  1. I love baitcaster reels. I converted over when I was 15 from a spinning reel. I do carry a couple spinning reels with me when I go along with a couple baitcasters. It all depends on what I'm fishing for and what type of fishing/lures I'm using. I'm definitely looking to get out there myself. I have been a bass guy like most for years but have a blast fishing for other kinds like crappie and walleye. I've actually never caught a carp but have been with my dad when he caught a big one and the fight was awesome. I've been trying to get one ever since. Pavo
  2. I can't find the link at the moment but one of the cast members (Maggie I think) stated in an interview that they knew the second half of the season would be different because Gimple (show head and lead writer) that they were going to do episodes more like an Indy film so they can develop characters better. I am all for character development and in some cases it has worked (see season 3 episode Clear as an example) but a whole half season of it is annoying. That said, I did like last nights episode and the previews for next week were great. The one shown on Talking Dead was creepy as HELL! The music playing in the background and the little girl playing with what may or may not be a walker... sooo creepy. Looks like it'll be a Carol episode but looks like it may be good. There's been too many weeks since Herschel being Tyreese'd since somoene has died. I have a feeling that when that moment or moments come in the final three episodes it's going to be a doozy of a death or deaths. Too much quiet without loss... makes me wonder who is going to (pardon the pun) bite it. Pavo
  3. I see Vitali Klitschko going all M. Bison on Putin and just taking over everything. He will jab Putin to until he is ready to quit and then finish him off with a psycho crusher. All hail Vitali! (kidding) Pavo
  4. I'm a die hard fan but I have to admit I'm starting to lose interest myself. That was a BORING episode. I'm all for character development but come on. That episode could've been told in less than 1/2 hour. It better regain steam quickly or I'm out... Thank goodness the comic dominates still. Pavo
  5. I liked that episode a LOT. Lizzy is off the wall crazy. The bunnies... wow. I'm still not sure though. She's obviously lost it but is that little girl capable of properly dissecting a bunny like Tyrese found? Seems all too obvious. I sense a plot twist coming. Loved how they did that episode. Good payoffs (small ones and a big one) and lots of things to keep it all going. Call me sentimental but I really want Glenn and Maggie to find each other. I'm thinking they may tease the saviors at the end of the season, as a new antagonist is needed, but I can't see Negan coming in even next season. Idk though... Pavo
  6. Episode was ok... I did like the look into Michonne's past. The rest of the epidsode was the comic... just not as good. I didn't expect miracles the first episode back though. Next week will hopefully show more of team prison and where they are. Pavo
  7. I heard an ad over IHeart radio on WNCI for IPS. I was happy to hear you guys advertising normal mechanical work like that. It was a great ad and made your company sound as welcoming to normal (non-horsepower freaks) as it really is. Still can't believe my old 3000GT buddy's company is dominating as you are. I am happy for you and your staff. You definitely deserve it. You guys always treated me like a customer with oodles of cash even though I was usually in there having something cheap looked at or something basic fixed. That's the same customer service I tried to convince a certain former import shop from the early 2000's that failed (those who know me know who I am referring to) to do for their customers. Pavo
  8. I have received things from Amazon this way and haven't had a good experience yet. Granted it was only two separate orders but both were late and one was even delivered to an incorrect address. Thankfully a nice neighbor brought it over instead of keeping it. Pavo
  9. There are definitely some options for you. You could explore cloud storage as others have stated. It is possible (depending on your wifi/setup) to hook an external USB hard drive to your router and create your own cloud. You could just send photos/videos/etc... to the networked hard drive. That would be a cheaper option than a desktop even if you have to buy a new wifi router to do it. Building a desktop is very easy as others have stated if that is the route you really want to take. Microcenter is nerd Mecca and they are great at catering to BYO PC builders. You can get software such as the OS at a cheaper price if you ask for the system builders version. You'll pay a little more for the hardware at Microcenter but no waiting on stuff to be shipped and you can just return it and replace if a component doesn't work. I personally would recommend staying away from any mass manufactured desktop. Hard to avoid if you want a laptop but there are so many better options if getting a desktop. The major manufacturers (such as Dell) are all struggling financially and I wouldn't trust most (especially Dell) to be around too long and you may lose product support. That and they tend to load their computers with software that just bogs everything down. Just my .02 cents. Pavo
  10. This one literally made me LOL. NICE Pavo
  11. That's definitely not normal. I have had a Panny Plasma for two years with no problems. Knock on wood. The circuit board should be pretty easy to fix as it is a common failure. Googling installation instructions and possibly picking up a good board off EBay should solve the problem. I've never done it myself but believe there is a panel in the back you can unscrew and replace the circuit board. Pavo
  12. You all beat me to the Best Buy one. That's actually a good price for what it is. And as others have stated you can run any amount of speakers up to 7.1. I actually use my receiver in 2.1 stereo mode at the moment. You can actually configure most receivers to pass through sound as well to the tv, but that would be a waste. TV speakers are never better than even the cheapest HTIB speakers. Pavo
  13. There are dealerships in Columbus that do that out of state inspections as well. I had one done a few years ago at Germain Ford on Billingsly off Sawmill. It was literally a ten minute thing and they did exactly what spectragod said. Cost like $10. Pavo
  14. I think this is great advice honestly. I am very much a HT nerd and have owned both Denon and Onkyo receivers in the last eight years (not either of the ones posted by the OP). I have noticed (my own experience) that Onkyo tends to give more options, such as extra HDMI inputs/outputs, codecs, and others, than most major receivers but do run a LOT hotter than most others and tend to not put out as much true wattage per channel as claimed. Denon is a great all around receiver. User interface is pretty intuitive and they do not overrate their wattage as much. You may sacrifice an HDMI input or two and a few other frills but honestly most average home users don't need them any ways. The Denon audio calibration tends to be more accurate IMO as well. Pavo
  15. This... Man I really hate people anymore. I'm 33 and a cranky old man already. LOL Pavo
  16. I believe it is issue 50 when Rick is in an antibiotic overdose in a house that he and Carl holed up in after the separation after the fall of the prison. They said on Talking Dead that one of the early episodes of the second half of season 4 was literally verbatim from the comics. My guess is that it is this one given the sneak peaks they gave of the first episode after this break. They showed Carl screaming trying to wake Rick up and also him leading walkers away from the house they were in. I believe that is directly from issue 50. Somewhere around there. I could be off though. Pavo
  17. Good old psycho Negan! I'd love to see that play out but I'm thinking that would be in a different season. Maybe gets introduced end of this season. Pavo
  18. I've been thinking about this unfortunate death (regardless of circumstances) and it reminded me of the first time I noticed Paul Walker in a movie. Some of you old DSM'ers may remember this story and time but it was back when the first F&F came out. Some of you may remember the failed venture that was Force Fed Industries and my association with the company. I was friends with the crew over there through the original Columbus DSM crew way back when. They sponsored my car build and my ambition of having one of the fastest A/T DSM's in the country. (Made it to 4 on the list thanks to Dan's good driving and before it became cool to have an A/T). Thanks to a not yet failed engagement with an ex I got rid of the car. Prior to getting rid of the car and FFI going out of business, they sponsored a car show movie premier at Crosswoods in Pickerington for the original F&F. I never could stand the whole ricer mods that the movie brought but I appreciated the culture it created at the time. There were so many people that were into foreign cars or into making cars their own. People (generally) were friendly and always willing to help others and the community as a whole was so much fun to be around. The side of the movie theater was blocked off and there were so many different cars that showed up, foreign and domestic. So many different mods and personalities and it was just fun. Probably helped that I was in my early 20's then and was a newb but it was fun. Most attendees went into the movie early and came back out and hung out. It was just a blast and a lot of friends were made that night. Most of us spent the night railing on the movie for inaccuracies such as shifting 6 times on a 5-speed Eclipse, but regardless the movie was a great popcorn movie. Most people had smiles on their faces that continued into the night. To me the movie promoted a great idea of having a make shift family among those with common interests (cars). It was cheesy and Paul's performance certainly was also. But it was fun and it created a culture that was fun for several years. I have enjoyed the F&F movies over the years and they always remind me of that time at the theater and those few years when the import community in Columbus was really close. It saddened me to hear of Paul's death and my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Pavo
  19. Seriously that 13 yard DB cushion has been pissing me off all year. You see moments where they obviously coached them up to play press coverage but then they slide back into the zone far too quickly. It would be different if they had linebackers that could actually do something in pass coverage but they don't. The D just makes me lose hair quicker and grey quicker than I already do. Pavo
  20. I still think there is a payoff with the rat situation. On the Talking Dead with Scott Gimple he said there definitively would be an answer about who was doing that. My guess... It is the little girl and Carol lied as others have pointed out. I loved last nights episode. Loved it. Hated the way Herschel went down but it was a good episode. I see Rick and Carl going off on their own for a while (good thing) like in the comics. I think Tyrese and the kids end up running across Carol eventually and that situation with the bodies/rats comes to a head. I loved how they split everyone up. I don't think there will be five different groups for long (Daryl/annoying Greene Daughter, Rick/Carl, Glenn/Bus of people, Maggie/Bob group, Tyrese/kids). I think it'll end up being two/three groups that find each other eventually. Great epidsode though. Worth the build up. Pavo P.S. I don't think Judith is dead... well not yet.
  21. LOL... Yep he's back and wickeder (word???) than ever. Should be an interesting mid-season finale. I have a feeling it will be VERY close to the comics based on the previews. There's a few characters we may be seeing the last of on team prison. Pavo
  22. There are actually two more episodes. Sunday's, which is likely another Gov centric episode, and the one on December 1st. The one on the 1st is the mid-season finale. I have high hopes for that one. Usually something good happens in the mid-season finale. Pavo
  23. I can't think of the name of the new showrunner that took over this season but it seems like he does pull in more of the comic than others. Listening to him on Talking Dead a few episodes ago gave me hope. He said that there is one episode this season (implied it was the second half of this season) was filmed entirely as scripted in the comic book. I don't expect the comic to be mirrored exactly but it's nice when they follow some of it more accurately. Seems like the tone of the show is better. Pavo
  24. This actually gives me more hope! Might be an epic mid-season finale! Bring on the tank scenes! Pavo
  25. No disagreements here. I heard rumors of a two Gov stand alone episodes at the beginning of the season and was leery then. Honestly I'm still a fan and like the show but it felt like it threw this season to a grinding halt. Especially after such a great episode like the previous one that featured Herschel. That was a great episode. I'm willing to wait it out though in hopes of a really good pay off during the mid-season finale. I don't expect Oscar worthy performances every episode but I expect better than that Gov episode. Seemed too drawn out. Maybe I'm wrong though. Pavo
