Highly disagree with this statement. How do you figure a technician job like yours is not available hourly?? Do you think only flat rate paid techs actually diag? You must be blind as to what other shops do. Get out of the damn flat rate world, and stop complaining about it.
  23. In theory it's good to have constant side work. But making side work pay all of the bills is scary man. If you don't have a shop big enough to crank work out and possibly have a rack it won't work. I'm telling you man, find a mechanic job that pays hourly. Get away from the shit dealers.
